I have been seeing Dr Gerlis at SameDayDoctor for over 35 years, and I can honestly say he is one of the most exceptional doctors I have ever come across. His knowledge, experience, and calm, reassuring manner make every consultation feel effortless. What sets him apart is the combination of excellent medical judgement, genuine care for his patients, and the feeling that you are being listened to and understood.
Over the years he has consistently given me the best advice, guided me through every health concern with clarity and confidence, and always found the right solution — quickly. Always a Great Service
Always a cheerful, professional "can do" greeting from Reception compared with other HealthCare providers. The Doctors I have encountered (most recently Dr Temimi and Dr Gerlis) have been thorough, charming, very experienced and exactly right in their diagnosis and treatment. Expensive, but it is Central London, top class private healthcare, seen promptly and overall still Value For Money.

My visit to Same Day Doctor was exemplary. From reception through to my consultation with Dr. Luke Oates, the experience was efficient, considerate, and grounded in clear clinical reasoning. Dr. Oates listened closely, communicated with precision, and provided a structured plan that removed uncertainty. He kept me fully informed as results came through and demonstrated a level of diligence that exceeded expectations.
My previous encounters with private clinics in London were marked by unnecessary testing and unclear justification for costs. This clinic operated differently. Every step was explained thoroughly, with evidence-based rationale and no attempts to escalate interventions without cause. I arrived anxious and left steady, informed, and confident in the care I received.

Parents, be very careful – especially with the Canary Wharf branch
I took my daughter to this clinic for help and expected professional, caring medical support. Instead, the doctor made a referral to social services without properly discussing or understanding our situation. This caused unnecessary stress for me and my family at a time when we were already worried about my daughter’s health.
I feel that this action was completely inappropriate and showed a lack of empathy and communication. Parents should be aware that this clinic, may not handle sensitive family situations with the care and discretion expected from a private GP service.
I would never use this clinic again and cannot recommend it to other families.

Our clinical team acted promptly and appropriately to provide emergency treatment and care.
We understand that safeguarding processes can sometimes feel distressing, but we are legally required to share concerns with the appropriate authorities when a child’s safety may be compromised. This is never done lightly, and always in the best interests of the patient.

Really fantastic service
Really fantastic service. Dr Burton was careful, empathetic and skilful. Her diagnosis was spot on and she gave me the right meds which made me feel human again. Also, being able to see a doctor so speedily is so helpful and unique. Highly recommend!
