If I could give a negative star

If I could give a negative star, I would. I had booked a training weekend with MATA a few months ago, which I had to pay for upfront. Moreover I had booked plane tickets and already payed my hotel for my stay near the training clinic. A few days before the training was supposed to happen, I get a haste email saying the training was canceled due to some building works? Very odd. Since then, I have sent several emails and tried contacting them through whatsapp, instagram, Facebook and have called them multiple times WITHOUT even ONE answer on any platform. They have lost all credibility and I believe them to be nothing but a scam company.

Not a good experience AT ALL!!!

Not a good experience AT ALL!!!! Firstly they make you pay upfront for treatment, which, fair enough is not an issue. The issue I had with them is I paid for the treatment and one day before my treatment I get a text and an email NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL that due to some building works my appointment was cancelled. So rang them asking what next do they rebook or refund?! I was told there were no futures dates so they would refund me I have waited 10 days for it to come have given them the benefit of the doubt that some banks take 5-7 days although my bank processes within 48 hours. I have sent over 20 emails, called their office left messages and NOTHING!!!!

Beware people…they will scam you and you won’t get treatment or get your money back!!!!!

Game changing experience with Sarah/Mata

I’m a very nervous,anxious person with little self esteem. I met Sarah around 2 years ago,and she knows me,she knows how to treat me,she’s patient kind and uses humour to keep me going. My confidence is undeniably rocketed and I’m so glad I met her at Mata Glasgow. She will NEVER oversell,she knows exactly what I need,I don’t even make suggestions. The trainees clearly enjoy her sharing her expertise She’s very calm with them and nurturing. I truly look forward to my appointments and I honestly credit her in my success story (work in progress) Thank you Sarah/Mata abd the lovely students. See you soon ☺️

The staff here are so useless the…

The staff here are so useless the product they use are so crap and wear off after a week they are the most unprofessional people Rebecca the lady so cals to be nice is the most horrible thing that's you can come across honestly the things about double personality lol .

They act nice but they are so mean the doctor gets jealous and ruin your face you will end up going home worse than. Before look wise I ah e always tried to compromise with these people but they are so evil.. honestly the most worse aesthetic groups in London .the doctor are rude you can't get what you want is that what they want to inject they will at the end they all have a worrying look and. Get you thinking 🤔.

I think they don't tell us what we are supposed to know if anyone goes here after a first visit you will be automatically be put off

They are so fake and your face will develop acne they will put on a innocent act but please don't fall for it ..they will make things up on your records and will ruin your face my face has not looked the same I look worse than Katie price and the. They will con you to pay more money as they will.ruin your face

GUYS PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND SAFE U WILL KNOW FROM YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME

Great experience

Just finished Aesthetic Medicine Course at MATA and I'm absolutely pleased with the experience! The trainers are fantastic - they are experienced in their field and make sure you get plenty of hands-on practice. Loved how the small group size meant lots of personal attention and chances to perfect techniques. Everything's great, from the location to the course content.

Go to a reputable aesthetics company elsewhere..there are many out there instead of these charlatans

I used this company for years for Botox and lip filler. Recently I booked masseter Botox and when I had the appointment I was told to book in 2 weeks later for a follow up appointment for a top up.

Firstly, I feel the need to mention that every time I have attended the clinic (over the course of 4 years) I have seen many, many trainers come and go. Many of whom have I overheard saying how bad this place is.

A few days before the 2 week timescale for my top up appointment was due, I called to make an appointment. I spoke to someone, who was another new person working at MATA (no suprise considering their staff turnaround) who may I say was very unhelpful and seemed to just make every excuse in the book, quite frankly very rude. She advised that all appointments for the upcoming weekend were fully booked and thereafter they were no longer able to offer me a top up appointment as it was outside of the “14 day Botox regulations timeframe of 14 days.”

Let me just say this is new to me…this place has offered me top up appointments months outside of this time scale previously (at least 3 months after one time last year) but when I called to question this their response was “we haven’t, we’ve checked your record and we can’t find any evidence of this”

I really wish I would have kept some kind of proof! Because this new “14 days Botox regulation rule” seems like an excuse for this company to claw back more money. Clearly their focus is on the many thousand of pounds that trainers invest on the aesthetic courses rather than the models.

You want my advice? Go elsewhere…there are many reputable aesthetic training academies in London that treat their models with the respect they deserve and want to give them the results they have walked in for.

Thanks to this company…I am now left with one cheek much larger than the other which is now worse than before I walked in. I’ve also suffered chronic pain in the side they repeatedly injected (even though I told the trainer to only inject one side) if this pain persists I will be taking it further from a legal standpoint.

And if you ….MATA have the nerve to tell me (like you did in your absurd respond to my complaint email) that I was “being abusive” over the phone to your colleague then your company is a lot more shambolic and unprofessional than I thought. You clearly have no empathy or understanding of the issues that you cause your models or you clearly don’t care. The person I talked with over the phone spoke to me like I was a child, very condescending with no real understanding of the issues they have caused me.

I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years, having booked many times previously and was clearly within the 14 day period of booking in for a top up appointment when I called to rebook.

Maybe best going forward (rather than the trainer at the appointment not telling the model anything) to mention the below to all models who help to keep your business afloat as well as the trainers, so as to avoid disappointment…

“Top up appointments are subject to appointment and not always guaranteed”

“You need to email after having the initial appointment in order to request the top up appointment

We’re sorry that you feel this way and appreciate your feedback; however, our senior management has looked into this matter thoroughly and would like to clarify a few points.

Firstly, Botulinum toxin treatments are designed to wear off completely by approximately the 3-month mark. As part of standard clinical practice, top-up appointments are offered within 14 days following the initial treatment, as this is the timeframe during which adjustments can be made safely and effectively. We do not, and have not, offered top-up appointments 3 months post-treatment, as this would be outside standard guidelines.

Regarding our team, we would also like to proudly share that MATA does not experience frequent staff turnover. Many of our team have been with us for over 10 years, and our current administrative and sales team has been established for nearly 2 years. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and consistent workplace environment which we further share with our valued patients and delegates.

We are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and professionalism to all our models and trainees. However, we also have a responsibility to ensure that our staff are treated respectfully. Following your recent recorded interaction, which involved obscene language directed toward our team, we wish you all the best moving forward and hope you find a training academy that better aligns with your expectations.

Sarah (Sara?)makes you feel so comfortable from the start, the delegates are very professional and kind, your getting the whole experience for a fraction of the price with the extra consultation from a hugely experienced professional, and on my visit today was another professional just getting yet an other qualification, second visit and would 110% recommend, it’s clinical, it’s professional, it achieves great results, but it’s also very welcoming, 3rd floor when you get in the lift ❤️

I had my lip filler with trainer Sarah Gillies, she and the girls are brilliant! They are very professional and made me feel comfortable, I do love my new lips, definitely will come back for other treatments and highly recommend!
