So La-Z-Boy has a lifetime warranty so they claim. Their lifetime warranty is a sham. Despite their own ads stating how they fixed someone’s chair after “51 years “ they weasel out of it

“The limited lifetime warranty is defined as coverage for the expected life of the product and applies only to defects in materials or manufacturing. Given the age of your unit, it has surpassed its expected product lifespan. Any issues at this point are considered normal wear and tear, which are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty”

So “lifetime” is not lifetime but rather whatever age until it breaks at which point it’s at the end of the life of the product. Lifetime is based on what they believe the product lifespan should be.

Recliner is 20 years old but I paid 10x the price of the cheapest recliner because it was supposed to be a lifetime warranty.

Crap ! Very disappointing . Low quality materials and poor craftsmenship . Not the dependable quality lazy-boy " was " known for . I would tell everyone not to buy .

LaZBoy no longer makes good furniture. My couch is awful. It's so uncomfortable nobody wants to sit on it because you can feel the hard springs. I have them come out and they put a 1-in piece of foam rubber on one side of the couch seat. This is a brand new sofa! You shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff. Regardless call me it didn't help so I'm trying to get in touch with them to see if they'll do anything to help me. Otherwise I have just thrown thousands of dollars away.

This has to be the worst purchase! When I lean my arms on the sides, my elbows are against wood! Was told it’s the design and nothing they can do! The mechanism under neath does not work well when I recline (hit and miss the footrest goes up) and the seat cushion is crooked! Buyers be aware…there is no more quality built chairs…just junk in disguise! And cannot get your money back nor exchange!

Honestly I worked with the Neoshoe MO & they prided there plant on quality. I was a Site Manager for one of their suppliers. I have only that as a reference so I expected that level of quality and service.
I can tell you how awful it has been, the product delivered is defective and the cost was $10K! Ridiculous, I was trying to reach Daniel Harley this district Sales Manager and I have found it impossible outside of LinkedIn-terrible insulation from the customers! Very disappointing and discouraging that a pillar of quality has degraded to this from my experience as a supplier.

Our sales person was Maddy and she made the whole experience fun! She showed us everything and was very knowledgeable about the chairs. I love my new chair. It was just what I was looking for!

Awful quality, awful customer service. They currently allow a 3 day window on returns. The chair itself makes bad noises when it is reclined. Our 10 year old Lazboy chair is in great working condition. Lazboy quality does not exist anymore. There's a new owner who is just ripping customers off.

I bought a few La-z-boy chairs years ago and was very satisfied but the reclining sofa we bought 2 and a half years ago is terrible. Within 6 months the mechanism started grinding on one side. No problem, lifetime warranty. 8 months later same thing. Replaced. 6 months later the other side does the same thing. Replaced. One month ago one side won't come out of reclined position. Electrical problem. Two month wait, still waiting. Just finding out now that Lifetime warranty is only for parts NOT LABOUR (only 2 years). We are in our late 60's so we are not abusing this sofa. This is complete garbage they are selling. Made in USA? Might as well shop from China. What a waste of $4500.

Purchase a lazy boy recliner in 2022 paid over &1500.00 for it and it’s falling apart , Lazy boy furniture is not worth buying . It don’t last it sucks.

Just don’t. Learn from my mistakes - bought the same custom leather recliner (Rowan) twice, and each time the chair had multiple fatal flaws. First chair was consigned and the second will soon follow. I loved my 2017 recliner and wanted to repeat the success. But alas.

We went to La-Z-boy looking for quality furniture for our living room. Unlike other stores we visited before, La-Z-boy had staff to help us find what we were looking for. Our experience with Ana Ray, the home furniture consultant, was fantastic. She helped us all the way, answering our questions, showing us options, and even finalizing the purchase. Then, we met with Ahmed Al-Washah, the design consultant. Ahmed made an especially trip from Albuquerque to our Santa Fe home to create a plan that would work in our living room. The digital layout with the furniture we had chosen was ready in a few days. We loved it! Ahmed took into consideration various features of our home and put it all together to work harmoniously.
The design consultation is one of the reasons we went to La-Z-boy, and it was well worth the trip. Ahmed did an incredible job at designing our new living room into something refreshing, comfortable, and enjoyable.
We’re very pleased with the store’s service and look forward to getting our new furniture delivered.

Spent $9000 on a lazy boy 2 piece recliner, after having recliners for 1 week and realized how cheaply and unforgettable they were, Lazyboy basically told me to hit the road and I had no options with returning the product , do not buy from Lazyboy !!!

Foam has moved within the Cushions and now the springs are sagging.2yrs old

Bought 2 recliner totaling $3742. Both chairs same model, one decked-out with leather costing $2,142. 1st day the chair makes extremely loud noises when rocking, so loud my family asked that I no longer rock in it. Also, the Leather chair ($$$) my feet are 4" from the floor when I sit in it. When I sit in the other chair identical model, they are flat on the ground. Same goes for the leather chair in the store my feet were flat on the ground.

I called the store, and they said that it is not their problem that they are "Just a Gallery" and the chair warranty "should" take care of it. Now the rest of the story...

They pushed my call to some 3rd party customer care which could not tell me when they will be out.

The last time I purchased, nearly $4K for 2 chairs from La-Z-boy and had issues the warranty folks came out a few weeks later and said they had to order Parts. 2 years later still waiting on the parts and I have to pay for as they are not covered by the "Life-time Warranty" I paid for.

Do not buy a chair from this Corporate SCAM... Poor Quality and Service.

We purchased several La-Z-Boy leather recliners and a matching sofa in 2018, expecting long-term durability based on the brand’s reputation and price point.

In 2024, the side panels on every piece began to deteriorate and peel badly. The damage occurred in low-wear areas and appears to be material failure rather than normal wear and tear. Because we were travelling extensively at the time, we did not immediately file a warranty claim.

When we contacted La-Z-Boy in early 2025, we were told the furniture was just a couple of months out of warranty and that nothing could be done—no repair options, no goodwill accommodation, no support.

As a result, we are now replacing all of this furniture and taking it to the dump, which is extremely disappointing given its age and cost.

What makes this especially frustrating is that we have very similar leather recliner furniture in our basement, purchased over 25 years ago from a different manufacturer. That furniture has endured kids, friends, and decades of daily use—and is still in excellent condition today.

For a brand positioned as premium, we expected far better longevity and customer support. Unfortunately, our experience suggests that La-Z-Boy’s materials and durability no longer match their reputation, and we would not purchase from them again.

We purchased what was described as a high-quality, comfortable loveseat, but what we received is nothing close to what was shown or demonstrated in the store. The in-store model was plush, supportive, and felt well-constructed; the one delivered to us is extremely firm, uncomfortable, and feels as though you are sitting directly on the wooden frame.

It appears the showroom models are intentionally designed to give a misleading impression of comfort and quality. The product delivered is inferior, uncomfortable, and completely misrepresented. To make matters worse, the company relies on fine print to prevent any returns or meaningful resolution.

Their only proposed “fix” was to send someone to add more filling, which their own representative admitted would be temporary and would not hold up long term. This is not a reasonable solution for a product sold as a premium piece of furniture.

Since raising further concerns, the company has now stopped responding to me entirely. They have made it clear that I have no options and that I am essentially stuck with the defective, misrepresented item. Their refusal to communicate or offer any fair resolution is unprofessional and unacceptable.

This has been an extremely disappointing and costly mistake, and I strongly caution others to avoid purchasing from this company.

We made a large purchase of evidently a faux leather sofa, loveseat, and two recliners in March 2025. They were delivered in July of 2025. We were greatly disappointed to see how lazy boy quality has dropped. This furniture was not constructed like ours we purchased in 1997. Our former furniture was heavier with wood construction. These new ones are light furniture, evidently with particle board. And reclining mechanism is loud and noisy unlike ours we bought in 1997 that were quiet and smooth in operation. If we had only known about lazy boy’s cheaper quality we would have purchased another brand. We wasted a lot of money.

Much of the chair is faux-leather that peals off its backing after 7 yrs use (they don't tell you this.. they tell you you are buying a "leather chair")

I bought one of new electric recliners, over $2,000, and am not happy with it. I called the company and they could care less. I have bought several of the manual recliners in the past and also at least one for family but will not buy any more. I bought the electric one because I injured my shoulder and did not think I could work the handle, but it is not comfortable.
So, I will not be buying any more. It is very disappointing as I thought the company had a good reputation.
