Vicky couldn’t have been more helpful over the phone and when I subsequently went into the shop to exchange my walking boots.I noticed she and the other member of staff were equally friendly and professional to other customers .I’d definitely return to this store.

Swift and easy service
I was served by Silvia in the Newark branch. She quickly checked that the right size shoe was in stock and found a pair for me to try on. Once I was happy they fitted she took them to the till for me to pay. The service was swift and easy.

Great Newark store experience!
Went into Newark store today and was greeted by Heather on the till and Rebecca. My son needed some walking boots for his next Gold DofE event. We knew what we were after and Rebecca was keen to help until she was needed elsewhere and then Heather took the reins. Both very knowledgeable. Checked the fit was correct. Price matched when I could see that I could get them cheaper elsewhere. Great service. Definately would shop again at this store. Brilliant shopping experience

OEX Rucksack
I visited my go to shop ‘Millets’ in Newark today and purchased a rucksack/day sack (£50 off) and a pair of Brasher Socks; both then came with additional 20% off. I was welcomed into the shop and left to browse. Heather came and chatted with me about the rucksacks I was looking at and I felt no pressure. I could not fault the whole shopping experience; Heather and Becky were excellent ambassadors for Millets.

One order and too much hassle
One order. arrived at two different collection points. Had to be returned due to still having a booby trapped security device fitted to the clothing.
The returns service is another nightmare.
The website doesn't provide details of where the "In Post" lockers are located and "In Post" don't provide details either. So now I have further agravation trying to sort out a return and refund which will also leave me out of pocket as the item has increased in price since purchased.
Problem is now resolved. It was a lot easier to remove the ink tag than to navigate Millet's return service. For anyone else who needs to remove an Ink Tag, just look it up on You Tube. takes a couple of minutes.

Really friendly and helpful staff
Visited earlier today and Helen and Vicky were both brilliant. I had a screaming 3 month old with me but they weren't phased at all, instead helped me find exactly what I needed and even spent time chatting to my daughter while I tried bits on. Usually I'd have walked out when she starts crying but they both were so friendly and helpful, it really eased my anxiety while shopping!

Needed a warm coat so called into my local millets. Was served by Becky who was very knowledgeable in what she was selling me. Went away feeling like a very valued customer. Will definitely be back for more walking clothes in the future as everyone seemed really cheerful.

I returned some walking shoes for my…
I returned some walking shoes for my wife this morning after swapping them yesterday for a pair bought on line. The online receipt was given in with the return so I only had the receipt given to me by the shop which didn’t have the last four digits of my credit card. After asking to see my credit card statement to show that I had paid for the item in the first place I was told I could have a credit to spend later. I did not want a credit note but a refund. After all this nonsense the assistant found my purchase on her computer and refunded my card. I was made to feel like a criminal and frankly the girl behind the tillcertainly could do with a lesson in customer relations. There was never a smile or any form of sympathy for the problem that she had made. I am seventy five years old and think she should have more respect for her elders - and a little more understanding.

Excellent advice and service from the Newark Branch
Excellent advice and service from staff. Slight problem on one of the walking boots I purchased. The Manager and staff sorted it out, promptly ordering a replacement pair which arrived at my house very quickly which saved me the journey to the Newark Branch again. Thank you. The replacement boots are absolutely fine and I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend Millets to anyone.
