Bought and Paid for a SecureSpend Card at Dollar General, put on $100.
Went to use the card and it was empty. Said the money was spent on multiple transactions at playstation.com.. tried to use phone service, until secure spend blocked my phone number, they said my number could not be serviced at this time. And the webpage wouldnt allow me to log in with card info. It said a system error has occured and try again later. So either the card was hacked, or it seems the company is frauding me. Im inclined to believe the company itself is a scam.

I bought this in urgency from Walmart. 350$
Try to use in different place. It’s declined again And again
I checked online there’s two transactions history once 50$
And second one is 300$
I never share my card information to anyone
How come in one shot 350$ disappears.
And interesting thing is. I’m in Tx and card used in NJ poker club.

I try to call customer care and there is no way to contact. I file dispute and it’s saying expected date 6 July. I mean seriously?

Just purchased secure spend Visa card. Tried to use the card and it won’t let me. I looked into this and I’m not able to use this card outside of the United States. It seems that Amazon, hp, etc everything that I purchased this card for will not work. I’m not certain where I can use this useless card at. Why would a merchant do this. I’ve never had an issue with using any prepaid card before when I’m on these sites. How ridiculous. Really need to read the small print of these cards and check their reviews first. So far vanilla and secure spend are crap. Think I’m gonna go to Walmart and start loading money onto a Walmart card. Then I know it will work

Securespend is a scam , I wish I read reviews before purchasing . I purchased a $500 gift card , I only used $2.07 and then I reported the unauthorized transaction which was refunded back to a new gift card. I only spent $52 and $444 were gone again with unauthorized transaction.Now I only want to get my refund in paper check because I don't trust this scammers anymore. Stop purchasing this gift card, keep your money

I purchase this card and it was hacked that night with an online gambling purchase for almost the total amount of the card. I called to alert the company right away for the unauthorized purchase. They took my information to report a fraud case. The online portal says it will be resolved in two months. Totally Unacceptable!!!!! I want my money back as I am traveling and that was my cash. The online website is always crashing and to customer phone lines are down or say the card number is incorrect again and again. Total scam product and not sure how it can be associated with VISA name. I suggest the company issues a pin to card purchaser to verify/ authorize purchases. Will be filing a complaint with the Better Business bureau next.

They don't work in any website, they are advertised as ready to use in most websites but they aren't, all transactions get declined and when you call customer service they only say that is due to security reasons that happens, they don't offer any solution just to try it somewhere else even though they aren't sure it'll work.

I give this a zero but had to give it a 1 to write my review. You people have scammed tons of people out of money including me. As the others said I put money on the card kept trying to use it and kept declining it. Finally accepted less than a dollar transaction and when I tried using it again declined declined declined. If you call the 01 833 number on the back of the card it gives you the run around. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CARD SCAM SCAM SCAM

TL;DR - This company is a total scam and should be avoided at all costs.

If I could rate this 0 stars, then I would have done so instantly.

For a bit of context, I was gifted this card on my birthday by my sister & her boyfriend. When I tried to make a purchase online, it rejected. I then double-checked that I put everything in correctly, only to find out it still rejected. The payment itself was about 20$, and the card had 50$ loaded into it, so it should have gone through, right? WRONG. Apparently, for whatever unknown reason, it still refused to go through despite my best efforts.

After reading through other reviews, as well as searching for help online, I come to find out: THIS IS TOTAL BS AND A SCAM. I was considering calling their customer support line for help, but was dissuaded by other reviews and posts made online complaining that customer support got absolutely nowhere. Any videos/blogs regarding any potential issues were either AI-generated, or utterly useless, as a site literally PRETENDING to be SecureSpend themselves (oh but they have a disclaimer at the bottom so legally they cant get sued!!!) tried redirecting me to a part of the actual SecureSpend website that DOES NOT EXIST.

In the future, I will 100% alert my sister and family members about this scummy company and to avoid ever buying another prepaid card from them, as $50 has effectively gone down the drain with seemingly no way to recover said money or spend it.

To anyone considering buying one of these cards: DON'T. GO THE OTHER WAY AND RUN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. I genuinely hope you have enough braincells to realize that this is a total scam and any attempts at resolving your problems are futile and could give you anger issues later down the line by dealing with the most insufferable company and insufferable website on this planet. Find a different prepaid card company, or better yet: just directly get a gift card for the website you want to spend it on.

I had a terrible experience that feels like a scam, and I am considering legal action. I purchased a $350 gift card at Walgreens (Secure Spend). Within one minute of buying the card, the funds became ineligible and were frozen. How is it possible for a gift card to be frozen?

I called the number on the back of the card, but the service was unprofessional. I was informed that the line was recorded, and I had to confirm my zip code and full name ten times. After ten business days, I was told that the card had been returned due to an incorrect zip code. How could they know it was returned, and how was I supposed to provide a prepared answer?

Now, after a month of waiting, I am still without my funds and am preparing to take legal action.

I brought a card at walmart canada and put $500.
The receipt indicates that it is activated. When trying to use it, it say invalid card. Call company, they say I will need to wait 30 days. I have sent the card info and receipt to company. Called them to speak to a manger, since their supervisor giving me a around. They won't let me speak to anybody besides a supervisor. They just hang up.

I bought a card and they "locked it" because I tried to shop online and the charged did not go through. I called and foreigners kept acting like they couldn't just take the hold off (like all other banks do) and they needed my information (full name and address). I explained that I didn't want to give that information out and the whole reason for buying prepaid cards is to protect information. They threatened to keep my money if I didn't give them the information they demanded. This is theft and stupid. You can clearly unlock an account if you can lock one. These companies are just trying to bully everyone into giving up their data and its sick.
