Had a really good experience with Pertemps up until the very end of the recruitment process. The team were helpful and proactive, securing me an interview quickly, offering interview advice the day before, and even calling on the morning of my interview to check in.

After the interview I had a positive and encouraging discussion, and I felt supported throughout what can be a stressful process.

Unfortunately, after that I received no further update despite contacting both the recruitment consultant and branch manager multiple times. It has now been four weeks since my interview, so I have assumed I was unsuccessful.

This is obviously disappointing, particularly due to the lack of communication, but I do want to recognise the support provided earlier in the process, hence the 3-star rating.

I've been mainly working for Pertemps for a couple of years and never really had any issue from their Swindon and Reading branches.
Always got me a good amount of work and paid on time for what i did.

Communication was incredible, staff really go out of their way to get you seen by employers. Got a job really quickly thanks to them.

Hannah Steward delivered the best customer service I have probably ever experienced, she made sure that the whole process from sending the CV to getting the job was smooth. Buys people's telephone numbers and sends messages on a Sunday evening, not knowing who you are, what your profession is, whether you're male or female, young or old. Reported as spam!

All a little odd, got a call from them asking if I’m looking for work so I said yes filled in the stuff and heard nothing since? And when I did speak to Louisa very briefly while she sent over the stuff she said next day she will be in contact? Don’t really understand why you would reach out and then not act on it after? get a feeling it’s very number based and looks good for there books

Theresa was really helpful throughout the whole recruitment process. She called me about a role that in the end didn't materalise but when another opportunity came forward she contacted me straight away and i got the job!

Very happy with Pretemp service

Applied for a role in Coulsdon and was a great fit for the role and was told by someone called Lxxxxx who sounded harsh, slight attitude and told my CVwas jumpy. 20 years in IT and was never told my CV was ever jumpy. Their client had bad experience for whatever reason and I was instantly judged by this recruiter. I did not like this at all and to me was unprofessional and advised that she had no clue what she was talking about. Had she put me forward and sold me into the role I would have been fine but instead wanted to give me useless, constructive feedback which i had to laugh, utter pathetic agent and recruiter, Stay away, avoid.

Very professional and the communication was great throughout. Would definitely use them again.

Pertemp contact you out of the blue, upon observing a CV online. It is virtually impossible for you to return a call to this agency, where you will be left on hold for an indefinite period, in a queuing system.
What they do not inform you, is that once you have sent them all of your documentary ID, is that they then request a biometric profile. Where they will then send all of your private details to company house, for Government and Home office perusal, in directly breaching section 8 of the ECHR. The Right to Privacy.
In essence, your information is being sold and stored, on the premise of employment.
If you do not comply, then you will not be allowed the right to work.
This agency will explain, that biometric profiles are a mandatory statutory requirement in the UK. When this is simply not true.
Avoid,avoid,avoid. If you respect your freedom.

Dealing with this team has been nothing short of exhausting. The staff consistently cut you off mid-sentence when you’re trying to explain an issue, making it nearly impossible to have a proper conversation. Getting through on the phone is another challenge entirely—they rarely answer, and when they do, it’s with little intention of actually resolving anything.

On the rare occasion they agree to take action or follow up, it never happens. Promises are made and then completely forgotten. The lack of basic communication, accountability, and task management is astounding. It feels like no one there takes ownership or cares about providing even a minimal level of service.

Avoid dealing with them if you value your time and sanity.
