I’m writing this review not out of bitterness, but out of a deep concern for other borrowers who, like me, may be drawn in by polished broker promises and fast approvals, only to discover a very different reality once the paperwork is signed.

I approached Shire Leasing Plc through a broker who advertised the loan as “flexible with no early repayment charges.” That phrase was pivotal in my decision. But once the contract arrived, the terms were vague, and the reality was far from what was promised. When I asked for clarification, I was met with conflicting information, a lack of transparency regarding interest rebates and early settlement figures.

What’s most troubling is that Shire Leasing operates in a "grey zone of regulation" - offering loans that may not be fully covered by the protections of the Consumer Credit Act. This means borrowers are left vulnerable, especially when trying to settle early or dispute unfair terms.

Their customer service is inconsistent. Opaque and transactional, not relational or ethical. I believe financial institutions should empower borrowers with clarity, not bury them in fine print and ambiguity.

If you're considering a loan with Shire Leasing, read every clause, get everything in writing, and don’t rely on broker promises. What’s advertised may not reflect what’s enforced.

I share this to protect others from the stress and confusion I’ve endured. Financial decisions should be built on trust - and sadly, that’s not what I found here.

Very good company, but please stay away them if you want to minimize hassle in your life, dont even go closer to the....I wish their success.

we have dealt with shire back and forward for years now Charlie Craddock Lauren Berwick and Amelia in recent deals but all of them have been first class with us as a business, theyve been efficient quick trust worthy and very very helpful we really cant thank them enough for their help over the years and hope to continue that same relationship going forward

Very helpful during initial onboarding and throughout the lease term, especially during a period of upheaval for my business.
There were some initial communication issues but when these were raised the response was quick and Luke went above and beyond to put everything right in a very short timeframe. Very helpful.

I have been paying for a service we do not receive for over 12 months. We do not have the leased equipment anymore and haven't for over a year as it was not fit for purpose. Despite numerous e-mails, calls they are still charging, cost now upwards of £3k for absolutely nothing. Scam or not it is totally unethical. Don't use this company for anything unless you have money just to throw away.
