I rented a flat from this company for 17 years, never missed a payment, I had to move out because of landlords change in circumstances, so I left September last year, now I have been asking for my bond money back, they keep finding excuses, I have tried to reach out to them, I don’t recommend this company for renting, I am very disappointed

Communication was extremely poor and updates not forthcoming
Ended up chasing solicitors ourselves

We had our home up for sale for over 16 weeks with what I can only describe as a total waste of time estate agent. They have no idea of customer needs they think they can sit on their arses waiting for an enquiry. It is 16 weeks wasted with wasters and to top it all we have not even been contacted about leaving their services and just removed from right move.
What an absolutely poor company

I didn’t even want to give them 1 star but had to choose something, these estate agents love lying and you get a different story each person you speak to. Since giving them notice back in December they have decided since then to leave their sign on the drive. I have been calling them multiple times to collect and they have even lied about this! They cannot seem to organise themselves! Customer service is awful.

I rented a property from newton fellowell in kegworth. I moved out on the 6th of December 2022 its now the 15th feb 2023 and still have not recieved any part of my deposit back. No explanation from the agency. I have contacted them numerous times to which they keep making excuses. It is coming up to three months now. The property was let out pretty much straight after we left (within a week). When we gave our notice of a month we were CONSTANTLY bombarded to allow viewings, I understand this is in the contract which was fine, however my mother was in hospital at the time and I had a dog at home which is a nervous dog. This was never taken into consideration either. Plus many repairs reported through the time of living at the address and these were never addressed. I've heard the new tenant is having exactly the same problems regarding repairs. If they are receiving money or agreeing a let they are brilliant, however not so much on carrying out maintenance or returning deposits

All the 5* reviews are from people who sold their properties for overpriced figures, course they're going to be happy. - If you're a renter this applies to you.

If I could give a lower rating I would.

I was renting a property since Nov 2019, I had complained about one window in the master bedroom since the viewing that there was a high volume of noise coming through and wind, as the panel was broken and wouldn't shut properly, this came under a concern to environmental health, you could smell the traffic and even hear customers order their pizza from dominoes across the road. I was informed this would be fixed on the day of viewing verbally by a man called Jordan.

3 years on, taking my money, hundreds of e-mails later, nothing was done and that room had to be abandoned, so in other words I rented a 1 bedroom for the price of 2. I was led on by false hopes, saying "windows are ready we are sending someone" and nobody ever turned up. It was all a lie.

The shower didn't work for 3 years either, the water pressure was not right and nobody ever looked into it for me, cold showers for 3 years?

Just before Christmas this year going into 2023 a day after paying that months rent I received an unexpected notice to leave within 2 months, no answer to any reason why.

They didn't pay the remaining deposit and added unauthorised charges onto the account claiming for "damages in the house" which certainly is not comparable to the poor windows.

The most hilarious thing is, I drive past the house and the windows were installed 1 month after I left. Why was this not sorted for 3 years?

The landlord turned up to the property demanding rent for the last month (which I let them take £525 out of the £605 deposit anyway) he snatched my mothers phone out her hand and demanded my telephone number and kept calling me from withheld and harassing me and my family while they were trying to help me move my stuff. - I was harassed by constant quarterly visits that were targeted just to me, this was evident as I knew another tenant renting from these people. - landlord refused to put his issues in writing knowing that I could take that to the tribunal.

Do not rent from these people no matter how desperate you are, you will get ripped off and ignored as long as they take your money.

Now sit back and read the snide and unprofessional response I get followed by many others in the past.

My experience as a buyer was amazing with Newton and Fallowell. I was regularly emailing estate agents as we were looking for a particular build, in a particular area and budget. I emailed Newton and Fallowell and a response from Kayrn advising me of a new instruction due to the market - it was everything we were looking for! We were able to view the house before it went into the market and our offer was accepted! Kayrn's communication throughout the whole process was amazing and guided us through the process. Thanks to Kayrn we got our dream home after months of searching! X

As a landlord I used the Lichfield office of Newton Fallowell as managing agents for a property I was letting for a couple of years. Very disappointed with the service I received compared to other agents I have used. The only thing they got consistently right was taking their fee every month, the rest of their responsibilities were very hit and miss or not carried out and often required me to chase them up to get things done. I did complain to them via their internal complaints process over several issues and they concluded they had done nothing wrong. I eventually made a complaint to the Property Ombudsman who found in my favour. If you are a landlord looking for a letting agent then I would look elsewhere.

Did a visit, never gave me a valuation. no follow up - dire communication - exactly what you would expect from a poor estate agency

Introduced our own buyer tonNF so they acted on our behalf at a greatly reduced fee. Initial appraisal with Zak was professional and informative. We were kept informed by office staff every step of the way. In fact, they gave us more info than our solicitor and chased buyers for us! Spoke with 3 different staff at the LFE office, all friendly, professional and very helpful. Would recommend to all want a good, honest, proactive estate agent.

Abbie and Kieran at the Lincoln Office kept me in touch at all times with all the twists and turns of the selling process. They were always very helpful and kind and I found their advice really helpful. I have not sold many houses and the support of a good estate agent is invaluable. I would use them again without hesitation. My buyers were also very impressed with Abbie.

What a mistake that was. Took 6 months to complete
When uk average is 3 months.
No communication only replies to emails sent or messages left,no contact off there own back.

Newark branch is rubbish! ! They promise the world and deliver nothing. Use somebody else! Anyone is better than them!

Dreadful! Made multiple phone calls, emailed them several times and tried to contact them via the Rightmove app. Was informed I would be called and/or contacted back, only to never hear from them again. Do yourselves a favour and avoid the Lincoln branch. No such issues with any other agency I have used in Lincoln.

Swadlincote branch are really bad. They never call you back and have to constantly keep chasing them. Sally Whetton is the worst customer service rep I have ever come across, broken promises, tells lies and is untrustworthy.
They advised me on a couple of things to do and I lost money on there recommendation! Terrible branch and would never recommend to anybody. Please avoid and take your business elsewhere. I would not even give these 1 star if I could as they are not even worth that.

Newton Fallowell in Newark is definitely the best estae agent that we have dealt with. From the owners Neil and Jude, the girls on the end of the phone wjo were always helpful and chatty, and Rick who assiduously chased up solicitors, not the easiest job, the whole team were professional and committed to ensuring our sale went as smoothly as possible. We can't thank you enough.
