Plantation Shutters did a great job
Plantation Shutters did a great job of getting the look and practicality that we were looking for. Friendly service. Vincent came and did the measuring and brought samples and examples of previous work. Matched a competitive price from another retailer. When the shutters were fitted there was a difference in how they had been measured so the shutters were taken away to be altered slightly, but this was handled without fuss. We live in an old house with some some walls being slightly unusual angles, so there was a gap around the edge of the shutters which had to be filled with caulk. So just be aware that in older houses there cannot be a "perfect" fit. But we are very happy with the quality service and month after they were fitted.

Hi Julia,
Thank you very much for sharing your experience and for such an open and balanced review. We’re really pleased to hear that the shutters delivered both the appearance and practicality you were hoping for, and that the overall service left you feeling happy with your choice.
It’s great to know that the measuring visit was helpful and informative. Vincent always aims to make the process as clear as possible by bringing samples and examples, so customers can feel confident about their decisions. We’re also glad we could work with you on pricing and remain competitive while still delivering a high-quality product.
Older properties certainly bring their own character and challenges, so we appreciate your understanding when it comes to non-standard walls and angles. When the initial discrepancy was identified, we were more than happy to take the shutters back and make the necessary adjustments, resolving things smoothly and without inconvenience is exactly how we believe these situations should be handled.
Thank you as well for your honest note regarding fitting in period homes; it’s a helpful insight for others considering shutters in similar properties. We’re delighted that, a month on, you’re still very happy with both the quality of the shutters and the service you received. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you ever need further assistance or advice, we’re always happy to help.
Great shutters and brilliant customer service …
Great installation of our lovely shutters with minimal disruption but also great customer service. About two years after installation there was what was a problem with one of our shutters. Plantation came round within a few days and fixed it under guarantee. Then one of our family this Christmas (2025) broke a slat. I rang the company and the call was answered with no delay and the lady who answered, Chris, was able to deal with it. I expected a visit as necessary and was expecting to have to pay but she said they would send a few spring loaded clips that I could use to put back the slat into the fixing holes (I repaired the slat with super glue). They arrived the next day and I was able to put the slat back in place. Most satisfactory!! I recommend Plantation with no hesitation

Hi Fraser and Helen,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear how pleased you’ve been with your shutters and, just as importantly, with the service you’ve received over the years.
It’s great to know that the original installation went smoothly and with minimal disruption – that’s always something we strive for. We’re also very pleased that when an issue arose a couple of years after installation, our team was able to attend promptly and resolve it under guarantee. Standing by our products and supporting our customers long after installation is something we take very seriously.
We were especially pleased to read about your recent experience over Christmas. Accidents do happen, particularly with family around, so it’s lovely to know that a quick phone call and some simple advice were all that was needed to get things sorted. Kris will be delighted to hear your kind words – she takes great pride in helping customers find and we’re glad the spring-loaded clips arrived quickly and did the job.
Thank you again for your recommendation and continued trust in Plantation Shutters. Feedback like yours really does mean a great deal to the whole team, and we’re always here should you need any help or advice in the future.

Stunning Job from design to finish
Absolutely Excellent, from design to fitting.
It’s great to get a local company that designs and fits Plantain Shutters all in house with their own designs and fitters and no subcontractors involved.
We had a rather large and awkward job for four rooms. Vincent came along from their design team and did a wonderful job. Shutters arrived on time and price as quoted .All done in one day and they cleared up perfectly. Well done Vincent. Thank You for the stunning job.

Brilliant
Definitely recommend this company and product. Ordered the white, metal, security shutters for a bay window. Not only do we get great security, they look fabulous and generate a lot of light too. Fantastic service and product all around from Planation Shutters. From Lee’s measuring and quoting, Grace’s help with order placement, Michelle’s assistance with delivery and Vincent’s installation. Would 100% do it all over again. Love our white metal security shutters and can’t wait to be able to open the sash windows in the summer without feeling vulnerable to passers-by. Thank you.

Last year Plantation Shutters installed shutters in my front bay windows and I was so pleased with the result that I have just had the company install shutters at the rear of my house.
