Drawer microwave door glass is discolored

My drawer microwave door glass is discolored. Sharp refuses to repair, claiming liquid must have spilled between the glass cover and the door panel, which is customer misuse. If it is even POSSIBLE for liquid to spill BEHIND the glass door of a DRAWER microwave, that is by definition a defect. The glass should be sealed to the door to prevent this. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE only there to offer a "GREAT" and expensive insurance plan.

Sharp Microwave

I have reached out to SHARP MULTIPLE TIMES. I can tell you that the service department is aware of this issue with their microwaves. I had my microwave installed after 8 months due to the renovations. Once installed it worked great for at least 9 months. I have unplugged THE SHARP microwave for two days to reset, It did not work. I have spoken to SHARP for months with hoping they would send me the part needed. Unfortunately, SHARP will not send the part to be replaced. I regret ever spending the money on this appliance. THESE MAY LOOK LIKE QUALITY APPLIANCES, BUT THEY ARE FAR FROM IT. AVOID this type of microwave from Sharp. They will leave a reply regarding this post just to be seen as they are going to fix the issue…..THEY ARE NOT!

Update March 11, 2026
They called and offered $340 to extend the warranty and fixed the microwave and they did. That was on November 19, 2025 the technician came out on December 01, 2025.
Now…..
March 06, 2026
Sharp Microwave stopped working with the same issue. Had a few emails back and forth with Sharp. The warranty had expired beginning of March missed it by a few days. I was told to fix it again would be $400 and to purchase a new one with a discount would be around $1200. Let’s just say AVOID and DO NOT BUY ANY SHARP products….

Sharp are being dragged down by their repair agent

I wish I’d read these reviews before I purchased our shop dishwasher, if anything goes wrong contact the retailer not the repair agent, I ended up with an exchange after a whole month of hassle, engineer came out made the problem worse, booked for a day I told him I couldn’t do move from that day for them to move it back to the day I couldn’t do, it’s in Pacifica I deliberately trying to put sharpen into disrepute and ruin the UK business they said engineers that are not showing, the problems with parts getting them. I actually have the part but the engineers just keep not turning up because they haven’t got the part. They won’t listen. You get the retail to organise a call for a morning like schedule it for the evening, such a shame because Shar could have a decent business if it wasn’t for this issue dragging them down. When you book a service call you can’t ask for morning or afternoon. They will only give all day calls. You will then spend days on end wasting time and went impacts your work and remember you work to live, they don’t care. They text you which has a phone number on which goes through to the operations where this and the engineers from, they tell you not to ring that number again very rude. Not doing this for a week after a month of hassle the retailer exchanged the appliance and I paid the difference to get one where they will have their own engineers with run Talk and you can choose morning or afternoon calls. Experience with the 24th of December until the 1st of January, quite stressful.

Non existent support

There should be an option to indicate zero star about my experience with after sales support from Sharp. The heat pump tumble dryer exploded shattering its door into tiny shards after a month of buying. The report to Sharp helpdesk and phone is either stonewalled or batted away. The helpdesk is routed to a company called Pacifica. They lie that they will get back in 7 days. Then they lie they are waiting for a part. Then they lie it must be accidental damage. The complaint email is ignored. The support is non existent.

I purchased a sharp thousand watt…

I purchased a sharp 1000 watt commercial microwave on December 14 when it arrived I opened it and went to go use it and smell like something burning But it was not food. It was wires inside burning in the microwave. so I contact the Sharp customer service and explain the situation they took forever to get back to me and now when they finally did they said they’re not going to replace it well I pay $350 for this microwave and I had to file a complaint with a business to have them give me a refund or replace it so my advice is don’t buy any sharp products. The customer service is terrible. and they do nothing but giving you a runaround. I sent them all my proof of purchase and they lied is a bit of bureau and said I refuse to send anything so this will be an ongoing battle to get a replacement or a refund. They need better customer service people with better people skills.

The worst customer service on

The worst customer service, and support I have ever encountered, I am currently on day eight, after three emails and seven phone calls to simply get support to change the clock from a 24 hour to a 12 hour clock, I get any answer from this is the wrong department to I really don't know how to help you

customer service doesn't work

I have an issue with my 2 months old washing machine. The customer service phone does not transfer my call to the new repair team and shut down after i listen 10 minutes not related information.
Also e-mail address in their web page does not work and returning message that it is not an existing email address.
I wish to return the washing machine and buy different brand.

STAY AWAY

4-15-24] Let me preface this with: my first appliances were SHARP - they were good. Haven't owned SHARPs for a few decades, so now? IDK… I can tell you there are SO MANY issues with this new DW! (bought 4-8-24) Control panel shroud is freeking plastic, not metal. Won't last. DW has minimal control features. Documentation could be MUCH MORE thorough, especially as concerns INSTALLATION. There was NO POWER CORD; NO POWER TWIST-CAPS (for combining wires); NO WATER HOSE; and NO FITTING to change from "standard" inlet hose to the "NEW" LARGE water inlet port. Smaller (in HxW xD) than *ANY* DW we have ever owned. Inside tub area obviously smaller as well. Racks are made much cheesier - using a lot less material than any of our prior DWs. Tine placement in racks are so close to each other as to be restrictive as to what we can even wash - as example, the lower rack DOES NOT accept *ANY* of our bowls - be they soup, salad, cooking, mixing, whatever... only accepts "FLAT" plates, IF they are skinny enough, and most pans (since they can slide over tines), but not all! Silverware rack is a joke and falls over. The flat overhead rack (3rd rack) is a wasted anecdote, so we removed it to have extra top rack (2nd rack) room for the BOWLS we can't put into the bottom rack (rack #1) like we're used to doing. We can only load about 3/4's of what we used to (for the last 40 years!) We noticed if you pack in the dishes, including plates as one normally would, often they won't be cleaned. The washer is not powerful enough - and as mentioned, the tines are TOO-o-o close.

It took me 7.5 hours to DYI install, and listen folks, I am an accomplished design engineer! Electronics/electrical and hardware/mechanical engineering is what I do. The 'install' was a NON-STOP process and I share (sorry) if you may not be 'mechanically inclined', but my guess is you WILL fail at an attempt to install this P>O>S> and give up! I even had to make my own sidewall structures to install the DW - - - in a STANDARD 24" opening BTW! On top of that, they require you to screw the sides of the DW to your kitchen cupboard "structures" using 4 screws (which are WAY too short) through the *inside* of the DW itself - INSTEAD of using "standard" overhead metal braces (ie: 2 are used in "real" DWs - above & outside of the DW door.) Such a bad design - top to bottom.

If I didn't already have all the wood and plumbing adapters and tools required to "make this work", it would have been returned in less than an hour after unboxing. The electrical and water inlet are clear up front at the very bottom front of the unit requiring you to place the DW on it's back to even attach these items. (WRETCHED DESIGN) There are no metal skids (common on well-built DWs). EVERYTHING is plastic, and the plastic tricycle "foot" leveler array is a geometric and balance *failure*... 2 are in front, 1 is in center-back. And... WHY NOT metal?… and 4 of them!… like all 'normal' MFRs use? The feet are flimsy screw up/down types that vibration will make "move/travel/lose position" so I cut appropriate PVC sleeves to place over the leveler shafts to keep them from changing height (turning down) under vibration.

The soap opening is not the "normal" swing down door, it SLIDES down… and gets stuck often; AND too often will not latch shut to even run the DW - the soap door is a TERRIBLE IDEA! Perhaps WORSE: It takes 3+ hours for a wash cycle, even when ensuring the tap water is steaming hot!! This DW literally stops and pauses, and then goes [on] for a bit, and then stops, and then goes… ad infinitum - IT IS A PREPOSTEROUS if not ridiculous operating design.

VERY IMPORTANT TO US, BUT A FRAUDULENT STATEMENT (even in the manual) IS: "The dishwasher is programmed to remember your last cycle so you do not have to reset each time. To start the dishwasher using the same cycle and options selected on the previous wash, simply press the Start/Pause button." - - - NOPE! We spent DAYS running the unit in all operating modes [also trying door open, door shut, started, not started, etc etc etc] to use the "remember" function. Pfft, no way did it work. WARNING: There is absolutely NO "remember" the last wash cycle function!

[Speaking of the overall design:] How did this P>O>S> get out the door to be sold? I'm sorry but I would fire the engineering manager and replace the entire research & development, marketing and design team. Quality USED to mean something - and it still DOES to 'we, the people'! As a product design engineer myself with over 50 years experience, I believe this design *had* to be the end-result of first-year design trainee's... It is just so-o bad, and at so many levels. Cheap is, as cheap does... and we the consumer get bit every time.

There was a lot more to say but trustpilot limits character count. Bottom line is: do not buy.
