I visited the Birmingham branch with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
Firstly, the queues were extremely long and didn’t seem to be getting any shorter. When I was finally served, I ordered the tuna and coleslaw baked potato, which cost £9. They managed to get the tuna, but then told me they didn’t have any coleslaw. I waited for around 10 minutes, but there was still no coleslaw, so I eventually decided to leave with less than what I had paid for.
What disappointed me further was the lack of any apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. I was left feeling that I had paid a lot of money for something that wasn’t what I had ordered.
As for the food itself, the baked potato was very dry and the tuna tasted processed rather than fresh or gourmet, as I had been led to expect. In fact, I would go as far as saying it was one of the worst baked potatoes I’ve had. I’ve had much better potatoes elsewhere for considerably less money.
Overall, I really couldn’t justify the £9 cost for what I received. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it and I definitely won’t be a repeat customer. The owners really need to read and fix these issues otherswise they won’t have a business!

Doncaster store Staff rude and too busy talking on their phones to serve customers, potato cold and hard

One of the staff standing right outside the main doors vapeing away and rubbing his hands through his hair every 2 mins I wonder did he wash his hands when he went back behind the counter

Didn’t even end up ordering as the staff (three women) were too busy taking and on their mobile phones to even acknowledge me for the first few minutes. Then they claimed to be ‘wiping down’. I waited longer, yet they still didn’t take my order. Left and ate somewhere else.

Whilst the portion is large, the potato was too oily (way too much butter) and the skin was soggy, threw it away

Not nice, thought it would be different it was a wet potatoe with a weird taste. Never returning thanks. Dont know whats the hype about. Overpriced!!!

The staff do not seem interested in serving customers. I waited for over an hour, even though there were only five people ahead of me. Suddenly, we were told that they would not serve any more customers because they needed to clean.

After around 15 minutes of cleaning and taking out the rubbish, the lady did not change her gloves after finishing the cleaning. She only changed them after I pointed it out to her.

I do not recommend this place. Very poor service and a lack of professionalism.

Serving only non-stun halal meat, while prominently displaying British flags, feels completely at odds with the animal welfare standards many people in the UK have supported for decades.

In my opinion, this is misleading because many customers may assume the branding reflects the sourcing and welfare standards they expect. I also don’t agree with the ethics behind the decision, and the prices certainly don’t help.

As a result, neither I nor my family will be spending our money there.

Awful! Sloppy mess of chillies chicken with no rattan. The potato seemed steamed and soggy, with no crispy skin.

Overall, £10 wasted, as most of it went in the bin.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Spud Bros. The potato fillings were barely there, and for the price, it felt incredibly poor value for money. I bought six potatoes for my family, costing £60 in total, which is far too expensive considering how little filling we received.
The service was also far too slow, and the overall experience was frustrating from start to finish. For such a high price, I expected much better quality and service.
Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing and dissatisfying visit. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend Spud Bros to others.

It was rubbish no toilet no seats nothing apart from the shop £17 for a potato absolutely absurd never be back I’ll be going to Pepe’s from now on absolutely crap horrible overrated and overpriced

This stupid place charged my brother 17 pound for just two potatoes no drinks I will definitely never be going back also they didn’t do the student meal deal so absolutely crap would not recommend you should just go to pepes instead

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my visit. The potato wasn't served hot—it was made up of one potato that had already been cut and left on the counter from the previous order, along with another whole potato that had also been sitting there. By the time it was my turn, both had cooled down, so the meal was only warm at best.

The flavours were good, but a baked potato should really be served piping hot. I also felt the portion of topping, particularly the chicken, was quite small. For a tenner I expected better quality and value. I hope this was just an off day, as there is definitely potential.

Bit of a disappointment, ran out of beans, couldn’t hear staff due to loud music. Portions small considering the price. Taste was ok but nothing spectacular. Would not recommend.

Serving only RS non stun meat is appalling it’s animal torture! yet they have British flags advertising their produce, we have fought for decades for good animal welfare!
This is False advertising and misleading to the majority of the population, bad ethics not to mention overpriced. Not a penny will come from me or mine.

Enthusiastic halal and unconcerned about what their customers required. They should be upfront and state that they are Muslims supplying and using meats and not pretend anything else

No options to purchase meat that has not been RS, totally against faiths other than islamic, going against the religious requirements and values of the majority of the population. Disappointing to say the least.
