I placed an order over a month ago and…
I placed an order over a month ago and still haven’t got my order. From what I’ve been told, Royal Mail ‘delivered’ the item and left it on the door stop and as a result, I have not received my item as it has clearly been taken. I am in the process of making a complaint but haven’t had any satisfactory resolution.

Hello. We are really at a loss as to why you are giving us such a bad rating? You have literally just confirmed your Patagonia Fleece was delivered and it was stolen from your doorstep, in your own review.
We would like to know what exactly we have done wrong? We have since learned that you live in a block of flats in London, yet, asked us to leave your package at your doorstep. No other instructions, just that. We did exactly what you asked and Royal Mail sent you a photo of your package sat right by your front door. You have literally just said the same.
People who get their product delivered for free, right to their front door are usually really happy and give us 5/5 rating. We gave you the exact same service as everyone else.
We therefore need to make everyone aware that your front door is in a public throughway passed by anyone and everyone.
You have a photo from Royal Mail of your package delivered and left right outside your front door.
Royal Mail email all customers with a 2 hour window of when the package is being delivered.
Were you there during this window? No
Did you tell us about a preferred safe place if not in? No
Did you ask for a signed for package so it would not be left without a signature? No
So, all the issues here relate to your instructions, or to be precise, a total absence of instructions.
All we are able to do, is follow your instructions, just like all our other customers who give us 5/5.
Fantastic experience
I could not recommend Lifesbetteroutdoors more if I tried. I ordered a beautiful Patagonia coat in the sale which arrived promptly. Unfortunately the size I ordered wasn't correct for the recipient, so I requested a return and refund due to there being no other sizes in the colour I wanted. Communication was first class all the way, from ordering the item to receiving the refund. I highly recommend this company and they will be my first choice for my outdoor clothing needs in the future. Thanks very much for the fantastic service.

Beware of this company when buying…
Beware of this company when buying items from sale.
I purchased an item, didn't notice their non-refund policy on discounted items - my fault entirely.
However, they would not even allow an exchange of size or credit note instead accusing me of being a 'type of buyer' who buys without any intention of keeping!! They failed to respond to my request for exchange / credit note.
If you are selling 'at distance', sizing guides are not always accurate when sizing labels vary, as I have found.
Peter, the owner, told me I could probably sell it for more than I paid on Vinted! Charming.
He was very hostile in his communication, rude and presumptuous. Their odd policy on sale items is tucked away in T&Cs.
Very surreptitious and disingenuous. Will not be recommending them or visiting again so do read their unusual and hidden policy on some items.
Sadly zero stars unavailable here.

I think people can make their own mind up based on this response and check the website out if they wish to make their own judgment, but I have not 'blamed' or lied about my experience and don't appreciate being told I have lied when I have not or have presumptions made about my character. I'm just giving my experience which Trust Pilot allows.

Tom Bott. When you give such negative feedback, in a public domain, you should at least tell everyone the truth. This gives us an opportunity to make improvements and address our error or issue, and what we got wrong. We may make errors occasionally.
However, by not telling the truth you are instantly losing credibility and you are giving us nothing to address or correct, except to respond to this review, with the facts.
The statements you have made can instantly be proven as false, by anyone coming to our webstore. Everything is there to be seen. Hence your review can only be described as vindictive and intended purely as an attempt to damage our reputation.
We are happy to share our email correspondence we had with you, to anyone who asks. They can write in and ask for it. We have nothing to hide.
They will see we have been very courteous, professional and helpful about your purchase and the details of it.
They will also see you have been blagging, shifting blame to us and trying to negotiate a refund on an item you had worn and known to be one off clearance item. Saying you did not read all the upfront clear information, is not our error.
For the benefit of the readers of this review it needs stating that;
- We have 2200 products online. 3, products are marked as final clearance sale, non-returnable, as they are old dead stock. They have over £100 off. It is common for retailers to highly discount old stock they need to clear, and make it non-returnable.
- Tom lies when he says we hide the T&Cs. Anyone can go an look. The opening words of the Patagonia Down Jacket Title are "Clearance Sale". The very first words on the product description is, in Bold, Clearance Stock, none returnable if purchased
- Right next to add to cart button, we state, none returnable if bought, as this is a clearance item.
- It cannot be made any clearer or obvious. We see Tom admits not reading anything about the jacket, including its sizing guide
- All our other 2200 products can be returned for an exchange or refund at any time. Tom chose the one of three products that were not, as he wanted the massive £100 off.
- All our other reviews have been 5/5 for many months. Why is Tom so different??
- Tom tried to blag, we were not for turning. Evidently he likes to get his own way, and is now trying to hurt us for not giving in.
It is always an interesting case study when someone pops up with 0/5 rating when we have had all 5/5 reviews for several months in a row and either side of his purchase. We are a family ran business. We always respond to all reviews, good and bad. We do not tolerate slander and misinformation. Regards Peter

Great product at a very reasonable price, I bought one when visiting the store in Falmouth. Staff were very friendly and loved the first product so buying a second was easy.

Fantastic experience ordering online. Ordered the Retro X fleece and prior to ordering I called the shop and they were super friendly and helpful. The fleece was shipped the same day (I paid for special delivery) even though I ordered circa 3pm and the fleece is perfect! Thank you!
