Sparrow card or sparrow financial whatever they call themselves are the worst company on the planet do not in my opinion have anything to do with them in regard to conducting business or getting any of their products. This is just my own opinion and experience in views, I had a credit card with them to rebuild my credit and it was $1000 credit limit and for almost 2 months pretty quickly I utilized it and had a $598 balance on my credit card over two months later just about give or take it’s still showed a $658 credit balance or credit usage card balance on my credit reports Experian Equifax and Trans Union. After talking to them, they told me that as of February 1, 2026 they would update my new credit usage amount which at that time was zero. I have paid it completely off, but they went by the prior cycle which was $96 so they claim to contact the credit bureaus on 1 February to update and get rid of that $598 usage rate which was raising my credit utilization rates and hurting my credit score. So about 10 or 11 days went by after they were supposed to report to the credit bureaus whether they did or not I’ll never know, but I know I called up and complained the hell of a lot and also in the next day or two all three credit reports showed a $96 balance. They finally updated it after almost 2 months of leaving it at $598. So around February 10 because of my efforts and my complaints they updated it to reflect correctly even though I was at 0% and actually pay the card off. Then on 15 February they put back on the $598 of credit card usage and removed the correct $96 credit card usage and to this day February 17. It still shows $598 while Equifax and experience show $96. Trans Union did show $96 but somebody in the back office at this brilliant company spiral card reported back to Trans Union. I guess in my opinion and told them to knock my credit usage up back up to $598 and remove the $96 dropping my credit score down by a lot of points and it’s untrue. What they did was either done by error or mistake by their back office intentionally or intentionally whatever the reason is it’s sheer incompetence now I still have the $598 showing on my Trans Union report and my utilization has one skyrocketed back up to 13% and they knocked my credit score down by 11 points. I complained to the consumer financial protection bureau Sparrow cards response was they did nothing wrong that they report accurately they didn’t even apologize or admit the mistake they made by removing the $96 update back to the $598 reflecting on my Trans Union report, they didn’t even apologize to me. They didn’t even admit that they did it or that they created that mistake or that that it was an error on their pot and that they would alter it or modified it. Well, I instantly closed my card on the 15th after talking to them because I knew this company was absolutely incompetent. So I close my credit card account. I’m at zero balance it’s paid off that matter of fact, they owe me $.96 and I’m gonna have to wait a month until this credit card drops off of all my credit reports because I closed the card and that 596 amount is still gonna be reflected on my Trans Union report for probably at least another month or two. God knows how long until it’s removed off all the credit bureaus because I closed the card. Take my advice from my own experience do not conduct business with this company, they are deceptive, nefarious, and competent and need to be shut down. Take my word for it. This is just my own opinion and my own views avoid this company like the plague they destroyed my credit score. They lied to the consumer financial protection bureau in my opinion, trying to portray themselves to the consumer financial protection bureau, as if there’s some kind of perfect saints doing everything accurately. They lied. To make themselves look good and to try to protect their reputation. So now I’ve gotta wait until their credit card drops off of all three of my credit reports and that’s it. In the meantime, my credit utilization on Trans Union is gonna remain high until their car drops off and then as a result, I’m gonna lose more points because they’re an account is gonna be shown as closed on my credit reports all because they changed the $96 a couple of days later back to $598. Meanwhile, I was at a zero balance I paid everything off do not do business with this company in my opinion unless you want a headache and if you email them, they will respond to you and tell you that everything they did was accurate. They will never admit their faults or shortcomings or errors or mistakes. They did it with the consumer financial protection bureau and consumer financial protection. Bureau are pretty much worth worthless they don’t do anything anyway they’ll investigate. They don’t contact me. They’re pretty worthless. They just take the companies word for it.
