Matthew Elkins was extremely helpful and encouraging but also realistic in supporting my efforts to have a caution deleted. He kept me fully informed of progress and furnished me with expert advice. The result was a full deletion and, remarkably, a handwritten note from the Chief Constable explaining that he was “pleased to remove this one burden overshadowing [my] life”. I want to thank Matt Elkins for all his hard work in helping remove my caution. During the time of my caution I was suffering from mental health issues and accepted a false conviction. After two years when my mental health improved I had realised that I made a horrible mistake. The caution has to be disclosed to any potential employer thus many of my job and placement year applications were denied. Luckily Matt is a highly skilled lawyer and was able to remove my caution in only a few months. I am now able to apply to any job and have a been accepted for a placement year. Matt ensured that all the hard work and money I put in to my engineering degree did not go to waste.
