I used Starck Uberoi for the sale of my property and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing, particularly in relation to communication, case management and the way my formal complaint was handled.

To be clear, my complaint was never that Starck Uberoi was responsible for every day of the transaction delay. There were obviously matters involving the buyer, their solicitors and lender. My concern was about specific issues where I believe the firm's handling contributed to avoidable delay, additional costs, inconvenience and significant stress.

During the transaction, I repeatedly had to chase for updates and, on several occasions, my partner and I had to contact third parties and obtain information ourselves in order to keep the transaction moving. This included contacting Help to Buy ourselves and contacting my neighbour's solicitors when the transaction was at serious risk of failing.

There were also significant issues concerning the management information, a freehold title restriction which was only brought to my attention shortly before the proposed completion date, the timing of the TA13, and an additional £350 Help to Buy valuation cost after the original valuation expired.

I submitted a formal complaint on **28 June 2026**. I then had to wait until **7 September 2026** for their substantive response — more than ten weeks later and beyond the eight-week timeframe generally applicable to complaints to solicitors.

Unfortunately, I did not feel that their response properly addressed the specific issues I had raised. Instead, much of the response focused on the fact that they were not responsible for the *overall* delay. That was not the complaint I had made.

I therefore replied on **7 September**, setting out in detail the questions that remained unanswered and asking them to reconsider the complaint, including the issues surrounding the title restriction, TA13, the £350 additional valuation, communication failures and the extent of the work I had been required to undertake myself.

As of **15 September 2026, I have still received no response** to that further correspondence.

What I found particularly frustrating was that, having paid professional solicitors to manage the sale, I often felt that I was having to chase matters myself and coordinate information that I reasonably expected the firm to manage. The subsequent complaint process did not give me confidence that the specific concerns I raised had been properly investigated or addressed.

The transaction did eventually complete, but the process was unnecessarily stressful and I was left with additional costs and a significant amount of work that I believe should not have fallen on me.

I appreciate that other clients may have had different experiences, and reviews should reflect individual circumstances. This review reflects my own experience of Starck Uberoi and, in particular, my experience of their conveyancing service and complaint handling.

I would strongly recommend anyone considering instructing them for a property transaction to ask detailed questions about who will manage the file, how communication will be handled, and what happens if issues arise during the transaction.

PATHETIC
Acting on behalf of two individual trustees of a temple charity, this law firm has clearly accepted their legal fees from the donations of temple funds. One of the trustees being a MBE holder, one Mr Parmod KUMAR Kad, a previous Labour Party councillor, also believed to have been expelled by the Labour Party.
While this is alleged theft of public funds by the trustees to use charity donations for personal use, the law firm remains equally responsible as they clearly failed to ensure that their remuneration is originating from a third party account.
The alleged theft of public funds has now been reported to the Home Office for investigation and I do verily believe the home office may have been contacted by other senior politicians in this respect.
Furthermore, this law firm has used a redacted version of a privileged email between me and a Member of Parliament. The ICO have now intervened in the matter and questions are being asked whether the clients had any lawful basis to use the confidential data. Equally I feel the law firm should have used due diligence prior to using privileged data without ascertaining the complete background.
Furthermore, I had been given a twelve month period by the charity commission to appeal to the PHSO. This law firm’s solicitor clearly failed to ascertain the complete background thus causing ongoing stress.
The solicitor acting for Starck Uberoi has previously made FRIVILOUS, MALICIOUS and BASELESS allegations against me while working for another law firm. There would appear to be a vendetta against me by the solicitor and their clients acting in this case.
Furthermore, my emails have remained unanswered by this law firm. Their silence is again causing undue stress.
All in all a very PATHETIC law firm in my opinion.
