Waste of money

I am a small (1 person) business. Bought 3/14/25. Had trouble setting up. You really need an IT person. On Sunday I had trouble logging in but was unable to to get support on the phone. Finally spoke to human being on the phone today. He said I can't get a refund after 7 days. Against policy. (They push you buying a year subscription instead of a monthly one because it "saves money"). Waste of money.

Scam from the start - email to phonecall

I got a email from them saying that I'm going to be charged £499.99 for the annual subscription which I do not recall apply for so I call the customer service line 02045916663 , true SCAM great story , I never been racist and have a lot of patience for the Indian Tele workers and usually they are very helpful but this guy Johnathan obviously not his real name thought it would be great to argue with me and call me every name under the sun after I refused to download an app which had 2.3 reviews on playstore and this app allows him to see my phone screen as this is how he ment to cancel the subscription. Here is where I realised it's a SCAM. He started calling me a motherf*cker and telling me I deserve it , I deserve it repeating it like a child and calling me name after name and saying I live in the UK why do I live there I must be so poor , which is true but not the point just plain rude. I never met a man so rude calling me stupid as I can't download an app and I have a poor person phone because I cannot record the call (pixel 9 pro) doesn't allow it for privacy reasons wish I did as I would of loved the police hear his harassment, asked for manager and he says he is and I realise this is a load of bs and I should hang up but kept trying to record his relentless name calling in the end he hung up as I stopped arguing and he wasn't getting the satisfaction of shouting at a lady.

I am sorry but I have lost all respect for the customer service industry.

Google the customer service of Microsoft 365 and called their number and tried to cancel through them but they don't even have an account with my number so that explained everything always go to the source. Microsoft need to crack down on their security because these people are giving a very bad image for the company.

Microsoft is absolute rubbish now with this 365 crap,
2016 home student office was way better.
Extremely disappointed, all the added extras are a complete waste of time BRING BACK THE OLD MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL AND POWERPOINT.....
The new one doesn't even have the read aloud feature, going backwards Microsoft!!

BIG SCAM you need to by Office basic, Microsoft 365 and OneDrive just to run it all, money hungry....

Typical MS - everything gets worse

I have been using MS applications since before the bundling into Office. In recent years, the SW continues to get worse. Typical of a monopoly - no incentive to serve the customer. The fact they went to s subscription service just adds insult to injury.

A customer for 15+ years: scammed and vandalized.

I am so shocked and disappointed by the negligence of Microsoft with this software. It's so palpable, that it seems malicious, as I simply couldn't imagine so much unintentional incompetence from a company.

Firstly: Office365. A software package that was incredible 10 years ago, and virtually never improved. Almost all changes made after 2007 just worsened the software. But the straw that broke the camels back was when MS attempted to scam me. (It's nothing less than a scam) where the price of my package was increased by 50% out of nowhere. I was notified that this would happen by email... 6 hours before it was actioned... at midnight. So I was asleep during this whole thing.
After contacting customer support, I found out that they "upgraded"(Downgraded) my package to include co-pilot and their AI slop. This was a complete betrayal of trust, and even though I got the charge reversed, I immediately cancelled my subscription.

Secondly: One Drive. This software is a Virus. There is no other way to put it. It vandalizes my files, changes things on my computer without permission and swamps my entire explorer interface with stupid symbols over every file. I never asked for it to try and back up my whole computer, and I suspect it will hold those files at ransom when the subscription finishes. I am currently looking for a ways to remove this software from my computer, but it's a nightmare (You know... like a virus.)

My experience with this software is shocking, and I'm pleased to finally have found the means to move over to an entirely different ecosystem. Thank god.

Despicable company and so typical of…

Despicable company and so typical of big corporate companies. MS and Google the worst. Paid 5 times for Office365 in January got 3 of them returned which was proof of guilt but not full redress. Paid 2 times in February last payment 10th February 2025 - £10.49
Microsoft*Store £10.49 - had to reset my ONE DEVICE to factory settings but should have 5 applications BUT just been asked to pay again for 8th time in 2 months - GO TO HELL will find an alternative is Bill Gates really that hard up????

Copilot i Officepakken.

Jeg er utilfreds med at Copilot er hældt ud over alle programmer i Officepakken. Det er både et fordyrende og unødvendigt redskab for mig.
Fort at blive fri for Copilot er det nødvendig at opsige sit nuværende abonnement, og tegne et andet abonnement, som i øvrigt er et par hundrede kroner billigere pr. år. Jeg synes Microsoft tager unødvendige beslutninger på forbrugernes vegne.

High CPU usage when typing a message in Outlook

When typing an e-mail in Outlook (classic) from Microsoft 365, every time totally unnecessary CPU load causes the fan to become loud and the battery to get emptied quickly. Microsoft does not fix this bug for many months.

I'm possible to get support.

I'm possible to get support.
I have 365 email via Godaddy that I am leaving due
to poor customer service and outlook won't let me
back up my email. Godaddy set up a business account and I can't even reach Microsoft through that.

I am unable to back up my emails to exit using 365 as my new provider offers free emails. I tried calling Microsoft support line but the computer just tells you to go online and there's a loop with no support at the end of it.

Godaddy has told me that Microsoft is updating 365 and I'll have to wait until that's done to do a backup.

I can't even get support.

What a disgrace Microsoft has become with it's zero customer service.

Absolute disgrace

Absolute disgrace. No support whatsoever.
They have the phone system set up that from the time you make a 2nd call the phone auto voice just tell you to visit a website that I cannot understand what she says.
Then cuts off.
And thats me trying to renew a subscription.

Remember when you could do essential…

Remember when you could do essential tasks like saving a file to a folder on your computer, sending an attachment by email, copy and paste (well, that's never been good). Anyway, in their relentless quest to add new features you don't need, microsoft are also systematically making their product worse and worse from a functional perspective. Saving a file in know location? You will need about 6 clicks now not one and even then you need to double check. An attachment - nope - now it's a link, but don't forget to give the recipient permission to access that link. If only you can figure out how. But hey - now you can get ads on your log-in screen and half-developed, RAM hungry bloatware like Teams. I miss Windows 7. Heck even windows 10 is better than this pile of crap.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero start I would. Since logging my issue I have spend over 6 hours on hold over various calls with absolutely no progress. If my customer service was this bad I would be out of business. I am still no closer to resolution despite the apparent 48 hours guarantee, and have yet to actually be able to speak to a person who can assist me. I have been told so many times I have had my ticket being escalated it must surely now be sitting with the CEO.

Totally sucks in comparison to other…

Totally sucks in comparison to other products which are out there. Not user friendly and very limited functionality. It’s complicating rather than facilitating things. I can’t believe how a CEO can get away with such a product. The board is asleep, but there will be a day of reckoning for this company.

Complete crap

Complete crap, all numbers are automated and provide zero help for urgent matters. Frustrating process trying to get through to receive real help, especially for paying customers. Wasted over 50mins waiting, agent was completely useless and as a result was rooted back to switchboard. So angry...

Buying Micrsoft 365

Buying Micrsoft 365 - somehow it managed to provide me with 12 licenses instead of 1. So 12 times the price. Only realised this after the payment was taken because they bill on the day of payment.
Contacted the customer service - only available in US, so only contactable late in the day and costly to phone. Instead of helping me to cancel, they insisted I buy another single licence product in order to allow the cancellation to proceed. And then passed it off as if they were doing me a favour by refunding on what I had already paid - but it has become clear that in fact it was just a refund on the remainder of the coming month, now I have the invoice that came three weeks later. I cannot believe how much money they have had from me for nothing.
Finally, cannot get the product to work properly across 2 laptops in One Drive.
Do not recommend purchasing 365 - going back to one device installation which works out so much cheaper and more reliable to use.

It's like they're trying to make it difficult for you

If you don't keep your device on the internet 24/7 it keeps asking for authentication. Absolute rubbish, and the programs themselves (Microsoft word especially) are BAD if you go any deeper than surface level. The only reason I persist is because I'm too deep in, but please just save yourselves and get anything else.

Absolute dogshit

Google is just so much better. Microsoft asks me to do a million billion authentications all the time. I can't duplicate documents or share them without it locking them. It is by far the worst software I have ever used. It has wasted so much of my time and it makes my daily experience on my laptop and phone worse.
