You will learn a lot of new things
The content is not made just for you to have a diploma, you really learn new things. Even though I'm experienced with teaching, TEFL.org gave me a lot of clarity for the issues I didn't know how to deal with. It's not an easy course, it's a real learning experience.

We’re so glad to hear that you found the course to be a genuine learning experience and not just a route to a qualification. It’s fantastic that, even with your teaching experience, the course gave you clarity on areas you hadn’t encountered before. That’s exactly what we aim for!
Thanks again for sharing your experience, and we wish you every success in your teaching journey!

Fabulous, clarity on word counts
Everything was great. However, some of the word limits need to be more clear. They’d say “600 word max”, I’d do an assignment at 430 words and get feedback that I needed to hit the word count. That’s not clear what to do directions. It should maybe have a range of words with a minimum and maximum OR tutors should be told that if the student follows all the other directions in fewer words, it should be a pass. Having to extend a finished assignment made me want to use AI.

Don't recommend
Some of the things the reviewer said made no sense because they are not checking their own grammar and spelling mistakes. If you are a reviewer, please make sure you are spelling correctly. In addition, on some assignments, we given a word limit. The reviewer asked me to explain things in more depth than I already had, which made me go over the limit several times. They provide their email and then do not respond if you ask for clarification via email. Lastly, the reviewer does not review within 48 hours. It is more like with 72 hours.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback - we really appreciate you being so open about your experience.
I’m sorry to hear that aspects of the tutor feedback felt frustrating. We understand how important it is that feedback is clear and directly relevant to the assignment submitted, especially when you’re working within a set word limit.
The word limit is required to ensure all feedback and assessment decisions meet our accreditors' strict criteria. We'll certainly share your feedback with the team about this.
Thanks again for raising these points. If you ever have any other comments or suggestions please don't hesitate to reach out.

A good course to give a TEFL grounding.
The 120 hour course is well planned and gives lots of information. I have taught EFL in the past and this course, apart from giving me a certificate has given me a few new ideas for my classes. All in all recommended.
My only gripes would be that on occasions the tutor feedback seemed a bit 'remote', that is, it didn't seem to completely reflect my assignment.

I also appreciate you sharing your feedback about the tutor comments. That’s certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we’ll be passing this on to our academic team so they can review it and continue improving the support we offer.
Thanks again for recommending us, and we wish you all the best with your teaching going forward.

I found the course very comprehensive and easy to follow online . The course content was excellent and the support second to none. I also thought the feedback from the tutor , Thomas Kerr was great and I learnt a lot about how to run a class. All in all I didn’t think I could have gotten so much out of the course . I would thoroughly recommend this for anyone wanting to teach English to non English speakers

Fun and useful experience
This course was an excellent professional development experience for me. The curriculum was well-structured, comprehensive, and highly relevant for both new and experienced educators. Each module provided practical teaching strategies, clear explanations, and real-world examples that made the content easy to understand and apply.
I especially appreciated the focus on lesson planning, classroom management, and effective communication techniques. The course materials were engaging, and the assessments reinforced key concepts without feeling overwhelming.
