My son attended the London trial in October 2020
My son attended the London trial over half term and it was a great experience for him. I particularly liked to see how feedback was delivered at the end of the session by one of the lady organisers, my son was trialling for the younger age groups and it was all very friendly and age appropriate for the little kids. His coach also very encouraging and friendly. I did think the pitch was slightly small for the number of kids, and because of the age group they were all running around struggling to keep to positions. Nevertheless my son was able to showcase his talent and was scouted, but even before finding out the result he said he really enjoyed himself.

Great opportunity to showcase talent
Whilst in lockdown when there's very few games going on, I thought I'd take my son along for some goalkeeper training and let him show off his talents in front of some scouts. The setup was very professional, good coaching standard, and it was very well attended by scouts from lots of clubs. My son came away with four scouts asking him to come for trials, plus a fifth followed up with Pro 11 to see whether we would be OK to share our details. My son was naturally blown away and his confidence in his ability has gone through the roof! Happy to recommend Pro 11 Trials.

Dan attended a trial in Leeds as a parent I was impressed with the set up. Fir me what I like most was that all the players could be seen by the scouts it wasn’t over crowded and eaCh player had their time to shine.
The coach who took Dan group was fantastic with the players talking to them all the time and encouraging all the time
Couldn’t say enough about the day for Dan and the Pro 11 staff
Would highly recommend anyone to sign up

Opportunity to showcase football talent.
First time taking our son to trial with Pro 11. Great organisation from start to finish. Great communication from admin and plenty opportunities for our son to get seen by club scouts.

Pool Foot Farm trial day
Superbly run , drills were fantastic keeping all the kids going especially as the weather wasn't great, my son enjoyed it said it was great, it was great to watch aswell, all staff were friendly my son was lucky enough that day to be scouted which has given him a massive confidence boost especially as a goalkeeper and hes only been in the sticks since June 2019 (8 months) Thank you Dave & Pro11 staff excellent I would highly recommend to anyone! Try it you never know!

Not what you think it will be
Was poor wouldnt reccomend. 20 kids having a match on pitch smaller than a 5 side pitch it was ridiculous. Hows anyone suppose to express themselves playing 10v10 on half a 5 aside pitch. Maybe should of got another coach in and halfed the group. Hope this changes for people going in the future. Good luck

Hi Josh. We are sorry you were disappointed with your experience at Pro11. On the date you attended, unfortunately there were no additional goals available at the venue for the coach to use, and we had quite a large group, so the coach used his discretion to use all the players and not to make the team smaller and have subs. The pitch was a 7-a-side size, and from this group of u11s on this day, there were 2 players scouted, so the format did not impact on the clubs being able to identify talent. My son, aged 14 was in the older group. The set up and coaching was good, however, I'm not sure if it was down to the fact that the group was poor, but there was very little/no interest from scouts and nobody got scouted in our group. I felt my son played really well but no one was watching. A shame really, he plays in 2 division 1 teams scoring goals in every game and is looking to make that next step.

Trials was good coaches were great just the scouts didn’t really watch my age group they we’re more for the older group and at the end of the trials was all the older group lads picked but the day was great thank you

I was really dissappointed with the organisation.
In my opinion, they did not focus on my son's age group. I could say that their focus was on boys of 15 and 16 age group.
I will advise that the organisers give feedback in writing instead to avoid affecting our children.

Hi Don. We are really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience at Pro11. Sometimes it might appear that scouts are focusing on a particular group, but in reality on this date in London, half of the 12 players scouted were under the age of 11. In regards to feedback, we have debated long and hard about how to deliver this. At Pro11 we have an approach of openness, and transparency in everything that we do, which is why for example we clearly tell you which scouts are in attendance at the event and which players have been selected on the day. We decided that delivering feedback directly to the parent and player on the day would be the best way to do this. It also means that the players are fresh in the mind of the coaches. Feedback is always delivered constructively, positively and sensitively, taking into account the age of the player. Regards, Pro11 Customer Service
Very bad organization
Very bad organization. Classic hour and a half training and couple of games. They've put U7, U8, U9 to play together during training, and then kids been trained to play 5 a side been thrown on the pitch for a game say 9 a side. All kids get lost. Some of them ain't touch the ball. Wasted £50 paying for a training and unorganised 5 minute matches.

We arrive so in plenty of time to sign in when we got there’s we were given directions where’s to go to sign in which seemed like the tunnel for the changing rooms at fleetwood town academy the fleetwood players were trying to get in and out as you had parents and children gathered in this small corridor
One sign it wasn’t done we were told to make our way to the restaurant.
There we waited for around 20 mins then we had a briefing on what is ahead for the nect 2 and half hours
So the lads go out parents watching 2 high pro club scouts Liverpool and Everton around 6 scouts for fleetwood town and one or two for local teams around that area
My son an u14 age still 13 until August was out with the u16s for the final match after the drills they did which I feel doesn’t give him the best chance of showcasing himself
They weren’t warmed up before going into the drills no stretches etc
The whole session was cut short by 45 mins so overall disappointed

Hi, I am sorry you were disappointed with the day at Fleetwood. Unfortunately, being under the control of the club we were only allocated indoor space in the changing rooms, and were only allowed to use the restaurant area for certain times due to the use by the first team. There was outside space allocated to us as well, but due to the bad weather this was not usable for registration etc. This was not ideal but we had no control over this unfortunately. The timings advertised for any event include the time taken for registration / briefing and de-briefing / feedback afterwards, and timings are always approximate, taking into account number of trailists etc. In the case of the Fleetwood trial, as I am sure you can appreciate, the weather was so bad that the coaches took the decision to end the session a little early as particularly the younger players were showing signs of cold and fatigue, even though they had been given a comfort break. Whilst we appreciate this is disappointing, the well being of players is always our first priority. Also, at this point, the scouts had already informed us which players they were interested in talking to, so there was little to gain by making the trialists continue under the weather conditions. In regards to your son being placed with older players, we do not have enough trialists on any event for children to play just within their own age group. As the drills and matches are not full contact, we can allow a couple of years difference for players in their groups. Also, this format has allowed players of all ages to be successfully scouted at previous trial events, as the scouts are only looking for this to give them an overview of a trialist to provoke their interest, and would then arrange to monitor the player further either with their own team, or by inviting them in to a training trial at their club. Great for my son but sadly my daughter…
Great for my son but sadly my daughter was the only girl there so was a bit of a shame really the event was run superbly and would definitely recommend it to any young lads wanting to try and get scouted lucky my lad did on his first occasion and was made up
