I experienced outstanding service from the team at the Tonbridge branch of Scrivens.

I had a free hearing test on 23rd April with audiologist, Harry, who examined my ears and conducted a technical test of both ears. He showed me a graph of my hearing for each ear. Both ears showed a lack of hearing at higher frequencies which I understand is fairly common with people of my age - 80 at my next birthday.

Harry then contacted my GP and obtained approval for a hearing aid for both ears to be covered by the NHS and arranged an appointment for me to have these fitted on the 8th May. He fitted the hearing aids and checked they were working correctly.

He then introduced me to Claire who showed me how to fit the hearing aids as well as how to identify the right from the left, turn the devices on and off, replace the batteries and clean the hearing aids etc. I was not rushed and was given plenty of time to ensure I could confidently carry out all of the operations as well as how to install an app on my phone to assist in their day-to-day use. I left with the hearing aids, a six-month supply of batteries, and a pouch to keep them in. I was told that if I was to experience any problems, to just pop into the store and ask.

I felt the benefit as soon as I got into my car: I could hear the indicators notification at a much-improved volume than previously. I also feel the benefit when watching the television at home with the volume set four notches lower but actually hearing more - no need for sub-titles anymore! It is also much easier to have a conversation with friends in a pub when there is a lot of extraneous background noise.

These hearing aids are extremely beneficial as well as being comfortable. After a few days I can now fit the aids without using a mirror.

I would like to thank Harry, Claire and Tom for their kind, and outstanding welcome and service which has significantly improved my hearing with hearing aids that are comfortable as well as fairly discreet.

Had an appointment at scrivens opticians in mildenhall this afternoon, and wow, what a fantastic reception upon entering by the 2 lovely ladies Michelle and Sarah, both absolutely lovely, very friendly and 100 % + professional. I honestly felt i could've sat down and enjoyed a coffee with both of them. I would highly recommend this branch of scrivens to anyone needing an eye test. BEST EYE TEST IVE EVER HAD given by a FANTASTIC TEAM. THANKYOU.

My elderly mother purchased private hearing aids from SCRIVENS last year. She has since had to move into a care home.
Following receipt of an aftercare request letter, the local branch advised me to call the main office to arrange a home visit.
The main office then tells me this is not a service they offer.
Not always something you would think of when purchasing hearing aids, but a definite warning that should circumstances change, SCRIVENS do not offer any support.
Very disappointing considering the amount of money spent.

This company provides an excellent up to date professional service for hearing aids. More importantly it also provides the most amazing caring staff; Claire, Tom and Harry.

It is very unusual in these days that you find people whom you feel actually care about you and your needs. These three staff in Tonbridge are an absolute credit to Scrivens.

Great service friendly and knowledgeable

Was seen quickly without an appointment. Receptionist and audiologist were both very reassuring and explained what they could do. Audiologist told me the condition of my ears and offered to remove some wax which he did.I was very relieved when he told me all was well. Would definitely go back again.

I attended my eye test at Shrivens Newmarket. This was a pleasant experience. The staff were very attentive during my appointment. They were very patient and explained clearly my options.

Went to scrivens at Kitts Green, all members of staff were amazing, my son has just been registered blind and the staff gave him extra time and support, we were able to order frames in so we could look at them, what an excellent service this was, would 100% recommend Scrivens and all the staff.
