Rickshaw Travel Avis 

We have been booking our holidays through Rickshaw for a number of years now but this was our first European adventure with them. Emma helped us choose our itinerary and it was great. Places to stay are well located and we do things we might otherwise have missed. Will be back next year.

Awesome trip to Guatemala and Belize with great help and advice from Hannah. I literally started with a blank sheet of paper with just South or Central America in mind for an adventurous family trip. After explaining our time parameters and interests, Hannah suggested Guatemala and Belize and came up with a great suggested itinerary to suit. She was super-flexible and very accommodating with changes and we got what we wanted - a memorable and adventurous trip with the family after our youngest son's GCSEs. Would definitely recommend Rickshaw Travel and use them again. Thanks Hannah and team.

Rickshaw's relaxed and friendly approach made the process of designing our holiday very straightforward. The various bitesized trips fitted together to form a complete package enabling us to see the best of what Borneo has to offer. Highly recommended.

Miles at Rickshaw helped us create a perfect 17 day itinerary around things we wanted to see in Sri Lanka and suggesting many others too. We also needed to add a stopover in the UAE to vist our son, so needed options and flexibility. It fitted our budget and the accomodations booked were of the boutique style standard we expressed. All ran to plan. The Vamoos app was helpful at hand and our ground agent Heritage available via whatsapp easily.Our local driver Thilak was incredible and added so much more than we could have imagined by being our eyes, ears and translator, encouraging us to immerse ourselves into the food and culture before us. Tailoring boutique hotels and not ones out of an agents brochure was important and Rickshaw did us proud.

First class holiday planning and support. All the agents we spoke to were knowledgeable and helpful. The itinerary suggested was flexed in line with our requests and the hotels and activities recommended were perfect for our family. Who knew a visit to the hot springs could be so much fun!

Our trip was totally tailored to our requirements and budget. There was no pressure to spend more, and I really feel we got excellent value for money. Our advisor considered our family make up and tailored to everyone's needs, putting together the perfect trip. Once we were in country, we had excellent local support and all of our trips/transfers etc ran exactly to plan.

Contrary to the reply from Gemma at Rickshaw, she did not reply to my questions, she cancelled a booking that I had asked her to switch to another day, she did not make it clear when she had made changes e.g. to our flights - changing one from one stopover to two stop overs - and much more besides.
Her reply is disingenuous and is subtly insinuating that we were the problem and not her. We were paying for a service that was just not professionally delivered. I spent 3 sleepless nights fretting over the lack of information and mistakes made by Gemma. Eventually, things were sorted out by Ceri

Wow! We had an amazing holiday in Thailand which was perfect. Every transfer, hotel and trip was seamless. There were no issues so travelling with our 3 children to give them a real travelling experience without any hassle was stress free. Everyone had a brilliant time. A great way to have an adventure with a bit of support but without having to go with a group

We have recently returned from a 3.5 week holiday across Indonesia booked with Rickshaw Travels. The holiday was amazing, included all of the activities we wanted and was superbly well organised. We had seamless transfers between all the different hotels, and the guides that were booked for us were knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a great mix of nature, culture and geographical bits in our itinerary and covered a lot of ground. All of this was managed well through Rickshaw and their subsidiary Happy Trails. Communication with Rickshaw and then, during the trip, with Happy Trails was prompt with any query answered quickly. Overall the standard of hotels was excellent too with large rooms, air conditioning and friendly staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both companies.

Our trip to Peru was happily adjusted several times in the planning, nothing was too much trouble the flexibility of our planning was great. We checked the itinerary and the few unclear details were explained, updated and fully itemised for our peace of mind. Our 28 day trip in Peru was AMAZING and FLAWLESS, full marks to Rickshaw travel and their local agents in Peru. We were always met at airports, bus and train stations without delay ( even when the overnight coach was 45 minutes early the courier was waiting for us) and all local transports were quality vehicles, serviced and immaculately clean. We will certainly use Rickshaw for our next big trip, Thanks for making our holiday so easy.

I've just returned from 2 weeks in Costa Rica with my family and we had a brilliant time. Kelly from Rickshaw Travel organised everything and it all ran like clockwork. She tweaked the itinerary to suit us and the hotels and excursions were all first class. The country is amazing and the self drive option was easy and gave us the freedom to choose our route and stop when we saw something we wanted to see or eat! The guides see things I could never see and their ability to get close ups of tree frogs in the dark means your left with pictures that people think are AI generated! All in all a great trip and I'd highly recommend Rickshaw Travel and will use them again for our next adventure.

We have had 2 fantastic holidays with Rickshaw Travel. The first to Indonesia, where Miles planned our month travelling around and arranged some fantastic memories.
The second, we've just come back from, was Sri Lanka and we had David planning our most magical holiday. David was so patient with us, as we kept changing the holiday itinerary, which was complicated as one family member was coming from Australia. Thank you so much to Rickshaw for giving my family wonderful memories to be treasured. We will definitely be using them again.

We’ve just returned from a two week trip to Vietnam put together by Rickshaw Travel. A pretty much flawless experience from start to finish. Rickshaw were so easy to deal with when organising our trip. They put together a great itinerary for us and were very quick to respond to any queries we had. The trip itself was absolutely superb and well-thought through. We got to experience the bustle and buzz of Hanoi and Hue but also had some more rural experiences in Nimh Binh and Phong Nha. The opportunity to relax a little more at a beautiful beach resort in Hoi An rounded things off nicely. The quality of accommodation throughout was really good and better than I’d anticipated. Transfers between locations were always seamless and stress-free. The local guides who we spent time with at various stages were an absolute highlight- so friendly, welcoming and informative, they really added to the experience. Shout out to Mr Tom, Mr Strong and Mr Minh!! I’d unhesitatingly use Rickshaw Travel for future trips. Thanks for providing us with a wonderful family experience!

Great, friendly, personalised advice, lots of patience and good communications around booking to really help us get a trip to work for us. Then when we had delays due to our outward flights, Rickshaw sorted everything out so we could still do key elements of our trip despite losing a day.

It was a very well-planned tour and everything ran smoothly once we were out there. The holiday of a lifetime for the whole family, we loved it.

I recently used Rickshaw travel to book a family adventure holiday to Brazil. I chose Rickshaw because of the value for money and previous reviews. They did not disappoint! I had a personalised agent who was always accessible and had great knowledge that ensured we got the most out of our holiday. The itinerary was tailored to my family's characteristics and was absolutely amazing. The trip was excellent value for money. I received a fabulous day by day guide to the holiday and with a great app that had all the details on too (including energy numbers) self guiding the tour was as easy as 1-2-3. The support before during and after was fantastic. Rickshaw Travel gave my family a real trip of a life time. I will be back to use them again and highly recommend them.

We organised a 2 week Greek Cyclades island hopping trip via Rickshaw Travel. They tailored the trip to our needs and everything was organised for us which took the strain out of us doing it all ourselves. We had a great time and highly recommend using them. They are friendly and knowledgeable and kept us up to date throughout the booking process and prior to our departure.
We especially liked the fact that they supported local businesses for our accommodation and excursions.

These experiences and accommodation were excellent however the booking of the car hire was problematic.Fortunately I stuck to my guns and didn’t pay the extras that were asked for.
