I purchased a 2.5l tin of bostik black bitumastic paint and was charged £34. I thought no more about it until I needed another 2.5 l. I checked on line and discovered tht B&Q were selling the exact same product for £17,34. On further checking i found the o5hwr diy outlets were similar to B&Q price. Thing that i had mistakenly been charged for 5l i returned to the Antrim store only to be told that the price was correct
I will never use Murdocks again as I find most of their prices to be extorsionate

They have a service where you can apparently query about items. But the never reply. So you end up.goimg somewhere else.

Halden Fisher, for instance, always reply within 24 hours and even allow you to reply, should you have more queries. Murdock's can't even offer a working email address. They need to do better.

Staff are so friendly and helpful from the lads in the yard to the gentleman at the counter. As a Diyer I was only buying a small amount of stuff but treated with respect and staff incredibly helpful. Can't rate Enniskillen depot highly enough. Thank you

Needed some hessian at very short notice and found Kevin at Murdock's very helpful and prepared to go beyond the call of duty to meet our needs.

Nightmare supplier. I'll never use them again.

Called up to get stones, and was told they would be delivered the following week by Craig, and would get a callback later in the week to arrange delivery. No call back. I had to chase and got told that they haven't arrived yet, and to await a callback.

The next day, I get a rude voicemail from a delivery guy that he was waiting outside my house for 10 minutes with the stones. 1. I was told they hadn't arrived yet, and that they would arrive minimum a week from now. 2. Absolutely no coordination with me nor their team, and received a completely unprofessional voicenote for their mistake. 3. Had to chase yet again for the invoice.

I had to call to complain about this; they apologised and said they would re-deliver. I had to call again to get an actual date as to when they would deliver.

The only positive of this entire mess was a different delivery person called Sean who was incredibly professional, helpful and an asset to their company.

Helpful and friendly staff, especially Kyle. Kyle is a very knowledgeable young man, always making sure that you get the right product for the job. He is an absolute joy to deal with and nothing is too much trouble for him. Murdocks, Lisburn are very lucky to have such a valuable member of staff. Well done Kyle.

Got a large delivery recently of what was meant to be 18mm plywood ended up 3/4 of the delivery was 15mm to 17mm all useless for me given first I had paid for the more expensive 18mm and they tried to pull a fast one by sneaking in thinner and therefore cheaper stuff but as a cabinet maker I use knock on edging that can only be used on 18mm. This was the expensive "fancy" Malaysian hardwood ply as well. Not the first time I have been messed around by Murdock's but will be the last as I won't be using again. Prices are not particularly competitive either.
