Was approached about 5 months ago by Sky Blue asking about if I wanted to do some work with schools near me. Never done work in schools before as I’ve only been going a couple of years and just working myself up but thought I’d take a punt and I’ve had 4 jobs already.

I've seen a few of these types of platforms before that specialise in Education but this one works for me the best in terms of set-up, cost and ROI.

I haven't won every quote when approached by Schools but I am at least given reasonable feedback to improve for the next School.

Been with this company for years, I renew because of the tendering service, probably the best I have ever used and a lot cheaper. Also happy to get my name out to local schools.

** update 5 months on and not a single enquiry or relevant tender - I did NOT sign up to join a tendering platform - Sky Blue miss-sell **

I was encouraged to sign up to 'lock out' my seat, in two months I've had no enquiries whatsoever. It's cost £600 to be entered onto some directory, apparently, with zero enquiries. Occasionally I get a bids and tenders alert, for things which have no relevance to my business whatsoever. When I signed up I was told they'd had 5 enquiries for my type of service in the past 6 months, so far nothing has materalised, I've not even had a query. Will not be renewing and will never fall for this again.

We are a small cleaning company based in Cannock and were approached by Sky Blue Education to become a supplier for them covering the WS postcode, I was a little bit wary of the call and decided to ask at one of the schools we were contracted to if they were aware of Sky Blue Education, to my surprise the school did know of Sky Blue Education so I decided to register for 12 months, I have only been with them a few weeks so it’s early days, but the team at Sky Blue Education have been really helpful so far.

This company approached me with a business proposition that directly links to what we do. They wanted agreement and payment immediately which made me suspicious. Checked with my bank they agreed suspicious. Checked details with Companies House, Creditsafe - all the info didn't quite match up to what's on their website. Then I checked Trust Pilot and others had been scammed. Sorry for your experience but appreciate the warning. I let Sky Blue Education know about my findings.

Feel so ashamed that I got sucked into this. First time I've been scammed. However the wonderful people at my bank obviously knew about them and blocked my payment.

They've since sent me a letter threatening the Small Claims Court. Should be fun given what I know now. Would love to hear more about the Police's involvement... and be able to help then with their enquiries.

Sky Blue Education were very convincing. I am a VA and they told me that I could secure my post code in order to receive exclusive enquiries from schools in my area requiring support. I asked a lot of questions and then secured the area.They immediately invoiced me. I have told them not to contact me because they are scamming people but they have now sent me a letter demanding the money. As a previous person has said their companies house profile is laughable. Their mantra about supporting schools for 23 years and e tenders 4 U is disgraceful. I am not sure how they can pusrue me in the courts if they are not legitimate. Interesting. They have been reported and the letter demanding money is in the hands of the police as this is clearly fraud.

These guys are good, they come across as very knowledgeable but don't be fooled. I am now 100% convinced this is a scam. It is a terrible business model to ask your suppliers to pay a one-off fee. Luckily I didn't pay them anything. The company on Companies House has some dodgy things such as they have not been around as long as stated (1999) and the CEO resigned and then joined again in the same month with a slightly different name. What does exist on Companies House is "Sky Blue Purchasing, Developments and Design Limited" which is the same people as Educational Hub and School Supplies Services Limited. You can find lots of scam reviews for these outfits and the business model is the exact same. If you look at them on Companies House you can see they have only made annual returns in the past of £1000 but the last few years they have not made any returns at all.

Look them up on companies house, where you will find the name change document.
