This is NOT the company who use subscription traps
I heard about subscription traps on Radio 4 this week & panicked as I've bought a car check before. On investigation, it's a company with a very similar name who reportedly use a subscription trap to charge customers. They are called CheckMyCar. THIS company - MyCarCheck - is fantastic. I bought a single credit & got the info I needed to confidently make a car purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more credits to check vehicles in future, and the app is excellent whether you're using the free check or need more detail on a vehicle's history.
It's very sad that their ratings are being impacted just because they have a similar name to a less reputable company.

We are sorry to learn of your recent experience, but this is NOT us – MyCarCheck (CDL Vehicle Information Services Limited) does not offer a monthly subscription for £40.00. MyCarCheck’s charging model is clearly displayed on our website https://www.mycarcheck.com and our terms and conditions also make it clear that we do not offer a subscription which is subject to recurring payments.
We are currently experiencing several similar reviews intended for another company being left on our Trustpilot account and have raised the severity of the situation with Trustpilot and are working with them to get these false reviews removed. This is a serious matter as MyCarCheck is being falsely reviewed in this way. The reviews are incorrect, defamatory, and harming our business.
We can only assume that you have left your review on the incorrect Trustpilot account and would respectfully ask that you remove your review from our account with immediate effect. To ensure you leave your review on the correct business, your bank statement will have details of the company you have made payment to. This is not CDL Vehicle Information Services.

No phone support, no report!!
Purchased a report and paid £10.00, never got the report, they have no phone number to ask about the issues. You fill in a form that ask for the check ID? Well I didn’t get the report so how can I give a check ID. I’ve chased twice now and still no reply. Awful service, avoid.

Quality product

I can see that there have been some reviews left here that are clearly about similarly-named competitors - I can assure you that these guys don't have hidden fees or any underhand scams going on! Start with the free check for basic data, and then if you're serious about a car, upgrade to the paid version to make sure it's not a banger!
