Bought from a supplier in Germany.
Paying was straightforward, they handled transportation, customs, and look forward to using the machine by the end of this week.
All in all, Machine Seekers is an excellent used platform to buy machinery through.

Fantastic response, and attention to detail

I registered on machineseeker.cz thinking I was creating a regular user account. There is no such thing: the only way to register is the "Sell a machine" funnel, which ends with a form (company, e-mail, phone) and a "Continue" button. Nothing at that point looks like placing a paid order. A few days later I had an invoice for a "One-time seller 1" tariff – 79 € per month, three-month minimum term, billed up front.

I have never created or published a single listing. I have nothing to sell. The account has never been used.

When I asked support to cancel, the answer was a copy of their terms: registration is a binding order, they "accepted it" with their own confirmation e-mail, I am a "commercial seller" so no right of withdrawal applies, and – my favourite – their service consists of "the provision of your user account", so whether I ever use it "does not fall within their sphere". In other words, you pay full price for an account that does nothing.

What I find deceptive about the design:

The price is framed per month, but you commit to a multi-month term invoiced at once.
The "service" is defined as the mere existence of an account, so zero value still costs full price.
Signing up takes three fields and one click; cancelling requires written notice, seven days before the end of term, to a postal address in Essen.
Their terms declare every user to be a business, which conveniently removes consumer withdrawal rights.
The footer of every page says all offers and prices are non-binding, while the same terms say your registration is binding.

Their own FAQ says the one-time seller tariffs are meant for non-dealers who occasionally sell a machine – exactly the people least likely to expect B2B subscription terms. Judging by other reviews here, I am not the first one to end up in this situation.

Let's all wait how Digital Fairness Act will help to end these dark ux patterns in unfair companies like this.

Enquries were replied to quickly and machine seekers followed up with myself personally to make sure I had all the information needed.

There is large range of machine types and large number of machines in each type.
However, I have not discovered yet how to effectively filter out machine sizes that I am not interested in. In other words, I have a messy listing and I have to search through dozens of items to find a few of those that I potentially may be interested in.
Also, sending request for more information on a specific machine, seems to be translated into request for price only.
In many cases the information about a machine is very limited, which makes searching and selecting a lengthy task of sending a request for more info, receiving just price, then requesting again technical info...
Overall - it is good to have Machineseeker.

Good web site but followed my enquiry with too many adverts and pop up's.

Machineseeker has been great to search & source options for second hand machinery across the UK and Europe

Some things difficult to search for and does not seem to be that many UK listings

The whole site is very easy to use - the response from sellers is excellent as well
