Rebel Badge Club Avis 

I’ve been a member of the Rebel Badge Club for almost three years and it’s given me so many opportunities and friendships I wouldn’t have had without it. I’ve done the three peaks challenge, played Monopoly in London and Edinburgh, done numerous activities at summer camp and so much more. The online community is really supportive and encouraging. Rebel has made me so much more confident.

I was initially drawn to the Rebel Badge Book because I wanted to shake up my routine—no more coming home from work just to doze on the sofa every evening. Little did I know it would not only bring motivation and structure back into my life, but also lead me to a warm, supportive community I never knew I needed.

The badges themselves are such a fantastic concept, but the real magic happens when you connect with others on the accompanying Facebook group. Everyone there is so encouraging, offering advice and cheering each other on. The friendship and camaraderie at Charly’s events are simply wonderful, and it’s clear just how much creativity and thought she invests in everything she does.

After going through a difficult time with my mental health, this book and the supportive community surrounding it helped me rediscover my sense of purpose. If you’re looking for a spark of inspiration, a nudge towards new goals, and a genuinely welcoming group of people to cheer you on, I wholeheartedly recommend the Rebel Badge Club. It has changed my life—and it might just change yours too!

There are now three rebel badge books, containing structured merit badges for grown ups to complete. I have loved completing the badges and sewing the high quality patches on to my patch quilt. The badge books are supported by an online community on Facebook, and in person events through the year. I attended the Big Rebel Meet up number 11 in Reading on the 15th March and had a great time meeting lots of other members of the club. We did a range of activities to help support different badges, including a disco themed yoga class, mandala stone painting, a make up class for the beautician badge, a fondant iconic workshop and a mechanics workshop. It was a fun and varied day. I’m also really enjoying doing the monthly challenge badges and using the quarterly challenge badges to help guide what merit badges I’ll be working on. There is also the rebel cup, which is done in patrols, where there are extra challenges each month to earn bonus patrol points. This year is based around the alphabet, and I am loving how my creativity is sparked by the prompts and how I’m getting more active and outside even more from the more physical challenges.
I think different people get different things from the club, but everyone is welcome and it’s an inclusive and friendly online space, with great opportunities to meet people in person through the meet ups, local rebellions and summer camp.

I have been a member since 2022 and it has changed my life. Since being involved in Rebels I have made so many new friends, I have got back involved in Scouting (I only did it for a badge but now have a troop of 17 Scouts).
The meetups are great fun, you get to try activities that you might not do in normal life (and they tick off clauses) And summer camp is a 3 day adventure where you get to try so much more.
You can pick and choose how much you want to get involved, if you just want to the main badges you have over 150 to choose from, There are monthly badges that are themed, (this month celebrates world book day, if you get jealous of the children having fun dressing up there is a clause this month to do just that!) and there are quarterly badges that get you to work on badges that from across the books if you cant decide which one to do first. If you want to have an input into the monthly badges there is the Rebel Council who suggest clauses for Charly to pick from.
And if you missed out on doing DofE as a teenager then there are the Maverick Awards.
With so much to choose from, there is something for everyone!

Game changer!!
Through the Rebel Badge Club, I have met some wonderful people, tried new things, gained new hobbies and friends and made the most of my spare time - sometimes with hilarious consequence. Who says only kids get to earn badges and have all the fun??
Little did I know when I got the book, how much confidence I would gain to try different things and how much I would learn about myself!

For background, I've had the Rebel book and been part of the online community since March 2022, I have to say there truly is something for everyone and in my experience is one of those very special, encouraging places on the internet that are so few and far between.
When I started it was 52 merit badges in a book that spanned all things from adventurous activities to self care, creative tasks and even being a grown up - it's nice to get a badge for the thankless tasks in life. I especially love the global section that focuses on being a good citizen and getting involved in charity work, litter picks and learning about others. With all badges being completely optional and self assessed - what's not to love.
To make things even better, now there are 3 books, online and in real life events you can go to that give you opportunities to tick off clauses and have fun with other like minded people. There are city wide games and even a summer camp should that be your thing. For those who are looking for some lighter fun, the monthly badges are fab, my favourites are big kid summer and the scavenger hunt, they are brilliant and really embrace fun. For the long term goal people there are yearly badges encouraging you to spend more time outside in nature, reading and even getting a yearly health check up, gentle reminders to look after ourselves in our busy lives. Again all self assessed and optional.
For those who love a challenge there are the Maverick awards and the Rebel cup, these are so much fun and have the added accountability of being assessed, which really helps some people, for some being assessed is not their thing and that's ok too. Literally something for everyone.

Charly who's idea it was is always helpful and thinking of new ideas to bring people together, to say she is a one woman business with no employees and very little help she does amazing to get orders out so quickly. She gives Rebels the opportunity to have a say in what clause go into extra badges like the monthly ones with the Rebel council, and makes sure ALL people regardless of gender, disability, race or religion ARE catered for. You start not knowing people but soon make friends, the 1st event you go to maybe on your own but you will know someone before an hour is up and any events after there will always be someone there you know.

If you want to give your life a bit of fun you need Rebel Badges Club in your life.

I have been a customer/member of the Rebel Badge Club since 2022. Customer service is awesome, the books and badges are excellent, and the online community built around it is the most welcoming and fun community I've ever been part of.

Adulting can be really tough sometimes. It's easy to fall into doom scrolling or introvert to hard and cut yourself off from life experiences. The motivation to learn something new or get out of your comfort zone falls to the wayside...that is of course unless you can earn a badge for doing it!

I first discovered the Rebel Badge Book a few years ago while I was in the middle of one of those slumps and desperate to add some fun and adventure to my life, and my experience thusfar has been incredible. The community built around the books (aka the Rebel Badge Club) has honestly been the highlight. Kindness is one of the tennants that the club is built on and because of that the community has been an overall incredibly uplifting place and a great place to make friends (which is also tough as adult, let's be honest).

Thusfar, since joining I've completed 52 merit badges plus countless monthly, quarterly, and annual badges. I've also attended two (soon to be 3) in person "official" events hosted by the club which were loads of fun. Yes, just taking a glance over the items in the shop things might seem a bit pricy but remember 1. Inflation is making everything expensive now, 2. It's a small business and small businesses are so much better to support than say Amazon, and 3. This is an endeavor that truly enriches the lives of the people that commit to it (both neurodiverse and neurotypical) and you can't say that about much in the world anymore. I highly reccomend anyone give Rebel badge club a shot. It's worth it.

I've been a member of the RBC for a whole now and find it to be a welcoming and inclusive space for a range of people in many different countries. It's certainly encouraged me to try new things and the lure of a badge for stuff is surprisingly motivating! The FB group is busy and fun and Charly's shop has always worked well for me. Respect and tolerance are expected. There's a specific email address for queries and any queries I've had have been resolved quickly.

Joining the Rebel Badge Club has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s more than just earning badges—it’s about being part of a supportive and inspiring community. The club brings together people from all walks of life who are passionate about personal growth, and the encouragement from fellow members creates a real sense of belonging.

One of the most valuable aspects is the sense of purpose it provides. Each badge represents a meaningful achievement, whether it's mastering a new skill, contributing to the community, or pushing personal boundaries. The structure of the club encourages you to step outside your comfort zone and take on challenges that foster both personal and professional development.

The Maverick program particular, has been a standout. It’s similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Award but offers even greater and more official recognition for the work and dedication involved. What sets it apart is that it’s assessed adding an extra layer of accountability and making the achievement feel even more rewarding. This formal assessment ensures that your efforts are recognised in a structured and meaningful way, enhancing the value of the award.

Overall, Rebel Badge Club is more than just a club—it’s a platform for growth, connection, and achievement. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, find a community of like-minded people, or gain official recognition for your efforts, this club offers something special for everyone.

Amazing group and Charly the owner is brilliant. A great way to find new hobbies, rediscover old ones, meet new people and have fun! It's given me a sense of who I am again after being mum/employee for so long. Would recommend to everyone

As a newbie to the Rebel Badge Club, my experience so far has been very positive. I’m enjoying the extra motivation to do the things I want to do anyway, with a bit of fun added along the way. It’s a great club that can be used however you like – whether that’s for incentives to meet your goals, learning new things, or simply bringing a little joy into your life or meeting new people. I could see myself getting a bit obsessed with it, though there’s definitely a limit to the badges I’d want to pursue. The club’s self-assessment approach is very inclusive, accommodating different abilities and time constraints. I’m really enjoying it! While it could get expensive to buy all the badges as you earn them, there’s no pressure to do so – a sticker or printout could work just as well for many.

The owner works so hard to ensure everyone has a great time and can be involved in some way at both in person events and throughout the activities in the badge books and monthly badges which is incredible considering how many needs different people have.
I had a mix up and something was missing from my order and she resent it so quickly and it arrived no problem. All the products are beautiful and super high quality and the community she has created is amazing, full of super friendly people. The Facebook group is the safest space on the internet and I love it. Thank you Charly!
