The full price was £142.75 (including pod protect) for 70sq ft, but directly with the storage facility it was £67.79 (including protection up to £5000).
The full price was £142.75 but then I was given 50% off for the first 2 months (only off the storage, not the pod protect). So in total, that worked out £90 a month with Easy Storage.
But it doesn't make sense really does it, when the discounted price is still excessively more, than going directly with the storage provider?
On top of that, when I wanted to move my storage directly with the storage provider, I was told over the phone that my storage would go up to the 23rd of April, and the guy over the phone booked in for me to collect my storage on around 8th April - even though I was not collecting my belongings. Then afterwards I find out my storage end date was moved to the 8th?? That is not what was agreed and not I am paying double for 8th -23rd April.
The CEO isn't very professional in their conduct, and has a rather blasé attitude. So no, I would not recommend Easy Storage to anyone. I doubt my review will be the last 2 star review they receive.
Unfortunately, I feel this will now be a long drawn out process of trying to get my money back from the 8th - 23rd April.

Avoid Easy Storage at all costs.
My pod was wrongly labelled and initially “lost,” with no apology or accountability. Even worse, there were no staff on site at a storage facility, which is completely unacceptable. I was left without any support and ultimately forced to leave with my pod open and unsealed, putting my belongings at risk of theft.
James (area director for Brighton) was aggressive, falsely claimed he was the CEO, and called me a liar. The complaints process is just as bad. They refused to take a verbal complaint and insisted on a non-editable PDF form, which feels deliberately obstructive and not in line with the Equality Act or accessible complaint handling.
Escalating to the CEO was pointless. He was rude, dismissive, showed no empathy, failed to investigate properly, ignored key issues, and unbelievably told me to deal with James; the person I was complaining about.
He also explicitly stated they are not part of a trade association, which I later confirmed is false after seeking advice and contacting Trading Standards. I was informed they are associated with the Self Storage Association (CSTA), raising serious concerns about honesty from the CEO.
I moved to another provider as I could no longer trust this company, and have since been told they regularly take on customers leaving Easy Storage due to similar problems.
Dishonest, unprofessional, and zero accountability. Do not use.

It was fabulous that the house could be packed up in stages prior to the moving date, it meant that there was time to be organised and create space for further packing. I heartily recommend this process. Communication was excellent and the organisation couldn’t have been better handled. We’re very grateful.

Since writing this review I was contacted by the franchise director Cheong. He was very apologetic that this was my first experience today and I met him at the site today. He could not have been more helpful. So, I have now given four stars instead of the original 1. You don’t know if something is good or bad until it goes wrong. Maybe too much tech for this old fashioned person. Thanks again Cheong
I wanted to give this a 5. I turned up today at the storage site with a car full of stuff. The app for the gate and the lock worked perfectly. Drove home for a second load, got to the site. The lock didn’t load on the unlock tab on the app. Rang the LockVue number, got AI assistant, no help whatsoever. Rang the Easystorage number, exactly the same. Sent emails. Went onto the websites, used their contacts, all while stuck at the site in the freezing cold, waiting for someone to get back to me. Then when I had lost over half an hour waiting, that cost me another car load, the app froze at the opening the gate. I was panic stricken. Eventually after logging in, out, repeat, it opened. I wanted to be able to use this on my own but my confidence is now so low I will be cancelling my contract as soon as. Your customer services on a Sunday are non-existent. Really gutted.

I cannot recommend Easy Storage highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, but what truly set them apart was the incredible staff.
Bradley and Daniel were absolutely brilliant. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled perfectly. Not only were they professional and efficient, but they were also incredibly polite and friendly, which made all the difference.
Communication was top notch. they kept me in the loop every step of the way, so I never had to wonder what was happening. It is rare to find such genuine, "over the top" customer service these days.
If you're looking for a storage solution where you and your belongings are treated with respect, look no further. Huge thanks to Bradley and Daniel for making this such a positive experience, I really appreciate it x

BEWARE — do NOT trust this company with anything you value.
My elderly father was seriously ill in hospital and unable to make a payment, so I called to explain the situation and offer to make a payment????? To take over the account?????? TO BE TOLD they had already thrown away my late mother’s belongings. Not junk. Not rubbish. Personal, irreplaceable, deeply sentimental items that can NEVER be replaced.
What makes this even worse is the blatant dishonesty. One staff member told me the items were still there days earlier, yet today I am told they were “skipped” over New Year. So which is it? The stories don’t add up, and it is so clearly painfully obvious something is not right.
The lack of empathy is disgusting. The attitude from staff on the phone? Rude, dismissive, and completely unapologetic. No compassion, no accountability, just sheer utter arrogance.
You haven’t just “cleared a unit” you have destroyed memories that meant everything to a grieving family. That’s something you can’t fix, replace, or justify.
I will be taking this further and making sure people know exactly how you treat your customers. Absolutely appalling behaviour

In the event the whole moved worked like clockwork. By the time I reached the storage unit the guys were leaving, having unloaded the cargo. They dealt with access using a keypad, locked the unit and handed the key to my brother who went to the unit to make sure everything was ok. A brilliant service and must mention Chloe who brought all of the aspects together brilliantly and, importantly to me, unflappable and pleasantly.
Thoroughly recommend.

I recently used EasyStorage for the collection, storage and return of my belongings.
Unfortunately a number of items were returned damaged and several items were missing when my belongings were delivered back to me. At the time of collection, no damage to the items was recorded by the removal team.
I have since had to submit an insurance claim for the damaged and missing items, which is currently being assessed.
In addition to the claim itself, I have raised concerns about the overall quality of the service provided and the handling of my belongings during storage.
I am hopeful the matter can still be resolved properly, but based on my experience I would advise others to carefully document their items and condition before using the service.

I had a fantastic experience with Easy Storage in Newcastle! A huge shoutout to Sean, Dom, and Joe, who made the whole process incredibly smooth. Moving and storing things can usually be pretty stressful, but these guys were so helpful and friendly from start to finish. They went out of their way to make sure everything was handled properly and really took the hassle out of my day. It’s rare to find such a great team, I highly recommend asking for them if you need storage in the Newcastle area.

After an initial positive experience with the collection of my first pod in Ayrshire, I took out a second storage pod because it appeared to be a cost-effective option due to the way in which the website presents return charges.
When I entered the postcode for returning my existing pod to London, it showed a flat £249. I also confirmed with a member of staff that if I took out a second pod, both could be returned to London for a single fixed fee, rather than incurring two separate fees.
On that basis, I paid for and arranged for the rest of my belongings, day-to-day items kept with me at my temporary accommodation, to be collected so everything could be delivered together the following week.
But once I had the keys for my new address and entered the flat number, the price suddenly jumped from £249 to £2,700.84. Nothing on the site indicated that the cost would increase so dramatically.
Another staff member confirmed that easyStorage would charge an excessive amount to deliver my items to London and advised me to use a removals firm or move everything myself, which I ultimately had to do but could not arrange for another few weeks.
This left me in London for weeks with only a week’s worth of clothes and no access to essential items still in storage in Scotland. I also ended up paying for a pod and storage I would never have taken out had the website been upfront about the real cost of returning pods from Scotland to London.
The move was already stressful for reasons unrelated to easyStorage, but this added an entirely avoidable layer of anxiety and inconvenience. Had the true cost been clear, I would never have taken out the second pod. I would have kept the items with me and moved them myself at the same time as collecting the contents of my other pod.
Every staff member I dealt with was polite and easy to speak to, but none of them have acknowledged my complaint about this since I raised it in November.

"Our records show that return mileage charges were outlined during the first booking"
And I cannot see it in the screenshots I included in my email to your colleagues about this.
Please tell me where and when I would have been alerted to the additional mileage cost before using the dropdown to select my flat at the postcode.
