Sells Halal rubbish , don't waste your money

Giving this one a miss,since I found out that they only serve Halal meat!!! I can't believe that a food chain is even funding animal torture in 2026,it's about time people boycotted this place,if you go and purchase then you are just as bad and definitely not an animal lover.

Had to wait ages to be served,very expensive for a potato and very little fillings,i personally will not be using spud brothers company again!
ive since found out the meat they use is halal and was not disclosed at the time of purchase,I don't agree with animal cruelty myself

Very disappointed and disturbed to find out that they’re 100% halal. They call it inclusive, I call it profiteering.

Very disappointed to learn that this company uses halal meat. I personally have serious concerns about animal welfare when it comes to certain slaughter methods, and this is not something I’m comfortable supporting. What made it worse is that this wasn’t made clear upfront — customers should be able to make informed choices about where their food comes from and how animals are treated.

100% is a no from me. I can't believe you guys are supporting animal torture in 2026 just to pander to a minority sector of the UK population.

Went to the Portsmouth Express and was overcharged for the items I purchased. I was promised a refund for the amount overpaid, but after now a month of waiting still not received. This is so wrong on every level

Was served by Sydney and Sophie i think, but both were very friendly and very talkative, which for hospitality is very nice to see ij this industry, both were very nic3 and a te very good at there job would recommend for the hospitality alone

Just found out you serve halal meats. Not getting another penny out of me

Went to spud bros Liverpool today with my daughter who is a massive spud bros fan! It did not disappoint. The staff were so lovely and friendly to us. Took time to talk to us and gave my daughters a spud bros hat as a souvenir:) The potatoes were delicious, hot and fluffy 👌 we can’t wait to go back!

Staff are incompetent at the Blackburn location , it took 3 members of staff to cut a potato and put garlic butter on it.

We had to wait 30 minutes for beans which were cold upon being served and the food was cold as a whole , extremely disappointed I feel the quality has dipped since they have broadened locations.

VERY RUDE WHEN I ASKED ABOUT HALA MEATS USED.

“three cheese mix” was not served as the staff were using packet cheese from the bp garage. Jacket potato itself was lukewarm. Just not the experience that’s expected.

Pulled pork removed form menu and entire thing is Halal. Not something I wild ever support and especially with how misleading an deceiving this whole thing has become. It’s a no from us. Give Christians some choice back

Halal avoid very disappointed!!!!

After a family Day out we went to compare Spudbros pulled pork to the Spud mans version of pulled pork we had before Christmas. After a 2 hour drive and about 45 minutes waiting to be served we was very disappointed to find out PULLED PORK is now off the menu. We decided not to order!

This is due to the business making a decision to go HALAL with the menu. I find this absolutely disgusting they are promoting religious slaughter of the meats they sell when in most videos the customers are English.
I will return to try the pulled Pork when it returns to the menu.

This will be my 4th review of Spud Bros Blackburn as my previous 3 have been deleted on google, suspicious… Firstly, there was no queue system so waiting seemed longer. When I ordered my food, I was asked a further 2 times by 2 different people what I wanted. One of the staff members was coughing over the food. Another staff members job was purely putting beans on potatoes. The topping portions were SO stingy. I have frequented the Liverpool store and Preston van multiple times and have had brilliant experiences each time with portion sizes so why is the Blackburn one any different? Not even a full spoon of toppings and for the price you’d expect more. We had the garlic chilli chicken and the chilli con carne and the taste was genuinely amazing so it’s such a shame they are served with such stinginess.

No pulled pork, removed from menu.
Only halal meat available.
Disgraceful.
