Honest. Offer refund before I had to ask.

Very good customer service. In my case, Optery found only 1 result, and they told me Canadians average around 17. Before I even asked for anything, they contacted me and asked if I wanted a refund.

I really appreciated that. It felt honest, proactive, and fair. Many companies would have said nothing, so this left me with a very positive impression.

Solid Start, Shady Tactics Afterward

Optery will create fake screenshots to lure you into paying again. At the outset, it was a good service, until they started faking results and deliberately slacking to keep you subscribed.

I would have been more inclined to pay if they were transparent, but clearly they don’t see it that way. Good initial service, terrible after the first round of deletions.

Do yourself a favor and stick to the main data brokers, opt out yourself from people connect then use incogni for spam calls. Use free kanary to scan your search results.

After noticing, I’m convinced Optery could even go back and opt you back in just to keep the payments coming.

I’m done with Optery.

I paid in December. It is now March. They took forever to respond to my emails. Im not choosing this company again.

An Essential Service If We Value Our Privacy!

Optery offers a valuable service at a reasonable price. In today's world, digital privacy is very difficult to achieve. For nearly two centuries in this nation, our laws recognized that privacy is "the right to be left alone." Regrettably, those days are far behind us. Today, our data is big business. Corporations believe our data is THEIR property simply because they have monitored, collected, archived, and sold information about our personal online behavior and buying habits... consistently without our permission or even our awareness. This is a twisted and self-serving viewpoint to be sure, but it is indeed today's reality. Optery offers individuals an affordable and convenient method to push back a bit on the bazillion data aggregators. Sadly, they collect and sell our information with complete abandon. The service offered by Optey scrubs this information quite well... and rescrubs it when it reappears (a constant battle). In previous years, I spent the time and effort to clean up this digital "bread crumb trail" by my own efforts. Within a few short years, aggregators became so prolific that my personal efforts were totally insufficient (and I'm a retired CEO from the computer industry).Upon discovering Optery, I was a bit skeptical at first. However, I have found this service to be amazingly thorough, convenient and a reasonable value for the money. For the past couple years, my annual membership has been a very good use of money... and offers me some peace of mind in an age when this has become an increasing rarity. Thank you Optery for your terrific service. Highly recommended.

Optery was very professional and helpful!

Optery was very professional and provided me periodic updates on the progress on the removal of my information on sites. I started to receive less unwanted outside communication from unknown sources as more of my information was being removed from sites by Optery. I really appreciate their working hard to help me not have my information out for anyone to obtain.

Optery didn't delete my husbands data and continues to solicit me and won't stop

Optery didn't remove my husband's data, even though I paid for a family plan, this went on for 3 months. It took me a lot of time and frustration to sort this out. One customer service rep wanted me to pay more, then another rep found that my husband had been paid for. I found a much better site called Delete Me that gives you a customer service phone number, easy to sign up, and a trusted site for over 10 years with top reviews. 2 weeks later Optery continues to send me ads after being assured I am off their mailing list.

it says a lot of data is deleted but…

it says a lot of data is deleted but were 9 months in since signing up and a google search of my name and town and basically reveals my name, age, house pics, address, cell phone number, and friends and family (and all of their info too) are there, first and second link from a simple google search. its ridiculous.

A healthy skeptic review

I tested the waters of Optery for several months before reviewing them. The verdict? They have very impressive data scrubbing services. I give them a 4 out of 5 cause NOTHING's perfect. But within 3 months, they've scrubbed my data from over a couple hundred data broker sites.

Not only that, but they email you monthly progress reports of the specific sites that your data's been removed from. You receive a before and after screenshot chart. You can easily proof their statements with a simple search engine check of your name. I chose the Ultimate package at sign up for maximum effect.

Obviously, many people have common full names. When you sign up, you can list a history of addresses, numbers, and household residents to be as precise as possible when they scrub the data. So far so great! Give them at least 90 days to work for a maximum effect.

I Discernment

I tried to go from a free account to a paid. Three times my payment was rejected due to 'incorrect addtess'. Everything was correct and the cards worked everywhere else. This could be a technical glitch..Either way. I won't go to a paid account with them

Optery is doing a great job

Optery is doing a great job, erasing my footprints on the web and important information. Recently to companies gave me a "complementary" scan. One came up with only two results. One of the two was my ex. The other came up with 3 and I opted out with one.
