Underwear is something that we all wear every day, so we believe that it should be fit for purpose. Underwear and tights should be the foundation of our outfit, not a distraction. Garments that give us the security and confidence to go about our day. We found that women’s underwear and hosiery needs weren’t being met by traditional high street brands, particularly if you were over a size 16 - the products were poorly made and ill-fitting. That’s why we set up The Big Bloomers Company in Cornwall in 2007. From the beginning, our focus has been on quality and fit. We source and manufacture all our products in the UK and Italy using our own, specialised production techniques. We use the finest, high-grade, technical materials on the market, for softness, stretch and durability. Conscious that no one size fits all, we rigorously test all our products on real women across the full range of our sizes, who give us their feedback and help guide our innovation. Our mission? To help women feel at ease through well-made, high quality underwear and tights. Garments that make you feel comfortable in your own skin.

Not cheap but worth the investment
Not cheap but worth the investment. I ordered 3 of the comfort bras and they are good enough to wear to work. So comfortable and a godsend in this weather.

Love these slips
Love these slips. I have both colours now and they are fab. Good fit, silky soft but a good weight of fabric and totally no static. Perfect.

Best knickers
These knickers fit so well and stay where they are meant to stay. Very efficient delivery. Friendly company. No doubt will be purchasing more. After years of ill fitting and uncomfortable underwear I am so pleased to have found this company.

Fabulous pants. Best I have ever had. Can’t feel them on, they don’t move, no adjustments needed. Very quick delivery. Smartly packaged. I bought the size 12/16… normally 12 in clothing. Perfect. Recommend to any woman. 😊

This is the best place for curvy girls to find everything they need for their complete comfort and confidence.
The lace holdups are absolutely amazing. There are so many other items for your comfort too. I just love shopping here. These people know exactly what we want.

Big Bloomers Company absolutely fantastic underwear most comfortable the Wifes ever worn .. Very fast delivery within 48 hours from ordering.. Comfort bra is so comfortable …
I have been buying from this company for a few years now. I love the comfort bras they are so comfortable. I recently fractured my shoulder and have limited mobility in my arm. The comfort bra is so easy to put on.

Amazing company!
First time trying anti chafe shorts and these are wonderful! But what sets this company apart is it's customer service. I mistakenly put the wrong address on my order. Rang them straight away and this lovely lady said she would sort it there and then and change my address. I received them the next day! If I could give you a hundred stars I would! Thank you! :)

From the time of ordering to receiving was 22 hours - beyond efficient. I’ve tried at least 10 other bras to find one that is as comfortable and functional as advertised. My search is finally over. I have ordered 3 more. Soooo comfortable, wide straps, easy to put on. Perfect sizing. Most of all my boobs stay exactly where they are supposed to be and i no longer have to be constantly rearranging. Excellent quality, very soft. Very very happy customer and so pleased I discovered this company.

Bought knee high socks for my wife who has trouble with her legs so has trouble getting socks or stockings that fit. Thea stockings were excellent value and fit my wife like a dream she loves them.

Gorgeous but expensive
Gorgeous but expensive. I have been using their anti-chaffing shorts for a few years now, and they are a life saver for chub rub! They keep you cool and comfortable in the heat aswell. Also, they saved me embarrassment one day when it was very windy and my dress blew up and showed everyone my underwear! Luckily it was a pair of big bloomers anti chaffing shorts so all was well!
I have recently bought their knickers which are comfy and breathable. And I've just decided to buy some vests and socks although it haven't tried them yet to leave a comment.
The only downside is for me they are very expensive, even with their bundle deals. I wince at the cost every time, but for me, at least the anti chaffing shorts are very worthwhile. They also keep me cool!
If they're other underwear lasts aswell as their anti chaffing shorts have, then I'll be happy enough with the price. I do feel they are good quality items and would and have reccomend them to friends.

We’re sorry to hear that you find some of our products a bit expensive, we’d love to explain why we price them the way we do, so that we can reassure you that it’s a price worth paying. We're a very small UK-based company, and our high quality products that are designed by us, and manufactured exclusively for us by our trusted manufacturers in the UK and Italy, are designed to last, and not mass-produced. All our packaging, leaflets and stationary are bought from local companies in Cornwall, where we’re based, and we pay all our staff higher than the Real Living Wage, as we value our well-trained team. Doing things this way does inevitably increase our costs, so this does need to be reflected in the price of our products. We’re proud of the way we do things, and determined not to compromise our ethics to make our products cheaper.
We hope you continue to enjoy our products for years to come!
Excellent company to deal with
I have bought a few items from this company snd I have found their products and customer service to be second to none. I once ordered the wrong item but was able to return the item without any trouble at all. I have recently bought their “comfort bra” - this item is aptly named, as it is the most comfortable bra I have ever bought. Thank you for your very thoughtful products and your EXCELLENT customer service. DONT BE SFRAID TO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
