Protyre Autocare - Workington Lillyhall Avis 

Normally I'd give 5 stars, but I went in for puncture repair and they said there was 2 screws in but they can't do it it will have to be a new tyre, so I let them change the tire, I've been up to skoda at Carlisle for a service and asked what a sealed tyre is, they said to me my car as not got sealed tyres, so I'm a bit pissed off this time, I've got a bit of wire in the front one, they just repaired it in the garage.

Always lots of choice of tyres both in size and price wise, if they don't have your tyres in stock they'll have them next day. Used Protyre/Gates for many years now, they've always got the job done quickly and professionally, prices I'm happy with, most of all friendly and helpful staff.

Staff are friendly and straight up with customers. Prices are compatible with anywhere else and booking / payment is easy enough online. Never had any issues in the years I've used the garage. That's why I've given 4*.

The draw back is the online 'time slot' booking system which is a bit misleading.
This is a drop-in centre and fitters graft all day. Don't expect your car to be pulled in at the exact time you booked. There isn't a dedicated team within the team who prioritise online bookings, otherwise I'd have given 5*. You just join the queue when you arrive. Be patient and prepared to wait.

I had an 8.30 appointment. When I got there, on time, I found the guy on reception to be unpleasantly grumpy and not friendly in the least. Very off-putting. I needed two tyres which took them over an hour to fit. I felt this to be an excessively long time to simply fit two tyres. The fitter was very pleasant and friendly. The negatives outweighed any positives however.

A straight forward process. Dropped off the car for its MOT, recieved a phone call to tell me the car was ready, collected the car.

Incredibly good service. I phoned up the afternoon before, explained I didn’t live in the area and had to travel home the following afternoon as well as doing a days work. They guys agreed to make me first job the following morning, and I was and out in 25mins!

What’s even better though, is that whilst looking for my locking wheel-nut, they came across my Armed Forces Veterans card in my car (forgot I even had it). As a result, they then proceeded to take 10% off for me and thanked me for my service which was genuinely quite moving. One of the best experiences of customer service I’ve ever had in any sector

Paid for a new tyre on line but didn't need it. They let me know and we're happy to refund the difference.

Always had great experiences here with whatever service I’ve needed staff and helpful and really friendly never felt taken advantage of especially as a woman staff are always honest and respectful wouldn’t use anywhere else
