WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Firstly I had to call to see when the glasses would be delivered as there wasn't any communication other than the order form, I was told they are on the way and was only given a tracking number after I asked, the lady on the phone was rude and stated “its not her problem” in regards to postage needing a signature. Also, heavy breathing down the phone was very unpleasant and unprofessional.
When the package arrived, I was surprised to find the delivery box was a cheap flexible box with nothing protecting the glasses from damage in transit, much better packaging is required 100%!!
Unfortunately the glasses had to be returned, nothing to do with quality, that was fine.
After paying nearly £10 for a signed for next day delivery, the tracking showed on 3 separate occasions delivery had been attempted but nobody was there to sign for the package… it was returned to the address stated on their returns policy. I called several times to be met by the same person, who could do with some customer service training. After a few email exchanges, they requested a change of delivery address, to their local post office, 1 hour and 30 minutes later I rearranged the delivery, which should not have been left to me. In the words of the lady I spoke to, I should have said “its not my problem”
After reading the returns policy it doesn't state that a partial refund is offered, to be told by the lady on the phone “oh it should say” so another suggestion would be to make this clear on the returns policy which I read several times.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. Use a company such as glasses direct, the only reason I used this company was there nowhere else that had the frame my daughter wanted.

Best optical services in Merseyside

Friendly and helpful staff. Outstanding quality of both frames and lenses as well as very speedy service. Their prices are exceptionally competitive, easily the cheapest in Wirral in my 30+ years experience. They have a beautiful and extensive range of quality frames, something for everyone and more than affordable. Most of all, every member of staff' including the owner, are friendly, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and, a real good laugh! I had a reglaze done last week, they were ready in 1 day. I'm VERY happy with their work and i'll be getting my distance specs reglazed here too. I highly recommend Just Specs to everyone.

AGGRESSIVE INTIMIDATING AND NOT TRUSTWORTHY

This is a family run business with mother and daughter at the front house. Her presentation physically was untidy with rude and aggressive manners. Definitely not trustworthy and people should be aware and paying attention when going there. Otherwise they will be robbed and treated poorly!
When I went first time there I was told by the daughter that I could not an appointment with calling them first. She gave me a card and a week later I called to book an appointment for glasses and contact lenses prescription. The appointment was a week later on 11 October.
When I arrived there on 11 oct. I was given only 1 prescription for glasses. When I asked about the contact lenses I was told insistently that I did not made an appointment for that and she became quite intimidating and aggressive when I kept affirming that I was sure I requested the appointment for the contact lenses because it was my primary use.
Because time had already passed from the first time I went there and it was an emergency for for me, I agreed for her to reschedule for another date which she wrote on the card 8 Nov 2022 , it was 3 weeks later. She then proceeded to ask me which made was my contact lenses and where did I normally buy them. I told her I didn’t remember the made and I buy them online. She asked me to send to her via email the name and where I buy. But because they are an optician I became intrigued as to why she wouldn’t know where to buy even tho I was NOT requesting to buy there! I only wanted the prescription! Just before the optician left the shop (he only came for my appointment) they were talking who they going to call for my appointment for the contact lenses, and seemed to me they were not sure themselves, I hear the optician tell the daughter without making the test on me, that my prescription would be so and so and explained to her that that it was a subtraction from my glasses prescription.
From the moment she blamed me for her failure to make the appointment, asking me where I buy, them not sure who was going to do the test and the optician quick calculation of my contact lenses prescription, I became very suspicious with all together! Before I left the shop I asked how long would take for my new glasses to be ready and she responded would be in a week.
When I arrived at home I decided that I wouldn’t send via email what she asked about the contact lenses but would attend to the appointment she gave me for 8 Nov.
Week 1 passed, 2..3.. I received NOTHING from them to let me know that my glasses was ready to pick up, so I called them, she responded they were ready and when I asked since when they are ready she again became defensive and intimidating! I proceeded to go soon after the call to pick up the glasses, and because they didn’t had the decency and professionalism to call me or send a msg like they did previously not to miss the appointment, I decided to let her know that I wanted to cancel the appointment that was coming next week on the 8 Nov, and before I could give an excuse as to why which I was going to lie and say I had another appointment just because she’s so aggressive and intimidating, she quickly told me that didn’t need to cancel because she never made the appointment because I never sent to her the brand and where I normally buy the lenses. Even tho I never told her that I wanted to buy there or requested for her to worry about where to buy my lenses! Even tho she gave me a card with an appointment! All those actions I find very untrustworthy and trying to make money in all possible ways by tricking the customers! After she gave the new glasses and I tried in front of her but I could not see, she told me I had to keep the glasses without seeing properly for a few weeks for my eyes to adjust! She did not wanted to listen so I left. But when I arrived home I felt this was wrong I was not going to be forced to keep glasses that clearly I could not see. I called again to explain that I needed for her to arrange an appointment with the optician because it was an emergency but she wouldn’t let me talk, disconnected the call 3 times in my face which I insisted in call back again and again. With her it was her way or nothing and would listen becoming very entitled aggressive and intimidating! No professionalism at all or respect for a customer! At the end she told me if I didn’t wanted to wait for weeks for my eye to settle with the new glasses, I would have to pay for the optician to see me again, I told her this was not right and she then told me that if she was going to call the optician and he gives the same prescription number I had to pay for the appointment which I did not agree. I gave the glasses back because had no use. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
