Theoaksmere Avis 

Booked overnight stay at The Oaksmere for Valentines. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Very pleasant, efficient receptionist who swiftly checked us in and showed us where bars and restaurant was and how to get to our room.
We had deluxe king room which was lovely.
Had a couple of drinks in the main bar and then cocktail bar where all staff were very friendly and efficient. We then went to restaurant for Valentines 3 course meal. We chose beef wellington for our main course which was amazing as was the whole meal/experience.
Breakfast next morning was equally delicious. We were delighted with the whole experience and will certainly recommend to friends and family and return in the future

I ordered an overpriced steak sandwich; which arrived tough, unseasoned and cold. When the staff asked if everything was okay with the meal, they answered the question themselves and rushed off to deal with some apparently more important customers. If you want a cheeseburger... go to McDonalds. They know what "hot" means, and you'll save yourself a ton of money.

Great Break; the perfect weekend retreat to relax

Although my wife and I live relatively close to the Oaksmere, this was our 3rd visit. It’s the combination of beautiful grounds, comfortable facilities and well equipped rooms, plus great service that makes this hotel special.

On our second visit, just post covid lockdown there were some glitches, which was understandable, but disappointing. However everything is now running smoothly again. The food is delicious and the staff are attentive and to be praised on their attention to detail.

We hope to go back soon and would happily recommend the Oaksmere Hotel to our friends and relatives. Thank you to all at the The Oaksmere :)
