There was a young man on duty when we visited, his name was Mo! He is an absolute credit to Tenpin Colchester. He went above and beyond for us. We attended for our daughter’s 12th birthday, not as a party but as a family. He was more than happy to take the cake I had made, brought it down to us with the candles lit and even took the time to cut this for us and bring it to our lane. Thank you so much Mo!
The manager on duty that evening was called Victoria, she was also amazing, she clocked it was my daughter’s birthday wished her happy birthday and even gave her one of the old pins from the lanes. This has been put pride of place in her room. Thank you so much for making her evening so special! Mo did give me a feedback card but I lost it between leaving and getting home

Fantastic service
Fantastic service, all 6 lanes were together and ready straight away. Turned the music down afterwards so we could do a prizes presentation. The small touches make a difference.

We come here often
We come here often. Almost twice a week my colleagues and our service users play bowling, pool and use the karaoke room The staff are friendly, welcoming and will go extra mile to make our stay comfortable as possible. I highly recommend it. The food there is great too.

When we arrived there were 4 members of…
When we arrived there were 4 members of staff stood outside the front door smoking and talking in a non professional manner. Once inside there was no staff anywhere to be seen, we had to wait until the staff outside smoking had finished for them to come inside and serve us. A while later when we wanted to order food and drinks again there was no staff around to be found as they were congregating outside the building . They showed no sign of any customer service at all and as a result in future we will be travelling a further distance to the new Hollywood bowl where service is actually given. Will not be returning.

Great bowling but not great food / speed of service
We had a birthday party here with around 15 x 6 - 7 year olds.
Staff were friendly. The booking process was easy. The gift bag for the birthday girl was lovely.
The bowling was great.
The food and service however, were very disappointing.
The pizzas and fries arrived 1hr 25 mins after our party began and 5-7 of the pizzas were burnt and literally inedible.
The manager got us 4 replacements, however this also took 10-15 mins and we had some very hungry children as a result and minutes to spare before we would need to leave the lanes - So not giving enough time for the children to comfortably eat, which was such a shame.
The cake took a long time to be brought out for the birthday song (we had to remind the staff twice in 20 mins) and then it took a while for them to cut the cake for the party bags.
Was quite a stressful 2nd half to what started as a great party.
