BEWARE AND HOT TIP!
This review is based on two purchases from this company. Unfortunately, I only found the large number of negative Google reviews after I had already purchased. I wish I'd read them first.
My first purchase was a table that I loved. At the time of purchase, I was told it would take 6–8 weeks to arrive in stock, which I was completely fine with. After that period had passed, I received an email saying it had shipped and would arrive within 5–10 business days.
After a lot of chasing and follow-up with both the shipping company and RJ Living, the table finally arrived a month later. While the quality was excellent, the entire process was frustrating. Neither RJ Living nor the shipping company could provide a clear delivery date, and I spent far too much time trying to find out where it was.
I put it down to bad luck.
Later, I saw a rug I liked on sale. It was listed as IN STOCK and the website stated it would ship within 7–10 business days, so I felt reasonably confident purchasing it.
Shortly after buying, I noticed the shipping timeframe had changed. I emailed customer service to confirm whether it was actually in stock. I was then told it was not in the warehouse and would be arriving soon.
I repeatedly asked for a firm delivery date but was told they couldn't provide one because the item hadn't even arrived at their warehouse. After several emails back and forth, I requested a refund because I no longer felt confident the rug would arrive within a reasonable timeframe.
In one of the emails, customer service acknowledged that the item wasn't actually in stock and also advised that delivery could take up to three more weeks. I declined and asked for my money back. To their credit, they processed the refund and even offered store credit worth 110% of my purchase value. However, by that stage I had lost confidence in the process and chose not to proceed.
My issue isn't long lead times. I've happily waited 12 weeks or more for furniture from other companies. My issue is transparency. If an item isn't in stock, I'd rather be told upfront than discover it after I've paid.
The table I received is beautiful and the quality is excellent. However, based on my experiences, I wouldn't purchase from them again. Honest communication about stock availability and delivery timeframes matters, and unfortunately I didn't feel I received that.

Beautiful samples were sent reasonably quickly. Now to make my mind up

Sales staff very helpful and nothing was to much trouble selecting the right colour rug for my space.
Love the rug the terracotta is perfect colour and feel.

Great piece of furniture and customer service

The Addy lounge is not only beautiful looking but extremely comfortable as well. The sale staff in store were incredible helpful. And the couiers were professional and efficient. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely buy from them again.

Beautiful, a real statement piece.

Great quality, and a lovely cut of marble. I'd highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a touch of marble to add to their home.

Beautiful couch piece that we added to 2 smaller berg pieces purchased 2 years ago. Easy to clean, colours well represented in photos. Couch is very firm to begin with but does become softer and more comfortable overtime without compromising its integrity.
Customer service didn’t update on delivery date after purchase (which was months) however we know this about the brand and closer to delivery they reach out.

Natalie at the Hawthorn showroom was such a good help, I went in for a quote on a few pieces then a couple months later went back in for another quote on more items and she remembered my face! Was so friendly and helpful

I love my turn side table. Great size and it’s a solid oak beautiful piece and the easiest piece of furniture I’ve ever assembled. Pickup of item was seamless & customer service was fantastic too

Still waiting for a delivery paid in full in November last year. The product sat in delivery dispatch for 3 weeks over Christmas with various reasons why it could not be delivered. When it finally arrived at end of January the label on the box was correct and in line with the order but on unpacking it was a completely different colour to the order. On contacting RJLiving we were promised a pickup and delivery of correct product at end of April. Still waiting and have now been told mid June. So disappointed….
Two weeks later
Success (shame it took a grumble on Trustpilot though)! RJ organised a delivery from Melbourne which was very appreciated. Finally have my new tables in correct colour. Thank you. I do love them. So nice to receive them before they went out of fashion.
However, the whole experience will mean I probably won’t buy anything from them again. Thanks to those who helped sort this unfortunate scenario.
