The must have awning!
The whole process from start to finish was efficient, aided by very helpful and knowledgeable staff who advised, which continued during the survey, ending with fitting by a skilled operator whose attention to detail was excellent and reassuring. The awning is brilliant, a must in this warm summer, and we look forward to the arrival of the shutters.

Although I had to wait a little longer than anticipated for my shutters it was well worth the wait. The fitter was efficient and tidied away any mess created, he was finished fitting the shutters in less than 4 hours. I have very tall windows and he brought his own steps to reach the tops of the window frames. I am extremely happy with the finished work and the quality of the craftsmanship.

Professional response from Plantation Shutters
A customer of mine requested repairs to their Plantation Shutters where the links had broken or gone missing. Having not previously had any dealings with Plantation Shutters, I reach out via their website to enquire where I could get the links. They called me back promptly after my enquiry and Kris was kind enough to offer to ship me enough to undertake the repairs. I was impressed with their professionalism and swift turnaround. I would recommend them as a supplier and shutter supplier.

Highly recommended
We contacted Plantation Shutters to obtain an indication of costs. We provide a simple sketch. I discussed options with Grace who was polite, informed and helpful. We then arranged a survey with Vian, again both polite and knowledgeable. His attention to detail later proved invaluable. Kris, again very pleasant, provided a competitive quotation. We awarded Plantation Shutters the contract. Within the allotted time span Phil arrived with the shutters. Phil could not have worked harder, installing 6 windows including a bay in 4 hours. Thank you Grace, Kris, Vian and Phil. We would certainly recommend plantation shutters.

Extremely disappointing experience.
Extremely disappointing experience.
I purchased shutters from this company approximately one year ago. A hinge failed and caused damage to the panel despite the shutters being lightly used in a property that is only occupied on a limited basis.
My initial impression was that the company was willing to investigate the issue, but once I raised concerns and provided photographs and video evidence, the position changed completely. I was simply told that the damage must have been caused by “excessive force” and that neither the company nor the manufacturer considered it to be a defect.
What I find most concerning is that, despite relying on the manufacturer’s opinion, no copy of the manufacturer’s report, assessment, or correspondence has been provided. Instead, I have been asked to accept their conclusion without seeing any supporting evidence.
As a customer, I expected a company selling a premium product to stand behind its workmanship and investigate failures properly. Instead, I have been left with a damaged product, no meaningful explanation, and no resolution.
I am now pursuing the matter formally. Based on my experience, I would be cautious about relying on this company’s after-sales service and warranty support.

Dear Yara,
We’re sorry that you remain unhappy with the outcome of this matter.
When you first contacted us, we approached your concern exactly as we do with any potential warranty issue. We carefully reviewed the photographs and video you provided, and we also sought an independent assessment from the manufacturer. Their feedback aligned with our own professional judgement. With over 40 years of experience in this industry, we are confident in saying that a hinge of this construction does not fracture in this way without the application of significant force.
While we appreciate your request for the manufacturer’s internal report, the comments we shared with you reflect their findings based on the evidence supplied. This is the same process followed for all warranty evaluations, and we apply it consistently to ensure fairness.
We always aim to resolve matters as helpfully and transparently as possible, and we stand behind the quality of our products. As offered, we remain available and happy to fix your shutters, however in this case, both our assessment and the manufacturers indicate that the damage is not consistent with a manufacturing defect, therefore meaning it doesn’t come under warranty.
We apologise that this is not the outcome you were hoping for and we are sorry for the frustration caused. We respect your right to pursue any independent process available to you and we will fully cooperate with any external review.
A very good service.
