Worst company ever they force u 2 upgrade the service by saying you went over even when you know you are using less internet than before, outages every other day in my area and unfortunately SPARKLIGHT is the only company I’m able to get in my area but as soon I move to a different place they gonna be gone forever remember Sparklight=trash
Absolutely the worst company
Absolutely the worst company! Internet is ALWAYS goung down. Constantly hearing i am sorry when you call in. Speaking to a supervisor is like pulling teeth. Was told tech would be out and i have to wait at my residence from 8 AM to 7 PM for a call of when they willbe here just for them NOT to show up and rescheduled for the nest day at 6:45 PM. I am NEVER late with my payment. But they do not seem to care. I just want the service i am paying for so i can continue to work from home. Horrible Horrible Horrible company!!!
Outages almost every day
Outages almost every day. Sometimes lasting many hours. I'm starting to think that they're not actually outages, but instead the company is just turning off the internet so they can make more money by reducing the data used.
I actually lost my last job because of these outages. I was working remotely, but because the internet outages, the company let me go.
Terrible
Terrible! Worst customer service I’ve ever had. If you want a terrible internet service that won’t work when you need it/ or address why, or compensate for hours on hours of downed service, then this is the doo doo company for you.
Worst Company on the Planet
Worst Company on the Planet. They will literally force you to upgrade your plan. I have proof of this. The only reason they are in business is because they have an illegal monopoly on high speed internet in my area. disgusting company full of cheats and thieves. I had a 700 gb limit plan and went over so I upgraded. magically one year later ( in January when companies are desperate for revenue) I started randomly going over my NOW 1200 GB limit with no changes on my end. I am now planning legal action against them for cheating their customers. Avoid them like the plague!
App very unstable
This app is very unstable. Over an hour it may pause several times. Might even exit to having to open app again or get a screen that says “bebop bee bop something went wrong”. Sound will cut out for a couple seconds. No where near as user friendly as the box. I use Apple TV as my platform. I get 450 mbs cable speed. I get same issues on 2 TV’s; one direct cable connection the other Wi-Fi. I don’t have any of these issues with other apps i.e. Prime, HBO max, Netflix etc. I’m going to try Apple TV which has all but 1 Channel I watch. Sparklight TV app needs serious work. I can’t imagine HBO max releasing such junk as this.
Sparklight needs a facelift
The techs are mostly good but the company leaves a lot to be desired. I've been having trouble with my phone for quite awhile but it takes such a long time to get through to anyone on the phone, I usually give up. I finally made an appt and the window was from 8am-7pm. Really? They have a smaller window for new installs but if you have problems, the window changes. I'm hoping the fix works but I'm not trusting that it will. And the cost for their service with internet and phone only is $149. Higher than any of my other utilities and higher than I was paying in California for more services. And they can't use my own modem?? I really think they're only in it for the money!
Where else you gonna go
Terrible service, cuts out multiple times daily for several months now from home to at least 5 miles through town to work place. Customer service is as expected up here in the white mtns of Az. They have a “where else you gonna go” attitude about customer service as do so many other businesses up here in this Mormon community. Terrible service from this company and not many options. Shameful
Unprofessional
I had Sparklight for many months- I was generally happy with it despite the frequent disconnects. However, this past May I found out that ATT fiber was available in my area and so I let Sparklight go and went with ATT. However, Sparklight did not shut off my internet even though I had stopped paying the bill. I had never had this happen before where as I am used to no payment equals no service...and I was counting on that. I did not expect them to wait for nearly 3 months to shut my service down... and then slap me with a huge bill. I find this to very unprofessional and I have decided even if the need arose I would never return to them again simply due to this fact
Price increases, programs decrease
How can you justify charging $10.00 “more” a month starting next month, but take away the NFL network channel, that was part of your basic package, just before the NFL season starts ? In your reasoning for the increase in pricing, you use the same “tired” excuse reference “supply chain issues” ! ! What does that have to do with cable tv ? ? If you take a channel away from a package, shouldn’t you “decrease” the cost that consumers pay ? ? ? Without the one channel that I enjoy the most during football season, I’m considering moving away from Sparklight and to another service.
Sparklight Violates American's With Disabilities Act
Sparklight has refused to provide us services and would rather discriminate against a disabled individual to justify not dong their jobs. a General Manager Raymond Ness has not only discriminated against us he has threatened us and stated that he is going to interfere with the only internet service with the speeds and plans we need and has instructed tech support to not assist us on fixing the issues with our internet that has been going on for nearly 2 months. Raymond Ness has indicated he plans on blocking our access to services of disabled individuals and is allowing others to assist him in refusing to fix speed issues and other issues causing us not to have reliable service and speeds. Raymond Ness threatened us he would do this and cut our services off simply for bringing this up. Sparklight doesn't uphold, honor nor care about the rights of disabled individuals and uses subertfuge tactics, coercion , threats , discrimination and intimidation to justify refusing to provide services for disabled consumers
Terrible experience
Terrible experience - pitiful example on how not to do it. I get regular "how we doing" emails, but no answers to issues and questions. I would avoid them if possible.

Here we sit again with no internet going on hour 8, and no ETA on service restore. If it weren't for the monopoly in our area this would not be my provider going forward.

Sparklight gets 4 stars from me instead of 5 ONLY because of the headache to get the appropriate customer service I had been needing. Almost understandably, judging from many of the comments I’ve read on other reviews, I can see why it took longer-than-normal for me to reach the appropriate people to deal with to help me with my internet issues. Also, my internet issues are only noticeable because I’m a gamer, otherwise, nobody throughout the neighborhood could really notice “packet loss” through normal web browsing and streaming.
Every single customer service rep I’ve dealt with for the past 2 months have been extremely friendly. The lack of communication afterwards in helping me is where I had any issue with this company.
Sparklight went out of their way to hook up my internet service to a newly built house 100 ft from the road during the beginning of this Covid Crisis. That itself took a few months to do but nonetheless they got it done for me and my neighbor.
Me. Tim in my area most recently is nothing but professional. Other than him going on vacation and lacking communication (I didn’t know he had went on vacation) during his time off, he has been professional the whole way through. Mr. Pat is a great person who deserves a raise and a promotion. He’s friendly, professional, stays in contact with me, and genuinely seems to care.
This company gets a bad rep in my opinion because of people’s lack of knowledge for the most part. Speeds are as advertised, pricing is par with 2 other internet companies I’ve been with in regards to speeds and data.
If I could give sparklight a negative
If I could give sparklight a negative, I would. My internet works during the day and completely goes out at night. First night it happened I called, stayed on hold for 30 minutes at 10 p.m.and hung up. It worked the next 4 days and then, went out again at night, called and the same situation happened with staying on hold. 2 days later same thing, worked during the day and stopped at night. While staying on hold this time I wrote them an email complaining it’s happened 3 times, finally a tech answered. It was, unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back it. That didn’t work, said it was all he could do from a computer that a technician had to come out but it would be the 10th till they could make it, which was a week and half out. Told him to cancel my service from being aggravated about the wait time. Next morning I check every single internet service but only HughesNet is available where I live, way to slow. So unfortunately I have to keep sparklight, I got online and used the chat option for customer service being calling could take forever. I told the representative not to cancel my service and they told me my service service wasn’t cancelled until I dropped my modem off. We chatted more and said the soonest was still the 10th and I said I would wait the week and half for a tech. So for almost 2 weeks straight I have zero internet at night and 3 random times previous. Get up this morning, got on chat to confirm a time and no ticket was ever put in. Highly pissed off and annoyed I waited to call. The representative this time said they could see where I’ve called and chatted online but couldn’t see where a ticket was put in and proceeded to tell me that now it would be the 15th before someone could come out. Asked about crediting my account being I haven’t had internet at night for weeks and I’ve used all my hotspot up, “sir we have to wait until a technician can come out to verify your service is down”. “Yes mam, I understand. I’ve stayed on hold 3 times, chatted online, stayed home today thinking a technician was coming out, and now apparently have to go another 5 nights without internet because of y’all’s service and customer support messed up only because I’ve been bored and have had nothing else to do. Makes sense”. I’m sure I wouldn’t be charged a late fee if I forgot to make a payment or anything. They care absolutely zero about customer satisfaction and as soon as another internet service is available, I will cancel Sparklight immediately. Worse customer service and not worried about going out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction when they are at fault. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Horrible service high price
Dont do it worse since sparklight took over from cable one constant outages laggy and this is with WIRED. Wireless is worse get more than 5ft away from wireless router and yo can't even connect. I know ardmore area is limited for isp but seriously choose one of those, as bad as they are they have to be better than sparklight . Sparklight =over priced barely useable internet service
Sparklight a poor successor to Cableone
We used to be customers of the now defunct Cable One, we used to love them but in their last year their service became abysmal. Our cable boxes were never configured correctly. They were charging us for services we were not getting. Also their Pricing rose to a point where we had to discontinue service with them. In all it was a terrible service term with what used to be a rocking stellar company. Near the end of our service term they were taken over by Sparklight. It's been at lest maybe a year we had moved on with daily life. But suddenly My family is receiving threatening collection calls from sweet heart Sparklight reps. We had long since disconnected (Cableone boxes) and went to an HD antenna and it is glorious no more over priced Nostalgia TV. The company no longer exists but Sparklight wants the old equipment back, we have had no contact with them, no communications. I'm betting that sparklight still has all of our current contact information. But nobody has tried to contact us until recently? I'm sure that we've paid for that equipment two or three times over we don't really use it other than the stuff we've recorded on the DVR, but if they want ( another companies equipment) stuff back they can have it. This company obviously has no tact, and the several people I know that have service with sparklight are regretting it daily. I miss the old Cable One to damnation with sparklight, I wish they were a thoughtful, descent company, there are so few. I am so disappointed with Sparklight
But if this is how you guys treat loyal customer of nearly 10 years under the cable One Banner of course. Sparklight can take a long walk off a short pier after I return their stinking equipment, I am none too pleased let's just put it that way. Oh Cable One, where are thou, your replacement is but a pale and vile shadow to your once delightful visage. I am so disappointed in Sparklight.

I would give it a lower score if possible. They just took over our local internet provider and claimed we wouldn't have to change ours plans. Low and behold, now we are being moved from an unlimited data plan to a 600GB plan and being charged more for it! This should be criminal! Monopoly?
I was having problem with my wi-fi…
I was having problem with my wi-fi going in and out.The tech came over and spent along time here, then checked lines,this by the way took an hour or two, then he finally found problem in cables in back yard of neighbor burned.So he and his Boss came out there and fixed the wires, gave me new router and it worked fine.And they actually came out next day and buried the wires before someone could mow them over.I really appreciate the way they helped me.I will tell you that one or two of the other techs back in the day did lousy jobs, but these two guys were the best.My speed is fast, not like ATT, what junk.
