I bought 2 recliners and 1 loveseat
I have always bought Lazy boy recliners. So when it was time for a change there was no question of what brand. I bought 2 recliners and 1 loveseat. Lazy boy quality is nothing like it use to be. You can feel wood in many places. Matter of fact both my chairs have little holes in the fabric where your legs rest. One chair has a spring coming out of the top back. They are not as comfortable as they use to be. I always recommend lazy boy but never again will I purchase the products or recommend them. So disappointed.
The store displayed a high-end recliner, but the delivered product felt cheaply made and uncomfortable
The store displayed a high-end recliner, but the delivered product felt cheaply made and uncomfortable, with problems from day one.
1. The head support is poorly designed and manufactured, so my head would start aching after a 5-minute rest on it.
2. The right hand support is too narrow, so my arm was sliding off it repeatedly.
3. There is no support for the left arm except for the middle console, and since it is lower than the shoulder, the arm would become numb after resting on the console for a couple of minutes.
4. The leg support does not extend far enough, so your legs are lower than your upper body. It reduces blood flow and makes them numb quickly.
5. The stitching is sloppy and makes the loveseat look like it’s been used for a long time.
The sales presentation was completely misleading, setting high expectations that the product quickly failed to meet. I repeatedly contacted customer service and asked for at least a replacement, but my complaints were rudely ignored, and no real solution was offered. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch, leaving me frustrated and without the premium recliner I paid for. I urge others to avoid this product and company altogether.

Bad quality
Ordered a love seat, two recliners. I could not be more disappointed with the product. Looks like a six year old put it together. Uneven stitches, loose material and no padding in one of the chairs. A inspection was made and parts ordered. Here's my issue, this is new furniture, less than a month old and I am already replacing parts. What's wrong with this picture. They should replace the furniture not fix it. The quality is not what I expected from lazy boy. Where did the customer service go?
Update: Received a call from Lazy Boy to let me know that they have the right to fix and or repair any issues. So I guess buying new furniture and paying top dollar for it does not mean you get quality or working pieces.
Very disappointed. Buyer beware lazy boy is not the company it used to be. Don't waist your money.
Received the replacement parts that were ordered to fix my broken new furniture. Two medal cup holders were sent. Now I would like to know how cup holders are going to fix the material issue. Apparently lazy boy has no intention on fixing anything, just trying to run out the warranty.
Again don't waist your money on poorly put together furniture. They do not stand behind their product.
DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR CRAP!
DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR CRAP!! We spent $17,000 on furniture and it is literally garbage! We have had to have 3 service calls on one sofa and it STILL isn’t right. In addition to the sofa issues, we’re having issues with our recliners too. They use what I refer to as quilt batting to cushion the foot rests on their recliners and it just balls up under the material. It looks like a cheap, poorly filled comforter that the inside filler separates and balls up. They said that’s how they build them and there’s nothing to be done. The service technician ACTUALLY instructed me to turn a big, heavy recliner upside down and stick my hand in there to “fluff” the batting up when it gets too bad. We also had to return an end table 2 times before finally giving up and keeping the least damaged one … I colored in a few chips with a furniture marker. My coffee table came damaged also, we got that exchanged. They shipped us a recliner covered with the wrong material and tried to argue with me that we had ordered that material … NO! We finally got the correct chair. We, stupidly, spent just shy of $1500 on an area rug which I just noticed was coming apart in 2 places and they said it was only covered for 30 days. I’m now waiting for their response to being informed that we purchased an extended warranty on everything. This sounds too horrible to be true, I know, but every word of it is! I can’t discourage everyone enough from buying a single pillow from this horrible company. Be prepared, they are ALL KINDS of nice and attentive while you’re shopping, that ALL ends after the purchase.
Before you spend thousands, read this.
Before you spend thousands of dollars on a La-Z-Boy, understand exactly what happens when their electronics fail. My power recliner began malfunctioning while still under warranty, but when the control box completely died just a couple of weeks after the warranty expired, customer service told me I was on my own or I could pay hundreds for a technician to come out and would have to pay for the parts as well.
They offered zero troubleshooting help and won't just sell me the replacement part, let alone provide it under the warranty. Instead, their entire system is a trap designed to force you into paying hundreds of dollars for a mandatory "technician visit" to do a five-minute repair that requires zero tools. I ordered the module from another source, easily replaced it myself and fixed my chair.
They do not stand behind their expensive products. Save your money, buy from a brand that actually supports its customers, or be prepared to source your own parts online and fix it yourself.
I gave a one star only because I had to…
I gave a one star only because I had to in order to write a review. We bought a sectional and after four months had a cushion disintegrate. We contacted customer service and were told it was normal wear and tear, this was after four months of receiving the couch. Do not buy from this company, their customer service sucks!!
La-Z Boy’s workmanship disappoints
I was incredibly disappointed when my La-Z Boy sofa arrived. It was of extremely poor workmanship. Seams bulged and were uneven. A pouch of fabric hung where the line was supposed to be straight. First I was told that a repair person could fix the flaws and then I was told that the flaws met the company’s standards. La-Z Boy disappoints big time.
Lifetime Warranty a Joke
I'm literally rolling on the floor laughing after finding out my La-Z-Boy recliners "Lifetime Warranty" is over after being told my products life is over so the Warranty.
Really?!
We went to la-z-Boy on Sunday…
We went to la-z-Boy on Sunday afternoon. We were greater by Sharon immediately. She had a big smile and was very friendly. I described what I wanted and my needs as a larger woman. She listened attentively and then took us to that area of the store.
I tried numerous chairs and as we went around she had noted which ones I liked and which ones functioned for me. When I found one I liked she told me right away it could be raised and went and was able to attach the extra base to the chair. We ended up purchasing two chairs. I would highly recommend la-z-boy and ask for Sharon she went over and above to help us.
Lazy boy sucks
Lazy boy sucks, its expensive and they don't want to fix the shit furniture when it falls apart even when you purchase extra warranty. Don't waste your money. I paid 1700 dollars on a recliner and in less then 2 years the fabric was fraying and they said thats not covered that it is wear and tear, now the back of the recliner where you put your back at is broke and they said my warranty was up and I would have to pay for shipping and 235.00 for the service call just for them to come look at it. Apparently the lifetime warranty we purchase because we were told it covers everything, dog could chew or tear it, it would be covered, spill something on it, it would be covered and well its not. The warranty only covers the frame, now a wood piece that runs alongside of the back rest isn't Apparently considered the frame. I purchased a Broyhill back in 2011 for 400 dollars at big lots and it still looks like the day I bought it home but a peice of shit I bought from Lazy boy for 1700 is falling apart and looks like hell within 5 years. What the hell is wrong with this picture. If you don't want to waste your money, shop somewhere else.
La-Z-Boy
Purchased La-Z-Boy furniture in the past and was very happy with it. The most recent purchase was a complete disaster; the workmanship was unbelievably poor and totally unacceptable and was told by La-Z-Boy that it was up to their standards.
This was purchased at the O'Fallon MO store, and the manager Alexia Redus was condescending, argumentative, and did not listen to our concerns and constantly talked over us.
Based on my recent experience, I will never purchase La-Z-Boy furniture again. Should you do decide to purchase La-Z-Boy, I would strongly recommend not using the O'Fallon MO store.
Lazy boy..
Lazy boy... huh lazy furniture manufacturers. After one year of having our new sofa, wich we paid very good money for,we needed warranty work the leather had faded and the padding was crushed.lazy boys warranty response was to send a technician out with a marker to color in the faded area, and bring some crappy 2 dollar polyfill stuffing...not pad.long story short my wife bought bought foam padding and we fixed it ourselves. POOR QUALITY FURNITURE .THEY ARE THE LITTLE CEASARS OF FURNITURE.
La-Z-Boy crap furniture
La-Z-Boy used to be great furniture in the 80s and before. Fast forward they begin using plastic parts lower quality upholstery. Furniture, nail sag, easily lift parts snap and break into their service as of 2026 is $160 an hour with nearly everything taking at least two hours. A $10 part you can buy off Amazon they charge you five times the price, while the Amazon part is steal and their replacement parties plastic. Call customer service and let them know that you’re unsatisfied. They will lecture you and try to explain and justify their crappy overpriced furniture, parts, and service. If you place an order and you need to change it, you’ll never get a return call to cancel the order you’re stuck with it. They went from hero to zero in two decades and it’s pathetic.
Well I am not much on reviews reading…
Well I am not much on reviews reading and/or posting. Looks like I should have read some before buying my LaZBoy recliner. After all they are LaZBoy. Everyone loves LaZBoy. Um, maybe not. Much less me. I needed to purchase a recliner prior to my open heart surgery. I visited the West End location in Short Pump, VA.
The Salesperson was very attentive and helpful, she understood that I had to have my recliner delivered before my surgery because this would be my bed and comfort during the recovery period. As promised they delivered four days prior. The delivery guys were great.
Then the wheels came off. The chair has a small bit of glue or something that makes the cloth on the right arm of the chair feel very hard right under my elbow
and then again under my forearm. This is not acceptable so I called the store about two minutes after the delivery guys left. I explained that this wasn’t going to work and I need a new chair by Monday afternoon. I was told that should be possible. I was called later and told that Monday was not possible.
After asking them to reconsider since this was a condition of my purchase from the beginning. I informed the salesperson that I just want them to pick it up and give my money back she said she needed to talk to the Manager. When she came back to the phone I was informed that they take it back with a 30% restocking fee. So I went off and told her to put the Manager on the call. She told me that this is company policy. So my guess is that if they were going to restock this chair them someone else is going to end up with it.
You know even Good Will not take furniture because they do not know the condition of the home that it came from. I am regretful that I thought LaZBoy was a sign of quality. Well they suck. If I am going lose 30% of my money I am going to make the most of it and I will sit in front of their store on the public sidewalk and warn everyone of their shady business practices. After all, I am going to have nothing to do while recovering. I might even buy a recliner put it in the back of pickup and sit in the parking lot just close enough for everyone to see me.
i've given them a few chances now, and the colour faded
i've given them a few chances now, and the colour faded right after the first wash, kinda, which completely ruined the whole purchase for me! Fingers crossed they improve!
Worst chairs I’ve ever bought
Worst chairs I’ve ever bought. Bought January 2025. Lower back cushion is gone on both one on sale for $2000 the other I bought a few weeks later at $1000. Insurance on both. Was told it would cost $169. To get someone out to fix it. I’ve bought chairs for $259 that had good support for years.
i have tried to place 6000 dollar order…
i have tried to place 6000 dollar order on line without success contacted customer service and bulington store both said they could not order product for me will never deal with this company again

A simple defect in manufacturing, and company did not send a physical technician FOR TWO YEARS. “Well you never know sir.” Running my 90 year old parents around in circles.
1-Star Experience with La-Z-Boy Barrie…
1-Star Experience with La-Z-Boy Barrie — Two Chairs, Over $8,000, and Extremely Disappointing Service
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with La-Z-Boy Barrie.
Approximately 5–6 years ago, I purchased a La-Z-Boy chair for around $5,000. Unfortunately, over time the leather wore and eventually ripped. Despite that experience, I continued to have faith in the La-Z-Boy brand and recently purchased my second chair from the Barrie location for approximately $3,000.
Sadly, after only five months, the new chair broke. It would only move from a sitting position to fully reclined and would not function properly.
I contacted the Barrie store, clearly explained the problem, and requested a service call. They appeared to know exactly which part was required. However, I was told the first available service appointment was 2½ weeks away. For a $3,000 chair that had failed after only five months, I found this completely unacceptable.
I then contacted both the salesperson who sold me the chair and the Barrie manager. Despite my calls, neither bothered to get back to me. As a customer who had spent thousands of dollars with La-Z-Boy, I found this lack of communication extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
When the service technician finally arrived after the 2½-week wait, I was told that the wrong part had been sent. The technician was very apologetic and said he would put a rush on the correct part.
That resulted in another service appointment and another two-week wait.
At this point, I am absolutely appalled by the level of customer service and, in particular, the leadership and customer service skills demonstrated by the Barrie manager. When a $3,000 chair fails after only five months, I would expect management to take ownership of the situation, communicate with the customer, and make every reasonable effort to resolve the problem quickly. Instead, I was left making repeated calls and waiting weeks for service, only to discover that the wrong part had been ordered.
When I look at my overall experience, I have now spent over $8,000 on two La-Z-Boy chairs within approximately five years, and both experiences have been disappointing — one chair had leather that wore and ripped, and the second chair broke after just five months.
I gave La-Z-Boy another chance because I believed in the brand. Unfortunately, that trust has now been lost.
I would NOT purchase another La-Z-Boy product, and I cannot recommend the Barrie location.
A company selling $3,000–$5,000 chairs should provide a level of quality and customer service that reflects those prices. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
Two chairs. Over $8,000 spent. One chair with leather that wore and ripped, another that broke after five months, and an extremely frustrating service experience. Very disappointing.
