I absolutely love Satsuma

I absolutely love Satsuma. It was a bit worrying to buy first time as we never know what to expect. The range is amazing, the service is brilliant. I have to return some purchases as they did not look great on me. There was no problem with refund at all. I highly recommend it. Just give it a go and you won’t be disappointed. That is guaranteed!

Dear Malcolm Lemay CEO for provident and satsuma

This is a formal complaint about satsuma complaint department from today 18 march 2021 also against Beth too feel the investigation not done correctly also not contact me in response to this and taken one side and not looked at also sticking up for staff too and no out come in a correct manner also dissemination possible also in regards to my mental health problems .

I first sending this email because the support and help from your complaints team extremely shocking and level of help Unacceptable .

It seems very much to me that all stick together in the same pot !!!! Please do accused my speech !!!!

I want someone senior from you team to contact me no wound satsuma got one of worse bad service and experience is a disgusting !!!!!!!!!!

I hope you are proud of yourself for the way your staff treat people and stick up for the other members too !!!!!!!

Like I want one of your members of team because satsuma don't care about customer how they treat people like me .

Also I asked for someone to call me not just send a response in like 2 days very rushed and not even given me the chance to speak at all !!!!!!

Quiet clearly this how you expect to be treated like ?

Please do get someone to call me back about also I would like you to comment on if you feel this ok ?

I urgently advise no one to use Satsuma loans you will regret it and they treat people with health problems specific mental health different and stick up for the staff on question when they are raising there voice at customer also they don't investigation things too in a wright manner and keep you waiting on hold !!!!!!!!!!!!

The FCA should investigate this company it really bad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the worst companies l have dealt…

One of the worst companies l have dealt with. Their lending is so very irresponsible without the appropriate checks before approving loan applications. Interest is continually being added to the balance amount making it hard to settle accounts. I raised an affordability complaint with them a few weeks ago and am still awaiting a final response.

Bankruptcy soon sour Satsuma!

Like many payday lenders this one also will go bust soon with thousands upon thousands of complaints against them. How they have managed to survive this far only God knows but I can assure you they will be in administration soon just like the other similar payday lending companies. You can only ignore and lend irresponsibly for so long and with the amount of complaints against them via the FOS they will go bust soon and that will be more worthy to me than a refund. I might loose a few hundred but they will loose millions in redress claims. That will be a good day when it comes very soon. Get your act together satsuma or else you will find yourself on the same bankrupt list like many other that operated in the same way you did and continue to do. Good luck! You will need it.

Absolute joke. FOS got touch with these guys back in May with regards to an affordability complaint. They still haven't had the decency to response.

Submitted an affordability claim now past the 8 weeks allotted timescales. Generic email only to say they need longer time. Very frustrating when other large companies seem to be meeting deadlines even in the current climate. Appear to be dragging their feet and forcing people to FOS where high proportion of claims are then being upheld. Very disappointing for a large company. I’d stay clear and use someone else

A third party of satsuma called my money insight took 3x 5.99 out of my account and I Phoned my bank fraud team and ask them what it is they explained to me how it work and when I phone satsuma up they say they don't do thing like that and refuse to give the money back

Had a case with FOS

Had a case with FOS, company slowed it every way possible, case upheld. now they stating their no way I will receive my refund within the 28days. Advisor who work their are rude and refused to put me through to complaints department, moving my account into arrears when it should
Be cleared and rest funded. unprofessional company.

Affordability claim

Sent an affordability in November 2018, Satsuma rejected it (2 weeks past the deadline), sent to FCA in Jan 2019, adjudicator upheld in my favour £2100+ interest, Satsuma given until the 3/9 to respond but they can't be bothered to reply... classic stalling tactics until they go bust IMO, sending to Ombudsmen in 1 week to... will be a year until this is sorted .. yet they hassled me for payment if i was 1 hour late!!!!

After complaining to Satsuma about their irresponsible lending, they did not uphold my complaint and I sent it to the FOS to look at.

The FO upheld my complaint and have asked satsuma to repay the interest to myself. Now waiting for satsuma to respond to this. I will update my review when they respond but I can imagine it’s going to take a while judging my other reviews. Payday lending is supposed to be for short term only but these companies are not abiding by this and continuously trap people in a cycle of debt. If you feel this is you, complain now!

Having sent my complaint on the 1st of May, and with the company having 8weeks to reply to it, they still have not.
It is now 12 weeks and no response, despite them having multiple extensions. Also despite them not sending me the documentation I requested
I will now go to the FOS

I have just contacted Satsuma to repay…Avoid at all costs

I have just contacted Satsuma to repay my loan early, prior to my first payment on what was originally going to be a 10 month loan. They charge you interest on the period you have held the loan (fair enough) but then charge you for a further 29 days interest even though you are paying there and then. Absolutely shocking practice as they are charging for a extra months service you don’t have, need, want or require! If you look on there home page it states that other loan companies charge unnecessary fees when closing a loan early but they do not. Don’t use this company as there are many other loan providers out there that provide a far superior service with less fees including - Piggyback, Myjar, Sunny, Unclebuck, Mrlender and lending stream to name just a few. ABSOLUTELY SHAMBOLIC BUSINESS PRACTICE and confident they will be the next Wonga! I suggest get your claims in quick.

Charges all the interest upfront…

Charges all the interest upfront doesn’t accept partial repayment to save yourself some money and can’t change or update bank details or card details but will moan when you miss repayment even tho they won’t take new card details

Currently awaiting a refund from.satsuma following an affordability complaint that went to the FOS and was found in my favour the refund was agreed between both parties on 19.12.18 they told me a week ago the cheque was in the post, yet another lie. This company's communication and honesty is beyond poor I have to say out of all short term loan companies I have used this is the worst. One person doesn't know what the other is doing I would avoid at all costs I will be putting a further complaint in to the FOS for dishonesty hoping that it gives the FOS more ammunition for future complaints they will indefinitely receive... emailed them the other day they emailed back automated response....they would always get back to me in 48 hours ... 72 hours and still waiting...
