It was a good experience. And I did like the whole ‘remote host’ thing. However, it was kind of difficult to know when the date was up unless you were staring at your phone, which was the whole reason I decided to try speed dating was so that I wasn’t looking at my phone. I wish the micro dates were a little longer, but I guess that’s why it’s called speed dating. Overall good experience and I had fun. Will try it again

This is such a really creative way to meet new people off of the apps with some pretty unique questions to ask each other.

The hosts have great personalities and are awesome to work with. I felt like everyone I wasn’t romantically interested in, I wanted to be friends with it! I would give a few more a go.

I attended my first Luvvly event last night and genuinely had a blast. It was so refreshing to get off the apps, and have a more organic experience of meeting new people. Everyone I chatted with was very sweet, intentional, and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a low pressure, and new dating experience. The virtual host aspect was really seamless and unique, will definitely be attending another!

Lastly, I was able to chat directly with the Luvvly team ahead of the event and they were attentive, responsive, and willing to help.

The speed dating event was fun, seamless, and I met some good people. Excellent communication, especially from a no-host event. The only thing I’d change is finding a venue with a separate, contained space. Being in a small, crowded bar was a little challenging. But it still worked well enough.

This is a great service for people who are ready to talk and learn something new from a real person in front of you! I feel exhausted on a daily basis using phone, apps, and then, dating apps! Really appreciate Luvvly making this speed dating happen in the Bay Area. It was a great experience for me, and I could tell the people I met on my first speed dates that they also agreed. Fantastic process! Great way to get out of your comfort zone and meet people! Very comfortable settings making you feel relaxed and able to be yourself.

I’ve never struggled to get matches on dating apps, but I love this so much more. Meeting people in person first, rather than judging a profile, puts the emphasis on selecting for mutual chemistry. The result is getting to avoid first dates without chemistry - its so imprecise on apps, selecting for appearance/interests/etc as second-best proxies for chemistry, and I’ve always felt like there’s great people I’m not swiping on because it’s hard to judge by their profile.
Anyways, went to speed dating and had two great matches I’m excited to go on full length dates with. So fun!! Definitely wouldn’t have known to swipe right on them on the apps either.9
