Proplates Avis

Delivery was quick and the plate (a stick-on type for the front of the car) looked good.
But.... getting it satisfactorily stuck on the car (the nose cone of a Caterham 7) was impossible. The plate's vinyl-type material is very thin and very sticky, so when air bubbles get trapped, as they almost certainly will, or if it needs slightly repositioning, it is all but impossible to gently lift it. It can be lifted, but this takes more than a bit of gentle persuasion - one has to pull it quite hard and this distorts the shape. I did use a heat gun on a low heat setting to try and make it more pliable and easier to lift, but to little effect. I also used a squeegee to smooth the plate onto the nosecone surface and get rid of air bubbles, but again to little effect. I have successfully put decals on motorbike fairings - these have been far easier to lift and tweak, using said heat gun and squeegee, so I have had some good practise!
Maybe there's a certain knack to getting the Proplate perfectly in place, but if there is, I haven't got it! If there is a knack, it would be useful to have instructions/fitting tips with the plate, or even a video on-line!
Maybe a thicker vinyl material and a less aggressive adhesive is required to make the fitting process more user-friendly.
So for me it's been an unfortunate waste of money and I have retained the standard (rigid) plate, which looks not as nice but is a doddle to fit!
In summary, I'd say think hard before ordering this make of sticky plate - if you've successfully fitted one before, that's fine; but if you haven't, there's a good chance it will not give a perfect, first-time result no matter how careful you are.

I’m a perfectionist and ProPlates have recreated a dealer sticker and plates for my car and I can’t find fault .
Use with confidence if you want to return your cherished motor to
original spec.
Thanks Chris 👍

Beautifully crafted, precisely made works of art. I wanted dealer looking plates and what I got surpassed my extremely exacting demands. Top job, thank you so much.

Ordered on a Wednesday, hasnt arrived on Monday yet, unwilling to refund the extra cost for charging next day delivery,
Charged for 1-2 days delivery, been 6 days and not yet received,

Decent quality adhesive plates, good customer support however do not pay for express delivery, ordered Wednesday mid day with express delivery (1-2 days) as I needed a new plates after finding out the previous one I had ordered with borders did not meet legal requirements. The plate arrived the following Tuesday, 6 days later. I had spent and extra £9.99 to get it within a certain time frame and it did not deliver.

Excellent and fast service for a custom sized plate (330mm) Ordered on Tuesday afternoon and arrived Thursday morning.

Very fast delivery
Easy to deal with
Excellant Service

Excellent quality, fast service and shipping; you get exactly what you see on screen.

I lost a plate on the M25, and pro plates were able to rush my order to get me back on the road as soon as possible.

Also, their legally-required writings are unobtrusive and light in colour.

Yet again, pro plates provided above and beyond service, super quick and reliable. Great quality, I recommend to all.

As a club we wanted to order 10 front display plates so messaged ProPlates and they offered a good price. After giving details and sending our club logo they offered two designs. We picked one and order placed and agreed price paid. The plates arrived within two days. Excellent and helpful service. Thanks to Danielle customer services, for her help.

Absolutely delighted with my plates, which came in the exact size I specified and look very classy.
Their communication was excellent, when the first set was damaged in the post, due to the fact they were stick on flexible items and got folded, the second set arrived packed between hard plates to avoid any repeat issues.
Great service, excellent Product, many thanks.

My experience was that ProPlates offered an easy to use website for full range of number plate styles and features, no personal info data grab like some and more sensible prices than many.

I really liked the option for some custom wording in small letters at the base of the plate, which was great for my vintage tractor. Delivery was prompt. Would use again.

Great service and communication and excellent quality plates.

Purchased a self adhesive plate and when I tried to fit it it went totally out of shape with bubbles, poor quality and unable to use, asked for a refund but nothing. poor customer service

Plates are of good quality, competitively priced and arrived 3 days after ordering. Good communication from seller

Pro plates are definitely the best for plate. Ordered from here a good few times and I know they will be fantastic when they get yo me. Also delivery is very fast. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent customer service with rapid communication to ensure I was happy with the initial design of the show plates. Then they got made and sent very fast, and the quality was amazing for the price. 100% recommended.

Great plates. Fantastic quality for the price.
They did send the wrong plates in the initial order but quickly rectified it, mistakes happen but its how you deal with it, and they did great.

After purchasing an auction plate, I wanted to do my purchase justice.
I wanted a specific request regarding the BSAU 145E number.
I have an amazing set of perfect plates, made just as requested. Great price too.
Thank you ProPlates top job.

Unfortunately haven't yet received the plates, even though I ordered 6 days ago and paid for 48 tracked service.

I bought the plates based on their own FAQ which states orders are shipped the same day. I was sent a tracking code the same day, but unfortunately it didn't work.

After chasing the issue with the tracking for several days, I was finally made aware by the company that the items actually take longer that advertised to produce and would be shipped 3 days after my original purchase.

I shopped around to ensure I found a company with a fast turn around due to my circumstances, unfortunately I was misled by their own FAQ.

Requested a refund multiples times but no movement. Can't comment on the quality of the product as I don't have the items.
