Although we had a small 'hiccup' with the item,upon sending an email reporting a slight fault...they quickly sent out a replacement pair.

Auf der Seite des Anbieters wird mit einer über 200 Jahre währenden Tradition geworben. Die Handschuhe der Marke Dents für € 150,-, die ich kaufte, wurden in China gefertigt, wie ein Einnäher bewies. Sie stanken stark nach Chemie. Darüber hinaus wurden sie in einem lediglich leicht gepolsterten Briefumschlag versendet, der stark zerknittert und teilweise eingerissen bei mir ankam. Wenn ich nicht die Zollformalitäten, die bei einer Rücksendung notwendig werden, um z.B. die Einfuhrumsatzsteuer, immerhin € 30,00 bei meiner Bestellung zurück zu bekommen und anderes scheuen würde, wäre die Ware retour gegangen. Anziehen werde ich die Chinaware nicht und bin - immerhin- wenigstens um eine Erfahrung reicher.

But it was dealt with very swiftly and I was refunded
I was offered to choose something else but it was a gift and wanted what I'd ordered
But for future reference I would order again from this company it hasn't put me off as it wasn't there fault

Für eine größere Bestellung von 4 ledernen Fotorahmen (171€) waren schon 28€ Versandgebühren gesalzen. Dazu kamen - ohne jede Vorwarnung - ganze 44€ Zollgebühren, als der DHL-Bote vor der Tür stand. Insg. 72 EURO für den Versand nach Deutschland! Das Unternehmen muss Kunden SICHTBAR auf zusätzlich anfallende Zollgebühren hinweisen. Nur auf einen Satz im Kleingedruckten hinzuweisen ist unlauter. Sie wissen nur zu genau, dass keiner der Kunden das bei einer Bestellung auf der website liest.

Very pleased with my item BUT
Unfortunately I was disappointed with the packaging ! Very sparse 😕

I ordered a smoking Jacket made by Bown of London for a great price. Item is lovely and quality. It arrived in fantastic time. It was missing the special bag that had been advertised as being included so I contacted their customer services via email. They came back to me first thing the following day to say the items were not being supplied with the bag anymore but they would follow up with the supplier. They managed to get one sent to me and got stock themselves. Customer services also kept me upto date the whole time on where the package was so they were tracking it for me. They actually couldn’t do enough for me, amazing customer service well done. Shout out to David! I would definitely order from them again, brilliant price, brilliant item, brilliant service. Thank you.

Lovely bag. The colour is slightly misleading on the website (it is much lighter than the one in the picture). Perfect 50th birthday present for my brother!

Extremely slow - handling times of 5 business days in some cases before even posting. Slow response time and poor customer service. Eventually got a refund after 7 business days without items being posted, and they said refund would take 10 business days to appear in account. Just seems very slow and scammy.

Edit: in response to reply - while it does state handling times, it’s something I (and I expect most other people) don’t notice as you don’t expect handling times of in-stock items to ever be material (just based on dealing with many other online stores). For example, once I cancelled my order, I placed a similar order with Mrporter (another UK based online store) and by close of business that same day they had already confirmed my products had been shipped.
I think you need to reduce warehouse times significantly to be competitive, and in the meantime have a pop up prior to confirming purchase letting people know if shipping & handling times are material.
I appreciate the response and apology. The only reason I left this review is the first person I communicated with over email (Alex) didn’t provide any apology or explanation of why shipping & handling times were so long and came across as rude. When I responded with direct feedback and suggestions I didn’t even receive a reply. The second person I dealt with that actioned the refund (David) was a lot better.
