I would strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase from Nom Plates to read the reviews here carefully before proceeding. In my experience, the number of negative reviews appears to outweigh the positive, and I regret not researching this more thoroughly beforehand.

I ordered a pair of “Premium HD” plates, which arrived within a few days—so delivery was reasonably prompt. Unfortunately, this was where the positive aspects ended. The quality of the product fell well below expectations and did not reflect a “premium” standard.
The plates themselves were extremely thin and flimsy (only 2mm). There was visible dust trapped between the print and the acrylic, resulting in noticeable imperfections. Additionally, the border - an extra £10 option - had been poorly touched up with a marker pen, and the finishing of the edges was substandard.

I contacted Nom Plates via email, providing photos and outlining my concerns while requesting a refund. After receiving no response, I followed up with a second email and later attempted to make contact via WhatsApp, but again received no reply. Given the lack of communication, it appears my request has been ignored. As a result, I have initiated a chargeback through my bank.

I would strongly advise potential customers not to rely solely on the glossy promotional images shown on the company’s website, as they do not accurately reflect the product I received. Think of the pictures you see of burgers in McDonald's compared to what you actually get!

While it is possible that some customers may have a better experience, based on the volume of negative feedback, I'd very much doubt it.

USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHO WHEN THEY DID REPLY TO THEIR WHATSAPP COMPLETELY GLOSSED OVER THE MISSING ITEMS.

THEY ASKED FOR PHOTOS OF PLATES, I SENT 15+ PHOTOS

THEY OFFERED A PARTIAL REFUND, WITHOUT STATING AN AMOUNT.

I SAID I WANTED A SET OF PLATES WITHOUT ANY FAULTS AND THE FITTING KIT.

NO REPLY FOR 48 HRS.

£55 WASTED.

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THESE COWBOYS.

Don't bother using them , what a waste of time.

I purchased a set of standard number plates from Nom, they arrived quickly which was great. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end, within 2 days a hairline crack appeared on both plates. A week later the front plate has two deep cracks across the face, the rear has five deep cracks all going in different directions. Unless you like poor quality cracked plates I wouldn’t recommend them, now I have to purchase some more from a more reputable company

Absolute waste of money, plates arrived on Thursday after ordering on a Saturday, after peeling back the protective film some days later when ready to attach to the car it was a shock to see the plates were so badly marked with acrylic bubbles and some black marks on both front and back plates non of which can be removed and will certainly will not be used on my car straight in the bin!! obviously I have emailed Nomplates twice and guess what, no reply.

Purchased front and rear plates from NOMplates, picked a carbon raised finish, with printed border and gel union jack badge and UK logo, cost was cira £50

Thoroughly disappointed, for a number of reasons:

1. They used amazon shipping service, that notified me of "item from seller" shipped, in transit, then missed/unable to deliver. At no point was there any reference to what Amazon were delivering nor from what company. This caused me to waste a bunch of time communicating with Amazon Help.

2. When the plates did turn up, they were packaged reasonably well, but inside the packing they were placed face to face and then wrapped in black plastic - no problem i thought, they'll be some protective film on them, as per their video showing how to remove it - i can't work out if there is any or not.

3. The edges are rough and very poorly finished

4. The backing material is overhanging on 2 sides, and then short on the other 2

5, The Gel union jack and UK logos were in fact one big piece spanning the full height of the plate, making it almost impossible to screw fit them (which i require to do)

6. The gel section seems to have areas of air bubbles in what i thought was the protective coating, but on closer inspection i'm sure isn't fitted, so it must be in the adhesive holding the gel section to the plate - all in all poor quality and looks crap.

7. Contacted customer support to ask about any protective coating- totally ignored, other than the fact they sent me a link to review the plates - i did.... they removed the review (LOL)

8. The supplied (at an extra cost) fixing kit, had yellow caps that were more orange compared to the yellow of the rear plate, not even a close match.

In short an absolute waste of money, don't touch this company with a barge pole

I bought a pair of 4D plates they cracked on their own a few days later.
When I complained their reply was you can't put those plates on a Mercedes.
Before you take peoples money you should tell them if they can't be used on specific cars!

I will say that if I read reviews first I would have bought elsewhere, but my experiece was first class!
I ordered the mini plate in a custom shape, it looks amazing on the bike.
Order was filled very quickly, and it was shipped by fully trackable 24 hour service. I would use Nomplates again. I can only report my own experience. Thank you Nom Plates.

Received my plate it is terrible quality and backing of the plate was chipped and ripped I messaged them and no response wouldn’t not recommend buying from here

just ordered my motor bike plate from nomplates it was a pricey but it came on time and it was brilliant...very solid and classy... defo buy again from nomplates......5 star....mr hart..

Absolutrly awful, first plate came cracked admittedly could have been damaged in transit but adhesive pads paid for but missing. Replacement sent plus pads, no pads received a replacement was incorrect design. Requested refund and refused, further replacement sent and correct but still no pads. Absolute joke don’t bother!

Ordered plates and they arrived with the letters not straight and the plastic damaged. When I complained, I was told that the plates would get scratched in a car wash and I was being 'fussy'. The owner went so far to blame me damaging the plate myself even though I sent him pictures! Be wary about using this business they will use every excuse to avoid refunding you including blaming the customer which is clear from all the responses from the reviews. How can all customers be wrong except them?

Generally can't be bothered to write reviews but this shop really scunnered me with their lack of simple understanding to issues they caused and felt I need to warn folk not to buy from them. so they don't get **** over by these 🤡

Excellent service from start to finish. Delivered within 2 days of ordering. Excellent quality. What more could you ask for. Thank you for the plates and great service.

Shocking customer service. Yup, wish I had read the reviews. Luckily fo rme they messed me around a week so I had a chance ot cancel the order. Shame they dont learn from these negative reviews!!

I ordered a set of custom 4D number plates from Nomplates, and they arrived after a week and a half. After installing them, just two days later the letters and numbers started falling off the backing plate. I found most of them scattered around the car park.

Because of this, I had to drive home without number plates for about half an hour, risking being stopped and fined by the police. I contacted Nomplates and told them I wanted a refund because I wasn’t willing to pay for number plates that start falling apart after just two days due to poor quality.

Unfortunately, they refused to give me a refund and only offered to send replacements. I do not recommend this company and I regret buying from them.

Ordered some for my motorcycle.. they look awesome fully customisable been on the bike for 1month.. no defects letters still there

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Nom Plates was so poor that I feel obligated to warn others. From start to finish, it was a huge disappointment.

Customer service was completely unresponsive and unhelpful. I tried multiple times to reach out regarding the issues with my order, but received no meaningful response—let alone an apology or offer to resolve the situation.

As for the product quality, it was shockingly bad. The plates arrived with air bubbles, scratches, an uneven and improper finish, and even permanent marker stains—which is completely unacceptable for a product that’s supposed to be professionally made.

To make matters worse, there is no refund policy, and the company takes no responsibility for their poor workmanship. I felt completely let down and cheated.

Avoid this company at all costs. You’re better off going elsewhere if you want a quality product and decent customer service.

I recently ordered registration plates from this company, and I'm utterly disgusted with both the product quality and the customer service. The plates arrived and were clearly made to an appallingly poor standard, with visible defects and shoddy craftsmanship.
When I contacted them to request a refund, I was met with outright refusal and, unbelievably, accused of damaging the plates myself! This is a completely false and insulting accusation. The owner of this company is an absolute jerk who clearly has no regard for customer satisfaction or even basic decency.
Save yourself the headache and the money. Do NOT buy anything from this business if you expect quality products or respectful treatment.

Great Service, Made to measure plates, cant fault anything.
Just seen the bad reviews...I can only say my plates are boss, and I love them.
