Turnout was typical, 14 participants, 3 women actually showed, 6 guys. All 3 were great people, and were worth the investment. Of the men, around half were directly personable, and seemed like good guys to date. The other half, frankly, I didnt have the chance to meet, due to the rotation, so I can't properly comment on them.
A little disorganized on startup, but once the event actually started, everything flowed well. Go with the flow... I thought it was worth it.

Frustrating experience.
I booked an event on Mar 18. 2026 for a Mar 21, 2026 in Vancouver. The event was cancelled one day before, and I was told that events would be rescheduled, and nothing happened for next several weeks. It took some emails over a couple of months to get my money refunded. At first I was directed to eventbrite to get my refund, eventbrite denied my request. After that i reached out to the company again and they helped get my refund on Jun 22/26. Overall, they should manage their events better, and if they cancel events, they should be doing the work to make sure people get their refunds vs people running after eventbrite or whatever to get their refunds.

I've had two events cancelled the day before
I've had two events cancelled, got notified the day before. Life happens and sometimes it can be hard to recruit people, but... I also assume a company to make it happen! I've only had this experience with this company, I will not sign up again

All of the men were engaging in conversation and easy to talk to. The only downside was they overbooked the girls and so we had to sit alone for a few rounds and double up at tables which made getting to know someone a little more uncomfortable when you were right next to someone else.

Don't trust the 4 Stars! NATIONWIDE SCAMMERS
Seeing their TR average rating is enough to make me wary of this website! The canceled an event I paid for, then I rescheduled, then they rescheduled again, and then again! I decided to cancel when they booked an outdoor event in 24F weather! They dont allow refunds and they reschedule rather than cancel to avoid having Eventbrite making them refund customers! There are COUNTLESS reddit posts about this in various cities in the US AND Canada. So it is an actual SCAM they are running. Once I showed up to an event with no host at all! Took 50 mins to arrive to. Maybe 4 others joined and staff was clueless. I emailed them and they (Sara) were unhelpful and said I could file a claim with my credit card company. Absolute THIEVES! Karma will certainly pay these fraudsters back.

Thank you for your feedback. We were genuinely sorry to read it, particularly as we can see you attended our New York event on July 3, 2024 and our Chicago event on July 23, 2024, where you made five mutual matches.
We also note that you decided to cancel your later booking, and we were happy to accommodate your request, just as we do for all of our guests. We understand that life can get in the way, which is why our Cheeky Guarantee allows guests to reschedule their own events regardless of notice. Likewise, if we ever need to reschedule an event, guests are always welcome to attend another event or receive a full refund.
We'd also like to clarify one point. For nearly 19 years, the comfort and safety of our guests has been our priority. The event in question was scheduled to take place indoors, and we simply would not hold one of our events outdoors in 24°F (-4°C) weather.

Best events in Denver
I have used MyCheekyDate off and on for the last couple of years and I want to say that they offer the best speed dating events in Denver. I've tried other companies and they just aren't as organized and the venues aren't in great locations. Even if I don't meet anyone I always leave having had a good time and enjoyed interacting with some really nice people.

Raleigh location - overall decent time, little disorganized
I went to an event in Raleigh and it was only my second time speed dating and first with MyCheekyDate. Here’s what I liked: the location of the event was cool, I like the scoring method to help make my final decisions for the night, and I did meet some interesting people. I’m docking one star though because I was led to believe by the website that I would be greeted at the door/check in and that was not the case. I ended up having to ask a waiter/bartender where to go since there were no signs and it wasn’t clear. When I got to the room, it was a lot of singles sitting around and we all seemed to be unsure if we were in the right place. Once a couple of us confirmed with each other there was some mingling happening but it wasn’t clear to us if that was all we were supposed to do or where the host was. Eventually the host did show up and went around a checked everyone in and we eventually got started. Looking back at it now, the Kentucky Derby was playing in the main area of the bar (as opposed to the side room where the event was being held) and I think he was out there for a bit watching that. So eventually it all worked out, but definitely felt a little disorganized at first. Guy to Girl ratio also seemed to be okay, there were a couple more guys than girls so the guys had a rotation where they had a little break as opposed to the girls who didn’t really get one. Loved the waiter working the room though! He made sure us girlies got our refills since we didn’t have the same opportunity to have a mini-break.

I have been to a few of the events and I do think it is a good way to meet people I normally wouldn’t in my city. It has been a pleasant experience so far and I enjoy going to the events. This has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and be more comfortable with talking to new people more often.

Showed up—no event, no host, no notice
I attended a speed dating event at Civic Taproom on April 25 at the listed time, but there was no host, no participants, and no event taking place. The venue had no awareness of any event happening.
The listing still showed the event as active, and there was no clear or timely notice that it had been postponed. I only found out after reaching out myself.
When I contacted the organizer, I was directed to Eventbrite to request a refund rather than having the issue resolved directly.
This was frustrating and embarrassing after making the effort to attend. I would be cautious booking with this company.

Our records show that a notification was sent in advance confirming that this particular event would be removed from the schedule.
