I took out a loan in 2019 and repaid it…
I took out a loan in 2019 and repaid it in full in 2022. I asked for my credit history to be updated as it was still showing as owed in 2023. Finally in 2024 they removed it from my credit file.
Yesterday I had a letter from Lantern debt recovery company who were acting on behalf of or bought the debt (I don't know which) off my community bank, asking for the full amount to be paid! I called them and they asked for proof that I had paid the debt off. I have sent them my receipt email which shows the full amount paid in 2022.
Embarrassing for a company of this size to make so many errors. I certainly do not advise anyone to take any loans or use their services.

Direct debit does not work
I have set up the direct debit to make the payments, every month I have to make payments over the phone as the direct debit does not work, every time I speak to adviser they assure me that the problem is solved....it never is......It is very frustrating as I have super busy schedule and I don't want to be in a situation when I forget to check if the money came out and face charges, issues with credit score etc.....as ofcourse it will be blamed on me.
