CAVEAT EMPTOR !!

Recently, I came upon a website for Optically. It was glamorous and exciting! I also learned that they reglaze glasses.
I had 2 brand new authentic Ray Ban frames, which cost $200.00 each. I needed to have my Rx put into these frames.
Optically offered spectacular prices and service! Accordingly, I sent my Ray Bans to Optically in Toronto where it was stated that they had a lab, and could provide quick, efficient service. My order #s are:
OD-CA-000088545 & OD-CA-000088546 respectively.
Upon receiving my frames, Optically sent me an email and told me that in order to process my order, they needed an additional $88.00, as my Rx was "complex". I found this very strange, as I have a simple, single vision lens, and I had already ordered the more expensive Kodak lenses. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RED FLAG!
Unfortunately, I sent them the additional money!
Once Optically got the money, everything went quiet! Weeks have passed, no glasses arrived. I contacted Optically: all they could tell me was "that they had received my order".
Still more time has passed. Nothing!
I again contacted Optically. No response!!
It seems that once Optically gets your expensive frames and money, they ignore you!
I do not believe that they have a lab in nearby Toronto; that's the reason they won't let you drop off your frames for them. Where is their lab?
Now, I feel that I have just lost my $400.00 worth of Ray Ban frames, and the $293.75 I paid them for the lenses! I am devastated!
In this era of on-line shopping, one has to be very cautious!
I will never again, order optical goods on-line but shall support my local merchants!
I love to leave 5 Star reviews, but now I'm forced to leave only 1 Star. Upon reading these reviews, so are MANY others!!
All I wanted was to have my Ray Bans reglazed with my Rx!
Sadly, that did not happen, consequently, no 5 Star review for Optically.

Terrible. My order took over 2 months to complete…

My order took over 2 months to complete for replacement lenses (which they refer to as reglazing). I paid for Kodak lenses to get premium quality. The glasses arrived with no certificate showing what lenses were actually provided and the lenses are not well done as the transition from distance to near vision is in a very narrow band making them hard to use.

Horrible experience beginning to end- 3…

Horrible experience beginning to end- 3 weeks after ordering they sent an email saying they had no more fo the frames I had chosen and to pick a different pair- took 5 days to reach them to inform them of my choice- 3 weeks later when I asked where my glasses were they informed me they had broken the lenses and they had to be remade- another two weeks and they finally shipped them only for them to arrive poorly made and impossible for anyone to wear- then they ignored my emails asking to return them and received their touted 1--% money back guarantee- STAY AWAY FROM OPTICALLY in my exp they are utterly incompetent

Ilegal cashgrab attempts to increase cost after order was placed

Their online system took my order, and my money. 6 days later I get a very poorly written email stating that my prescription was too complex for the chosen lenses and that my order cost is increased by 60% and would require my confirmation and payment. My prescription is very basic, and I know a cashgrab when I see one. When I asked them to cancel the order instead, they were suddenly willing to send them at the original price. I don't support crooked companies and requested a full refund. There are far better online companies to deal with.

Optically Deplorable... PayPal Excellent

Update July 14th, 2025:

Still no delivery but more evasion and unfulfilled promises.

Thank goodness for PayPal... they stepped in to make me whole

An awful experience. Optically Support customer service is totally ineffective.
It is now seven weeks since ordering... here's my experience:
I do not have my glasses.
Multiple delays with vague, unconvincing explanations.
A lack of tracking information or shipping confirmation.
I've made repeated requests for delivery, tracking details, or a refund... I have neither.
A failure to follow through on a promise to cancel the order and issue a refund in the event of further delays.

I couldn't update my review where I previously gave them 1 star, so this is a follow up to that review. They finally issued a refund and I feel like after all the pain, at least they did the right thing in the end, so it's only fair I give them more stars now and make sure that people are aware that they issued a refund eventually.

Top Quality Prescription Eyeglasses at a Great Price

This is the second time I've used Optically.ca to order prescription eyeglasses. I'm impressed by the wide range of attractive frames available, many at discounted prices, and by the inexpensive cost for progressive lenses compared to shopping in a store. Plus, they provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to questions.

Great service and product for my senior mom

My senior mom bought 3 pairs of glasses from Optically that she is VERY happy with. Much more affordable than store bought, and customer service by Optically (Mike) was EXCELLENT during the postal strike. He stayed on-top of our shipment and ensured she eventually got the glasses. GREAT SERVICE!

Avoid

Avoid. Waiting over 30 days for two pairs. First the glasses broke when they received them, then another agent said they broke fitting the lens. Second pair was complete but I guess they have to send them together for some stupid reason.

Miserable experience. Clueless customer service, horrible instructions, unreliable warehouse. You'd be better off throwing your glasses in the garbage than trusting these clowns. AVOID

They’re not responsive and they take over two months to complete your order. I’m still waiting for mine.

This website has me thinking they’re a scam. I order my glasses April 22nd, made one adjustment May 13, and it’s June 3rd now and I still haven’t received my glasses. They have stopped picking up the call, and responding to my email. I’m happy I paid with PayPal because now I’m going to refund the order through their claims department. Don’t waste your time, they are very unprofessional there are many other sites to order from who take your business seriously. I have ordered two other frames from a different site for less money and got them in less than a week. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!

This is the worst optical company you…

This is the worst optical company you could deal with. My odrer took well over a month to fulfill. When It finally arrived , the prescription was wron and had no tinting as was ordered. These people offer nothing but pitiful excusses. Run from Optically.Don't even consider dealing with them.

Pretends to be a Canadian site but is not. My glasses were sent from AUSTRALIA! I had to pay 30 dollars extra for import charges. Totally hidden cost when their site clearly says there are no hidden cost. I took me more than a month to receive them. Service is terrible, they don't answer emails.
