From first contact I knew this would be the clinic for me. They kept in contact the whole way, kept me informed. I felt so at ease even on the day of surgery. The care I received in the clinic was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so lovely and helpful. Surgery went so well and I had zero pain, clinic was so clean. Any surgery I've had at home resulted in an infection, I was so surprised and happy to get no infection during this surgery. I would highly recommend anyone on the fence about making the decision just do it. Its the best decision I've ever made and if I needed future surgery I would most definitely return to the Nord Clinic without hesitation.

I recently travelled from Ireland to Kaunas, Lithuania, for inguinal hernia surgery with Nordbariatric, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team for the outstanding care and service I received.

A special thank you to Julija for organising all of my appointments and ensuring that the entire process ran smoothly from start to finish. She provided clear information at every stage, was always available to answer questions, and was beyond helpful throughout my journey.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my surgeon, Dr. Albertas Dauksa. He is a highly skilled surgeon who was extremely professional, kind, and caring. From my first consultation through to my surgery and follow-up care, he demonstrated genuine compassion and concern for my wellbeing. It is clear that he truly cares about his patients, which gave me great confidence and reassurance throughout the experience.

I stayed one night in hospital following my surgery and received excellent care. The nurse who looked after me was exceptionally caring, attentive, and professional. Her support and kindness made a significant difference to my recovery, and I am very grateful for her assistance.

I would also like to thank the administrative team, who were welcoming, patient, and highly efficient. They assisted with all paperwork and transportation arrangements, making the entire experience stress-free. Their professionalism and dedication are a real credit to the clinic.

A big thank you as well to the transportation team and drivers for their punctuality, reliability, and helpfulness. Every pickup and drop-off was on time, and their friendly service was greatly appreciated.

In my opinion, Nordbariatric is a world-class clinic. The quality of care, professionalism, organization , and patient-focused approach exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Nordbariatric to anyone considering hernia surgery or other treatments. My experience was excellent from beginning to end.

Abdominal surgery can be scary. I had a lot of anxiety around the procedure, especially as I was travelling abroad for treatment, but Nordbariatric gave me a surgical journey that not only alleviated so much of that anxiety, but also made me feel safe, informed, respected, and genuinely cared for at every stage.

The customer service team were outstanding throughout the whole pre-operative process, including handling the paperwork, S2 funding, and all the many details involved in planning surgery abroad. Julija was my named representative and she was absolutely stellar. She was kind, attentive, extremely patient, and honestly just a joy to communicate with. Planning surgery in another country can feel overwhelming, but Julija was such a stable and steady presence. She made sure I always knew what was going to happen next and was always there to help alleviate any anxieties I had.

The patient transport team through Nordclinic Logistics were also fantastic. They were professional, polite, friendly, conversational, and drove smoothly and safely. They made travelling to and from the clinic an absolute breeze. For someone travelling from abroad, this service alone is a wonderful example of how much Nordbariatric cares about the whole patient experience - not just the surgery itself.

The reception team were attentive, welcoming, and clear in explaining everything. I always felt informed and in-the-loop.

The nursing team were wonderful. From the nurse who handled my pre-op tests, including bloods, to the nurses who helped me prepare for surgery, and the kind nurse who looked after me overnight afterwards, I felt immensely cared for. They were calm, attentive, and always seemed to be one step ahead of what I might need next, whether that was food, pain management, reassurance, or practical help.

The anaesthetist was fantastic. She reassured me, helped me prepare for the anaesthetic, and was such a kind and calming presence as I went under. I deeply appreciate the work she did throughout the surgery.

I also want to thank the wider surgical team. I do not know all of their names, but they created such a calm and reassuring atmosphere in the operating theatre. I had not had surgery since I was a child, and every single person in that room contributed to a real sense of safety and trust.

Most importantly, I want to give special thanks to my surgeon, Dr Albertas Daukša. He was absolutely excellent. Before the operation, he explained the whole procedure clearly and made sure I understood what would happen. His post-operative care was equally impressive - clear, reassuring, and highly informative. The medical notes provided were also excellent, giving a very detailed technical insight into the procedure, which is extremely useful for my medical records and also helped me understand exactly what had been done.

The post-op check-up, where Dr Daukša examined me and performed an ultrasound, was incredibly efficient and reassuring. I left that appointment feeling safe, informed, and confident that everything was healing as it should.

All in all, my experience with Nordbariatric was exceptional. In Lithuania, there is a real sense that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing properly - and that is exactly what Nordbariatric exemplified for me. Every part of the process felt thoughtful, professional, and deeply human. I am incredibly grateful to the whole team.

I recently had my gallbladder removed at Nordbariatric and I cannot praise them highly enough. From the very first contact, the communication was outstanding. Every question was answered promptly and clearly, which immediately gave me confidence in the clinic and the process.

Once I accepted their estimate, all of the arrangements were handled flawlessly. From being collected at the airport to being transported backwards and forwards to the clinic by caring and professional staff, everything was seamless and extremely well organised.

On the day of my surgery, the staff completely put me at ease. Everyone I encountered was kind, reassuring and highly professional. I was looked after overnight in an amazing facility and kept fully informed at all times regarding my procedure, discharge arrangements and aftercare. The level of care and attention I received was exceptional.

Considering the unbelievable waiting lists we are currently facing back in the UK, this is a very reasonably priced service and one that people should seriously consider. It is also worth noting that you may be able to apply to the NHS using an S2 form for a contribution towards certain procedures carried out by the clinic.

Once again, a huge thank you to all of the staff at Nordbariatric for making what could have been a stressful experience feel completely seamless.

From my very 1st enquiry e-mail about Gastric bypass surgery until weeks after surgery my representative Julija has been nothing short of amazing. Any questions I ever had, no matter big or small she was always there to answer and put me at ease. The team at Nords have been brilliant. From start to finish everything was organised and went like clockwork the staff are all amazing they really look after you, everyone just makes you feel at ease at all times. From been collected at the Airport to been collected for all appointments, I never had to worry. Meeting with Mr Maleckas my Surgeon really reassured me also. He explained everything so clearly and I knew I was in excellent hands. On the day of surgery I fealt so at ease and knew I had made the right decision. The nurses were all so kind and supportive before and after my surgery. Mr Maleckas visits the day after surgery which was lovely, I wanted to thank him for everything and I also had the dietitian, and physiotherapist call. I am now 3 weeks post op from my bariatric surgery and I feel brilliant and have lost 23lbs already. This has been a life changing decision for me and I have no regrets. I can highly recommend Nords Clinic. If you’re thinking about it, just go for it. You will not regret it.

a great service all the way through ran seamlessly

Wanted to share my experience with you,
I was diagnosed was gallbladder stones over a year ago and have had repeated acute pain attacks and literally every symptom associated with the condition. After seeing the consultant last November he advised me that there was a 2 year waiting list for the removal operation in Wales and recommended going back and forth A&E. I started to look at potentially going private, however local costs in uk were varying between £8k to £10k. My husband came across a private hospital Nords in Lithuania with the cost about £2k. What I didn’t know is that I could apply for S2 funding with the NHS which we were granted and only had to pay 1000 euros towards the operation.
From start to finish the whole experience was exceptional and the best decision I could have made. The services provided by nords were just exceptional and I cannot highly recommend enough. From start of the process to the return to the uk from the communication, logistics, facilities, operation, everything was just perfect and a five star experience !!!. I cannot thank the whole team enough and so grateful to everyone that made is such a positive experience. Cannot recommend enough!!!!

I went to Nord for a gastric bypass from Ireland. I went alone. It was such a great experience, the staff are extremely helpful, the doctors and nurses very professional and competent. You are transported to and from all your appointments by their logistics department. And you can claim back through the HSE cross border directive. Im so happy I chose them.

The professionalism from start to finish of my visit.

I returned from Lithuania 1week after having bariatric bypass on 13th March. From my initial contact with Nordbariatric Clinic, who I had found on Google back in January to my discharge from clinic on 15th March I can honestly say that it was an amazing experience. I had made a very informed and conscious decision at the age of 66 years to take back control of my health, and one way to start was to deal with my weight issue. I am so delighted I did. Everyone I dealt with from Julija, receptionists on arrival, drivers especially gentleman who picked us up from airport who was so helpful to us and helped us to manoeuvre the tricky steps on icy footpath at our accomodation, and driver Gerald who was very helpful and pleasant. I say a special thanks to surgeon Almanthas Maleckas, who took great time to talk to me about my surgery explaining everything in detail. He was very open to any concerns and questions I had and totally put me at ease. After surgery I felt really well and gave continued to do so since then. I cannot praise this gentleman enough.
I would like to add that my dealings with Julija from start of my journey todate has been wonderful. She has been amazing to deal with, prompt replies to emails, nothing was too much trouble and in my estimation goes the extra mile with all of the helpful information she supplies to clients. Most certainly worth more than her weight in gold and a valuable asset to Nordbariatric Clinic. Just amazing.

I recently had hernia repair surgery at Nord Clinic and I am absolutely delighted with the results.
I have been so impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the high standards that exist at Nord Clinic.
From the very first email I’ve been impressed with the professionalism each query was dealt with, in particular from Julija who has been simply an amazing administrator and coordinator of my stay end to end.
Dr Daukša is somone I can only describe as an expert in his field and I’m so grateful to him for having removed a tumour he discovered within one of the hernia sacs, the speed of my recovery I attribute to his experienced approach to the operation.
Post surgery I arranged to stay for a week in one of medical self catering apartments with daily nursing visits. I found my mind was put at rest each day having someone I could ask questions of at the daily check in.
The whole experience has been incredibly positive from the transport to administration, from the nursing care to the medical team, all of them have been exemplary.
My recommendation is this is a team that you can trust and that will treat you with respect, a team that take great pride in the high standards rhey achieve and maintain.

I came to Nords for gastric bypass. From day one speaking to Julia and arranging i would 100% recommend them. I arrived alone from the minute I arrived into the airport I was greeted by Nords driver which out me a ease straight away. All the staff at Nords are amazing and friendly nothing was to much trouble. Then to the surgery day off course you would be nervous but straight away the staff make you feel more comfortable. When surgery was over you are well looked after I was up walking around couple hours after it. Clinic is so clean and staff are so good helping in anyway they can. As for the surgeon Almantas Maleckas what amazing work he does. I am home 2 weeks and feel great. I have had no problems so far. Anyone that thinks off going there I do recommend highly.

Travelled here for gallbladder removal surgery due to long waiting times on the NHS and being absolutely desperate for the pain to be over. Everything from the first communication to the post-op was first class. Julija was so helpful in helping me arrange everything before travelling. The logistics team who arranged all the transport in Lithuania were faultless. The anesthetist and my surgeon were professional and did an amazing job. The nurses were incredibly attentive and caring during the overnight stay. Such a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Had my gall bladder removed, excellent communication from start to finish, very accommodating and on the ball with documents and evidence needed to support my funding from the NHS. Great logistics for transport, polite and on time every single time. On the day of surgery everything went so smoothly, nurses, surgeons, anaesthetists all very friendly and excellent communication. Did not need to remind staff about needing medication for pain relief or food to eat, it was received automatically. Clean environment with comfy facilities. Couldn’t have had a better surgeon/team whilst being in Lithuania, would highly recommend coming here for any other surgery.

ive just had gallbladder removal by keyhole surgery the service you receive from nord clinic is simply outstanding from the moment you land in Lithuania a driver meets you and takes you to the clinic to do pre op tests and then they transport you to your accomodation , on operation day you are welcomed into clinic and i stayed in my own room for 1 night you meet you surgeon who talks you through what will happen ,the service you receive is perfect a great team of nurses and doctors who are so nice if you are concerned about going to lithuania i can asure you you wont regret it people from all round the world are using this clinic now i know why good prices and i would be back here in the future if i was in pain and couldnt wait any longer for national health in uk i believe the nord clinic is has good has it gets and by the way kaunas is a pretty city thank you nord clinic

The clinic and their staff managed to guide me through the entire process for my particular surgery, starting with Julija who helped organise all the required paperwork in advance + explained clearly everything about their process. On arrival, the Nord clinic itself is spotless and state of the art, exuding exactly the calm atmosphere required to put any nervous patient at ease (NHS eat your heart out). All staff were 100% attentive, communicative and friendly, with no language barriers - and the drivers were efficient with transportation always available and on time. At this stage, I can say my particular procedure went as expected with no complications. The only downside - which is out of their control of course - was the travel (from UK) which is somewhat tedious (entry border control is slow, expect forms, questions and delay). Thoroughly recommended!

From first enquiry to current time (2 weeks post-op Gastric Bypass) Nordbariatic have been fantastic. The staff are fantastic and speak brilliant English, the clinic was spotless, transport to and from the clinic for appointments etc were all taken care of. From the transport to/from airport and clinic appointments, to the completing admin forms, getting bloods done, and checking in for surgery, everything ran like clockwork
The professor, the nurses took such good care of me, were always on top of meds, and dont let you leave until theyre happy you are able to eat/drink without issues
Would 100% recommend this clinic, and would happily return for any other surgery in future
