Excellent Program and Coach Trainers
I really enjoyed the Accelerator Day programs and although I don’t plan to start a professional coaching business, these skills have been immensely valuable to me as a team leader. I hope to transition at some point to executive coaching and will certainly come back to TCA for that. I highly recommend the program as it is very structured and exhaustive in drilling the fundamentals on which you build as you gain real-life experience. Note - there is no hand-holding in this program, no reminders to complete - you need to understand the process and requirements, set your goals, build your timeline for completion, and the execution of your studies is up to you. One strong recommendation- complete your learning sheets the same day that you complete your module, practical or webinar - do not wait until later unless you have the memory of an elephant!

An all-round fantastic learning experience, setting me up for my new career as a life coach!
I learned so much while studying for my Life Coaching Diploma with The Coaching Academy. Everything was so well structured with an excellent mix of learning resources.

A positive, empathy enhancing tool that makes sense
I absolutely loved this module- from reading to classroom it was positive, lively and made sense. I could see so many light-bulb moments in the group, enhanced empathy and curiosity. I really felt like we were all in it together and left the module feeling energised.

A practical and genuinely valuable coaching journey
I have really valued my experience with The Coaching Academy. The training has given me much more than coaching models and theory — the live sessions, practical exercises, breakout discussions and opportunities to practise have helped me develop confidence in how I actually coach.
I particularly appreciate that the training continually brings the focus back to listening, rapport, powerful questioning, self-awareness and allowing the client to find their own answers rather than trying to fix things for them.
My final live session on DISC Personality Profiling was another excellent example of this. It gave me a practical way of understanding different behavioural and communication preferences and how I can adapt my coaching approach to the individual without putting people into boxes.
I am finishing the live training feeling far more aware of myself as a coach, where I still want to develop, and the kind of coach I want to become. The tutors have created a supportive learning environment while still encouraging us to challenge ourselves and grow.
It has been a meaningful and worthwhile learning experience, and I would recommend the programme to anyone who is serious about developing real coaching skills.

The training session was engaging
The training session was engaging. Use of video references provided realistic examples of the different personalities. The addition of break out rooms gave us an opportunity to interact with other participants.

Very impressive operation
Have just completed the course... waiting with trepidation for my grade! The course is intensive - a reflection of the comprehensiveness of the syllabus - especially compared to other coaching courses... a lot of which just seem to scratch the surface of life coaching. Have found all the lecturers to be very passionate and engaging. The online learning platform is slick and works well... and any queries I've had about the course itself, or technical issues re uploads etc have been dealt with very quickly by their support team. Summing up: a lot of work but very satisfying - and a great team behind it.

Students could not take screenshots or talk to each other 1:1
Part of any training experience includes the interactions between class members. I was discouraged to find how “locked down” the Zoom meeting parameters were - attendees were unable to react (even with emojis) to fellow student’s messages in chat, we could not send others direct messages - even a friendly “I’d like to connect with you on LinkedIn after this class”. Everything was locked down and restricted to public chat in the main room. I also found it to be somewhat restrictive that the instructors would not back-pedal and show previous slides; instead they would just recap what someone missed in the chat. Some individuals expressed wanting to take a screenshot of the previous slide, and the instructors said that was not permitted. For an online program, this seems rather unrealistic, and a rather restrictive view to expect from attendees. Also on Day 2 of the program, it focused a bit too long on “Healthy eating habits”. Since most of us are coaches in this program, it would have been more effective to spend time on a section like, “Statements to watch for that indicate a different coaching approach might be used” or “Conversational coaching when working with neurodivergent coachees”. I wanted more conversational prompts and tips we could carry with us directly into our conversations.

We are sorry to read that some aspects of the format felt restrictive, and we appreciate you taking the time to highlight these points.
The presentation slides are protected intellectual property, so screenshots aren’t permitted. To ensure participants have useful material to refer back to throughout the training, we provide a supporting handout, allowing participants to focus on engaging with the session rather than taking extensive notes.
Interaction between attendees is an important part of our live training, and we do encourage discussion and connection. On occasion, a trainer may temporarily restrict certain chat functions if the volume of messages becomes distracting and starts to affect the flow of the training. We appreciate, however, that this can feel limiting when participants are keen to connect with one another, and we’ll take your feedback on board.
We also appreciate your suggestions around the content and the opportunity for more practical conversational prompts and guidance when working with neurodivergent clients. We do have a separate CPD, Coaching Neurodivergent Clients, which explores this area in greater depth and may be of interest if you’d like to explore the topic further.

I found the coaching approach very powerful
I found the coaching approach very powerful - not only as a profession, but in everyday life. It's given me practical ways to approach people, listen more deeply, understand them, and build strong partnerships in any area of life.
I really enjoyed the studies, meeting my peers, and I appreciated the mentor's expertise. The learning platform offered a lot of useful tools and the flexibility was a real advantage.
One thing I feel is missing is optional in-person events, maybe once or twice a year, to deepen our connections.
And overall, I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to move into coaching as a new profession.

All in all I really enjoyed the Life Coaching Diploma
All in all I really enjoyed the Life Coaching Diploma with The Coaching Academy. It is lot of writing work (learning journals) and some modules were more interesting and useful than others but I would recommend it to anyone who wants a solid coaching diploma.
