Julius Bahn Avis 42

This is my 2nd extension with Julius Bahn!
It looks absolutely fabulous and I’m over the moon with it.
The team have excelled themselves yet again!
A massive thanks to Ken, Dan, Si and Rich.

Excellent job in replacing an ageing conservatory with an extended garden room. The design worked out well linkiing both our living room and kitchen, matching well with the existing house.
We were particularly pleased with the workmanship of Rich and Simon and a pleasure to have them both working on site. They turned up when expected and kept the site clean and tidy.
Overall very pleased with the outcome giving us additional useable living space.

Wayne and George were fabulous at fitting all the pieces and delivering an excellent Orangery. Chris Rice-Munro did an outstanding job in progressing the design through the planners. His ability to alter the solution to match the Grade 2 curettage issues was excellent. It is just a pity that the managers had no client focus. It was as if they thought clients were only there for their benefit. They were unable to communicate effectively.

We are more than pleased with our new barn/3 bay garage from Julius Bahn and the assistance with design and planning permission. We are also grateful for the help provided by Matt Smith, their area representative. His knowledge of reliable local small companies for foundations, drainage, brickwork, electrics etc. was invaluable. He also kept a close eye on progress. The speed and accuracy of the construction team and roofers is impressive. An excellent job all round.

Beautiful barn, a pleasure to look at and use! Our barn was delivered and constructed on time and to a high standard, delighted with the result. Good company to work with, would definitely recommend.

We just "love" our orangery.
Matt Smith gave us a great design and advice to extend the orangery to 3.5 metres which gave us more space. Jordan (JJ bricklaying) did a good job with the 1st stage build then Rob and Bradley installed the Oak frame, fitted like a glove. The 2nd phase was completed by Jordan to a high standard. The neighbours are impressed as well.

Julius Bahn have just completed a garden annex for us which is absolutely stunning and is much admired by everyone who visits, even our expert picky builder is impressed with the outstanding quality.
From the very beginning of Phil's design and thorough commitment through to planning and construction, at every stage communication is excellent, emails always answered promptly and efficiently by Neil Williamson. Rob has been very thorough organising and following up on building work, making long trips to site, discussing everything clearly and reassuringly that if required he will be there to deal with any future issues.
All construction work was carried out to a high degree of professionalism and completed within the time constraints a special mention to top duo Simon and Richard who installed the frame doors and windows, they were a delight to have on site, prompt hard working and diligent, their highly skilled workmanship is plain to see. The roofing team too it is beautiful far better than we ever imagined!

The team who assembled our conservatory were great - efficient and really nice to deal with. The conservatory itself is also absolutely beautiful.

Really pleased with our orangery from Julius Bahn. The communication from beginning to end was great and the team listened to our brief and had great suggestions that we incorporated into the design. Thanks to the team!

Part one

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Julius Bahn and all the team. Our start to this journey was an extension of sorts to my current home but an Oak framed one with excellent previous designs to offer. I contacted them to which a stunning brochure came through the post and also the complimentary arrival of a very well experienced designer who has provided a wealth of good honest advice from the outset. His mindset of detail, planning and especially listening was second to none and felt honoured to receive this advice. We have been very impressed with the planning process collaborativley working with me to obtain the acceptance of granted planning permission. Currently we are in manufacturing stage and await the installation and I will update you then.

We had a great service from Julius Bahn at all stages of the process from the initial consultation to the completed building, the communication was excellent and the subcontractors teams, carpenter, scaffolders and roofers all a pleasure to deal with. We could not find a single fault in the completed building, highly recommended.

Extremely pleased, very professional company. Very knowledgeable staff, from designers to planning & contract departments.

The initial sales pitch at the start of the project, to completing our build was longer than expected, but that said, the end product is what we envisaged.

The two guys building our oak framed office / garage building were helpful, very competent and did a good job - Thanks to Leighton and Ben for this.
They worked hard on the job and their build quality was noted by us and other contractors (build was square and level in all areas)

Some of the communication with head office along the way was time consuming and this could have been improved, but the project was completed and achieved what was planned. So overall, we got what we paid for and are generally pleased with the outcome.

Be aware Prime Oak and Julius Bahn are as one and share the same terrible attitude towards their customers.

Please don't use these people. The product is OK, but nothing exceptional. However, the people are very difficult to work with and very aggressive. Read the contract very carefully as they have managed to "weaponise" the contract to minimise the work for them. I would never use them again.

Be in no doubt Prime Oak and Julius Bahn are linked so beware.

Good quality and final product looks great but late delivery and some of the contractors were just unpleasant to deal with.

Terrible experience with these guys, I would have taken them to court but by the end of it we were so stressed and dealing with a lot of anxiety. I would strongly advise you avoid them. My oak framed building experience was a nightmare, they can’t measure, they changed the conditions after we’d agreed to purchase and had given them a £15k non refundable deposit, and then they will not respond to your queries. Half way through our process they told us we need to insert steel beams into our house. We eventually had to employ our builder to install the building. The total cost was £28k and it was so unsatisfactory, don’t listen to their brochure blurb, please please just choose one of the many other companies that do this. I wish I could share photos of the gaps in our building, we told them they'd measured wrong, our builders told them but they wouldn't listen and then tried to blame everybody else. There is a commercial director that may get involved, I would love to share his emails, that's if he replies to you.
