Our holiday was unfortunately not a great experience of Sunrise, as our tour driver had only been with the company 7 weeks and knew nothing of the area or the places he was dropping us off at. We don't blame the drive as the company should have given the information he needed to pass on or info for him to find out about the places we were going to. The hotel was the Grand Britania, sadly grand in name only, bland meals and rooms that are very outdated plus we had to be moved on the 2nd night as no cold water.

Admittedly we didnt pay the earth, but accommodation, entertainment and food were very basic. Trips out were very good, with an excellent driver David, although new to a tour guide, he lacked pointing out the various points of interest along the way, a lovely man though, who worked hard to please all his passengers.

I BOOKED 4 COACH HOLIDAYS WITH SUNRISE 2 WERE CANCELLED AND 1 CHANGED DATE..THE HOTELS WERE VERY POOR THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING A CHOICE OF FISH FINGERS OR CHICKEN NUGGETS ON THE FIRST NIGHT AT LLANDUDNO THE GRAND HOTEL
WOULD NOT GIVE THEM ONE STAR IF I HAD THE CHOICE AT THE END OF MY LAST HOLIDAY I WAS LEFT STRANDED OUTSIDE JOHN LEWIS AT 8.00 AT NIGHT WITH NO MINI BUS OR TAXI TO TAKE ME HOME TO AYLSHAM

Feeder coach was more comfortable than the one we transferred on to(neither were Sunrise coaches)
The driver was very nice but as it was his first tour holiday he wasn’t too knowledgeable about drop off areas. Hotel was good and meals were ok. Value for the money we paid.

The grand hotel Llandudno is under refirbishment the public
Area is Ok rooms clean but
Very basic the worst problem is the food awful greasy
Overcookef and gave me an
Upset tummy after two days

Coach itself had seen better

Sunrise many times in the past but i was so dissapointed with this trip i will have to do lots of research of Sunrise Hotels

The trip to Jersey was very good. The only complaint was we arrived at the hotel about 12.30pm and couldn't book in until 3pm. There was no food or drink available to buy. Everything else was very good.

Hotel was nice, only problem was the distance from room to restuarant.
Food was nothing special, carrots undercooked.
Only decent meal was breakfast which was overcooked. I made sure I had two bowls of rice krispies to get me through then day.
Wherever we stopped i made sure I made sure i got some hot food.
Won't be using Sunrise again, this was the 3rd time using them.

The coach was comfortable,the driver Phil was excellent,cannot fault the hotel . Only criticism was the pickups we travelled well out of the way so we ended up being on the coach for 9 and a half hours

Stayed at the Ashley hotel in Torquay, very dated, rooms very dirty, carpets never hoovered, will never stay there again

Had a lovely holiday nice hotel and really good driver. Outgoing transfer to Cambridge services spoilt by mardy taxi driver! Only down point. Already looking for next holiday with sunrise

Went on the Torquay & Eden Project Coach holiday. What a lovely holiday, had a great time.
Booking was done quickly and easily over the telephone by friendly helpful staff.
The main coach tour driver, Tony, was friendly, helpful and a good driver.
The hotel, The Ashley Court Hotel, whilst dated was clean, good hot food and friendly staff. Plenty of hot water even though you had to wait a few minutes for it to come through but this was not an issue.
A special mention to Maureen and Jackie(?) who were fabulous waiting staff. Great banter and service.
Entertainment ok.
Excursions good. The Eden Project is well worth a visit.
The people on the coach were a lovely friendly crowd.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the feeder driver, who although was pleasant was unfamiliar with the area.
I have already booked with SunriseDirect for another trip this year and would recommend this company.

The driver Tony was fantastic, made us welcome from start to finish. Good trips. Clean hotel, good food, enjoyable entertainment. I made new friends. In all a great holiday

We enjoyed the tours which were interesting. Our driver, Dave, was friendly and appeared to be helpful for those who needed it.

The one thing that let the holiday down for me, was the hotel. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However the sink had a crack and hole in it which caused a leak every time you put water in the basin. This had obviously been happening for some time as there was a dark patch on the floor under the sink and the crack and hole certainly weren't a recent occurrence. We had no bedside lamps at all and two very thin pillows each. On our second day I asked for two extra pillows and I'm still awaiting them!

Also, the reception desk was not manned for a lot of the time it was supposed to be.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and were working very hard, but I think could have done with an extra pair of hands. The chef came into the dining room one evening to help serve and I was dismayed to see that his clothes were very stained and he had a grubby oven cloth hanging from his belt.

The entertainment over the three nights we thought was very good, far better than some we have seen in hotels. We stayed to the end each evening which is unusual for us.

I know that we weren't the only guests who had problems with their rooms and feel, generally, that the hotel could have been better managed.

This experience would make us think twice about booking with Sunrise again.

Our driver was super! The hotel was fine but advertising let the hotel and Sunrise down! Both in the Sunrise information and the hotel’s web site an indoor swimming pool was advertised. This has not been open since Covid! Vouchers were given for the lesuire centre next door but timings of casual swimming were tricky to fit in our itinerary! The rooms at the hotel were fine( if a little hot!) and the food was of a good variety and standard.
Apart from the swimming opportunities ( two of us did go in the sea!) a super holiday!

A great holiday, a dated hotel but good food and attentive staff. Time could have been a little longer at some places but value for money with the added bonus of collection by taxi to join the coach as we are in West Norfolk. We will use your holiday services again.

From the beginning this tour was badly organised. With our first driver not sure which service station in Cambridge to use. Once at hotel there was no help for people with their luggage, who are mostly older & perhaps not very mobile.
The first evening meal was a disaster, not enough food or places to sit.
The food all during this holiday was awful,poor selection and cold.
The return journey did not improve our opinion of Sunrise holidays.
Never again.

My wife and I on day one had a very courteous and helpful coach driver who took care of our luggage and was extremely informative about the areas we passed through until we arrived at our destination. This attitude continued throughout our stay, full marks to the driver Adi on our Iron bridge break. The hotel was brilliant, very comfortable room, and we would give the staff there 100 percent, and as for the catering, top marks as well. Our views on Sunrise coach holidays is what a great company to arrange a holiday with.
