I’m sorry to have to write this review as it is in no way a reflection of the team at Charles Street.
After a convenient storage period for my small, self employed business I was hit with an almost 50% price hire to stay on after year one!
Absolutely unaffordable for me and most small businesses in this day and age.
No loyalty from the big conglomerate despite being a regular customer.
No idea why Safestore don’t like long term customers, but will assume that they can make more money from students and people fleeting in and out.
These units are so expensive over the going rate!
I’ve found very similar storage for nearly half the price!
I will finish by saying the one good thing were the staff. I got to know them by name Sean, Fiona and Carys.
All so lovely and bright and positive.
Safestore, you have a great team - get your pricing sorted!

In relation to pricing, your storage unit was taken on a promotional “lowest price” offer, which provided a significantly reduced rate for an initial period. As outlined at move-in and in subsequent communications, this offer is time-limited and reverts to the standard rate once the promotional period ends. We understand that changes in pricing can impact decisions, particularly for small businesses, and our team is always happy to discuss options where possible. Our pricing structure is designed to remain competitive within the local market while offering flexibility for customers to move in and out as their needs change. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best moving forward.
